I had this app to study Korean and now I'll have to switch to the 다음 dictionary. I have no idea why Naver changed to EN-EN when a large number of users needed and wanted to use it for EN-한/한-EN. Even if I uninstall and reinstall and select 한 it still only allows me to use EN-EN which is really frustrating. Please change back. There are enough EN dictionaries.

This app was amazing before changing to an English dictionary. I used it for my Korean studies but now, there's no option to use it as a Korean dict. It was way better as a korean dictionary and I think if the company wants to have an English dictionary, please give us an option to choose what we're learning. This was a really nice app, I'm disappointed:(

It was a good app for learning/studying Korean. But then they updated it to whatever nonsense it is now and it defaults to an English dictionary. Why would we use Naver as and English dictionary when there are other better dictonary apps out there. If I wanted an English dictionary I would use a US/UK one. With how the app is now, it's tedious and confusing to navigate and even find the Korean dictionary, which was why I even downloaded this app in the first place.

I used to use it to find meanings of Korean words. Now, every time I open it, it defaults to just being an English dictionary. So I search a Korean word and it just brings up an error. I have to manually change it every time to include Korean. There seems to be no way to change the default. Why would I need Naver to tell me the meaning of English words in English?

Pretty good. Gives access to multiple Korean dictionaries (several bilingual, and one monolingual). Main target is Koreans wanting to understand English, but also fairly useful for English-speakers wanting to understand Korean. Can be difficult-to-impossible to track down a Korean word by entering prospective English translations.

The app is very good, but the problem is logging in. I m not able to login outside Korea. It says response time out always. Cross checked network connectivity too. It happens all the time even after reinstalling the new version too. I would greatly appreciate if the developers could fix this error. Login error occurs with Naver app too. Please please fix this.

The app is slow as ever, but that is not the problem, still the best Korean dictionary there is. Why have you changed the suggestion seach engine? Now it offers some completely irrelevant phrases and expressions and I just want a core and derivated words so I dont have to waste time and actually press search every time! Please put it back to older version! (If so I will increase my rating)

I've been using this dictionary for more than 2 years now with no problem but these days (august 2021) it's so difficult to even opening it. It will show only texts with no design and it wont load at all. Tried to close and open gain and still the same. Out of 15 times using this app in a day (more or less), only 2 or 3 times it opened normally.

current status: getting overly emotional because of the color change. In all seriousness though, this app is incredible if you are trying to learn Korean. Not only is it easily the best Korean dictionary you can find online, but it also provides you with many more useful functions such as the Papago translator (although there is also a separate app), vocabulary lists for TOPIK and so on. There are some bugs but those can be easily forgiven considering the usefulness of this app

Excellent features for learners of Korean language with drama lessons and guide to fluency and pronunciation too! However, there's no full dictionary download for offline use and those without internet connection or slow connection, it is a pain to use. I travel extensively and most times I am in the remote and would like to utilise the dictionary for my own practice but it's impossible. I hope Naver would consider allowing the dictionaries to be downloaded and fully functional within the Naver app for people like us who have limited access. The drama lessons are so useful to hear the correct pronunciation and the way to say it in Korean. The audio phonetic guides are also great. I gave 4 stars because of no offline function for dictionary access the way Pleco for Chinese has. Pls incorporate the offline accessibility for Korean-English-Korean dictionaries!

The app itself it's good, but the layout and the fact that it's not intuitive it's a huge problem. Now that I'm used to it I can understand how it works, but when I first started I was completely lost, I don't know if was the layout, the endless options that the app kept popping at my screen or if I was just quite dumb. I think lots of people could give up on it bc it's not rlly easy to use. The rest is amazing, it's a very good app that needs to be redesigned, or a video to how to use it, lol.

Sometimes 'Unable to connect to network. Please check your network connection and try again' message still appears on the Papago page. But it doesn't seem as buggy as it used to be. Still one of the best (most accurate Korean translators). What's been removed was the really handy feature of having example sentences with the word you look up below. Please re-add this and it would be 4 stars.

Used to be the most reliable Korean dictionary, after the latest update its absolutely useless. No matter what I do it still works as an English dictionary (as if we don't have enough English dictionaries!). The website works just fine, but an app is horrible after the update. It gives you an option to use the old version though, at least thanks for that

Good app and content. But it is overwhelmed with contents which I'm not interested in.The UI is very confusing and difficult to navigate. Page loads quite slow, but that's fine for me. Most of the time, the word suggestion is inaccurate. It would be nice if the app gives more customizability or let me set specific page as my home according to my needs.

App is accurate and nice, with a lot of content and not just dictinary and translations. App isn't Buggy, decent one, but one problem, doesn't log in at all, tried logging in with Facebook, with naver, but it's always showing try later after 60 min and doesn't log in at all. This prevents me from using the wordbook, and I suppose that was the most awaited feature for me

Very useful. I always recommend it to all my students. Advanced and evolving. Please stop referring English as British English. English is English. Only America puts their name in front of it!!! It says a lot!!! Only America calls it British English. It is stupid. It is like saying nan bread!!! Nan means bread. It is like saying 3 pm in the afternoon!! Please wise up.

Awhile ago it was good but after the UI update its the worst. App is buggy-3 line menu Button is not responsive( its not justmy phone i checked with other phones too). Its a dictionary app get rid of all other stupid naver side apps & provide dictionary on the main page. Ui is not intuitive& looks very cluttered. Settings are chaotic and unorganized. And to change settings u gotta login? Ridiculous!!! learn from Google, keep UI simple, organized& user friendly &streamlined without bugs.

Really intuitive and easy to customize the shortcuts and where the English-Korean dictionary is the first thing that's on my homepage when I open the app. Love the interface for the dictionary & flashcards. I also get to learn new vocab on "word/phrase of the day" and Korean cuisine. I really appreciate that there are videos to aid me in my learning progress.

Such a useful app for learning and practicing Korean! It has really neat features like a dictionary for words, word of the day, and etc. My favorite feature is the daily Korean conversation, where you listen to a random conversation, and translate it back to English to see what it means, it really trains your ear, it's so helpful! If you need an app to practice your Korean, I think you should download this and give it a try. Thank you to the creators, all the way from the United States (^v^)♥︎

So far it was all good, the best dictionary app ever. My fav function was the word book! But now I see some kind of glitch. There had been an update on word book function and sometimes it is the new version and sometimes it is the old one. The problem is that I thought I saved it, but if the vocabulary was saved in old ver, it doesnt show on the new version, which is very confusing. I like the new one and I get it why Naver kept the old version(because they are not convertible 100%).
