Like most supposedly f2p games, it's all about making you buy your progress. The game requires you to solve puzzles by collection objects from various rooms, but there's no way you can do it without using clues. The clues tend to be useless, such as pointing out which puzzle you need to solve next, which you probably already know... And then, if you use another clue, the game shows you the exact same thing again. It's a rip off with decent graphics.

Great game and just challenging enough for me! My only issue is that the hints don't offer much help. They just take you back to the puzzle you need to complete in order to advance, even if you dont have it yet. When I think I've exhausted all my options and there's nothing left to discover, I set it down for awhile and come back. I am currently stuck in the bunker and wasted a hint and haven't decided if it's me or the game. Overall, good game. Just needs a tweaking with the hints.

The connect the wires puzzle in one of the hidden object games doesn't work. I even looked at a YouTube walkthrough to make sure I did everything right and you add the lightbulb and the wires (after plugging in the machine with the papers on it to get the clue that shows how the wires are connected) and it just says to connect the wires but nothing happens when you click on the knobs, wires or on anything. Super disappointing. I'm on Samsung Galaxy S7 active.

Love the series except I'm having a terrible time with do.d of the puzzles! They don't fit my Android screen and I pull down the notification screen Everytime I hit a command? Or the ones that are mosaics or bands snap back as well as puzzle pieces.And in another NYM game I couldn't hit the down button without resetting the game. I wasn't given credit for games I did complete only skipping one. And completed the bonuses and wasn't given credit either? Whats up with that?

Since downloading the game, I have found a glitch. Twice now, the game has forced me to start over at the exact same spot. In the room where you look at the desk pad for the solution on the wall, once solved, when I attempt to go to the next task with a hint this time, the whole game resets and tajes me back to showing my I.D. to the grounds keeper. Please fix this issue.

I can't change my past rating for some reason, but I had gotten stuck at the bomb, it had glitched and I couldn't select the wires. I closed all the apps, including this one and when I went back in, it worked. Love the series, hopefully I won't run into another glitch.

I really enjoy all of the Five BN games, NYM included. However, this one had a bug for me (android device) on the bomb puzzle outside the empire state building. The puzzle kept locking and wouldn't do anything as I was trying to complete. Even if I exited the puzzle and went back in. Had to restart my game several times before I finally got it to work.

I'm playing these in order so I've only played this one and the two previous games. So far these games are fun and really good puzzle games. But the puzzles in this one are not as good as the first two games. I feel like several of the puzzles don't make sense when trying to figure out how to solve them. When I did figure them out, I'm left frustrated and scratching my head behind the logic the Devs used for a particular item to use in a puzzle. As a whole, the series so far is great.

TO DEVELOPER: I didn't know that my click wouldn't work before using hints so I didn't take SS :( Exciting and thrilling story. The video parts seem like little time travel + adventure movies Great to be able to play the game without having to buy hints. Reason for 4 stars: I did the correct move to solves puzzles, etc. in some chapters but nothing happened. Then I used the hint to show me the same move I just did. So some of the hints were used for nothing. good if you like riddles and puzzles.

I'd like these games better if they were more logical and straightforward, without all the running back and forth. The puzzles are great (although I did need a walkthrough for a couple, as it wasn't worth the time to keep fussing with them), and searching for and collecting items can be fun. However, it's one thing to gather items that you will need as you progress through the game-- it's another to have to return to the beginning because the item you need is hidden in some location that is supposedly miles away. How did it get there in the first place? And who hides the handle to a winch in a jewel chest?

All of these NYM games are very well made. No odd grammatical errors. Puzzles aren't too easy or too difficult. The only time you see an ad is to get an extra hint. I like how when you're finished with a section in a room the screen automatically closes and the main games are pretty long. Plus you get a little bonus chapter to play.

These New York Mysteries games are great, i plan to play them all!! This is my third one and they all have been a great mix of story, puzzles, and natural problem solving to move the story forward. Fun mix of hidden object, logic, and Myst like puzzles to solve. Hints are available if you get stuck but patience and perseverance is usually enough to get past each puzzle. Enjoy!

I'm such a fan of Five-BN games! The storylines, the adventures, the graphics, the puzzles/games, etc...they're all so exciting and intriguing! When 1st playing, I got a little frustrated, but after getting the hang of the way things are done and applying some patience, I can't get enough now. I'm going to be devastated when I've played all the games they have - I'm but going to know what to do with myself!

This is an awesome game and series! The graphics are great. The story lines are entertaining. The only problem I've had with their games is sometimes the game slows down/lags but this is probably more because of my old phone. Even with this their games have never crashed or lost my progress in the game. If I close everything out and restart the game it's all good again. The developers of these apps truly no how to make a quality, challenging, fun and keep you wanting more game!

The use for the powder and cork were odd. I like that the keys had a characteristic that correlated with where they would be used. Towards the end of the game I tried to go through each room to find the collection items and still didn't complete most of them. Nice variety of mini games. Edit: looks like many ppl had difficulty with connecting the wires in the Empire State building. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working at first then by accident i realized u have to touch and drag to connec

Marked improvement over NYM 1 & 2. Absolutely can be free to play. No annoying ads!!!! Thank you to the developers for this. I didn't need the hints but will purchase some just to be supportive of developers who aren't using a pay to win model. Sometimes the items are hard to see on my android device but I'm willing to go "click crazy" if it means I don't have to sit through annoying ads. Your hard "work" and problem solving skills are rewarded with this system. 5 stars!

There is a major "glitch" in the last HOP that prevented from connecting wires to obtain a key. Without this key, one cannot finish the game. Strangely enough though, I was able to purchase coins to skip the puzzle and proceed. This seemed like a manipulative move to obtain cash. I'm really disappointed in the developers for inserting a deliberate scam. I would've given a five star rating but this ruined it. I will never recommend these games due to this.

Interesting story. Not well suited for phones- some puzzles are off the screen, and you have to do a lot of pixel hunting. Map is much better than in 2. It's not very linear to play: stuff is all over the map, never close to where you need it. I'd like to play without consulting a walkthrough constantly because I don't know what to do, or where something was. Bonus chapter was nice that way. A couple puzzles made no sense at all.

This, so far, has been the worst game of the series (1-3) - none of the item locations made any sense, (like why would a piece of a display of art from HQ be in the floor boards of the villain's aunt's neighbor's house - not actual example so no spoilers ) and I found myself having to watch a million ads for clues because everything was just so convoluted, spending a lot of time each scene frantically trying to tap every millimeter. I liked the first 2, so I will try #4 but hope it's better

Another great game from this developer. The map was much better in this game than some of their more recent games. As with the others, this is originally a PC game ported over for mobile. Because of this, sometimes collection items may be harder to find, maps may be too hard to see for reasonable navigation, and there is occasionally a struggle to find areas of interest. The storyline and puzzles were interesting and challenging. I think I only needed a walkthrough for missed areas of interest.
