Seems good, but after you install the app they tell you it is a trial for 7 days before you must pay to use it.

Only notifies of subscriptions after you make an account. This means that they get your information for free before you back out and delete the app.

Great maps, beautiful and informative. The depth of information about the geology, ecology and biology of the land is incredible! It would be great to see information about indigenous cultures and territories as well one day!

Fantastic map BUT $40 per year is really too much. As a light user, I would totally pay $5 for a month every time I need it, but not $40 for a year when mostly I don't need it.

If I could give it one star I would. Opted for the one week trial. Will cancel after one hour, can't get the app to open it keeps sending me to the sign up where I get an error message that I'm signed up.

Looks like a good app, but between the $40 /yr to use any features and Required Subscription to set anything Private... Hard avoid.

Super expensive annual subscription and forces you to be part of user community that shares your user info, places you visit, and actions. Serious data safety issues. No thanks. Nice maps but not worth it.

Just used this for the first time this week. I am loving it. I am using it to track the flora and fauna, local water sources and routes for my foraging adventures! Now I can keep track of where I forage and gather other wildcraft supplies!

This may be a great app but unfortunately i live in South Central alaska and there is no trail info for 98% of the state. I dont understand how a place like this has zero trails on it. Only thing i can say is im glad there is a 7 day free trial period!

App couldn't do anything without crashing. Not a single useful feature is available without a subscription. The app does look like it might actually be decent if they fix it.

Useless outside the USA. There's no indication anywhere in the sign up that none of the advanced features work in other countries, which is extremely frustrating. Also can't change to metric units

literally the first thing the app shows is asking you to purchase premium before you even really know what the app is like. once you get past that everything is half or fully barred by premium. if you wanted to make a paid app then just make a paid app and dont make a skeleton with no features that pretends its free.

Best outdoors app for hiking/exploring. Lot of data but very easy/intuitive to navigate; This app has been on iOS exclusively until now, I've tried pretty much every android alternative and have always been disappointed it was Natural Atlas.

Looks like a nice idea with a bunch of interesting base maps even if it's way more limited in the free version than say Komoot. I wonder how useful it is outside the US though; you can't even change it to sane (i.e. metric) units. I'll check back in a year or so.

The annual cost of the "Plus" version is simply too high. The app is great, the maps are fantastic and the name natural Atlas is an apt description. But the current fee of $40 per year for offline maps, etc is much too high.

The app crashes for me anytime I try to open any trail. Tried clearing cache. No luck. Just opted for the free trial, not impressed with it the moment, could of been a recent update. Will check back if there is hot fix Edit: they fixed it same day. App seems pretty sick when it works

Beautiful maps! When I first heard of Natural Atlas a few months ago, I was blown away by the maps- they are as close to National Geographic quality that I have found on a digital map. However, they did not have an Android app until now. This will likely become my go-to mapping app on my phone!

Incredibly beautiful maps with a lot of thought put into them. I enjoy the field guide aspect, being able to click on any point and learn about the plants, animals, geology, etc of a given area. Also useful for GPS on trails and making notes. This app has huge potential and many of the features are still being developed. Features like range maps will certainly improve with more users. Excited for what this could be in the future.

it's a genuinely decent software. I wish the roads were easier to see. and that it had more support for different kinds of trails. like a filter. but. it does have all the roads and trails and shows the flora, fauna, etc. in the area which is a nice and interesting touch. I also like that it uses Google maps to navigate to trail heads which is nice and familiar and mostly reliable. I'm impressed. I wouldn't say it's as good as Co Trex. but it does have several nice and unique points going for it
