The lights are great when they're working and half the time they aren't. You need a phone and correct internet connection, that's problem number one and two. It's a case of more technology does not equal better product. The deal is a good portion of what the lights can do is kind of cool but unnecessary and not in the interest of your average person. It's basics could be captured through the use of a remote control and save us all the grief of the lights constantly malfunctioning. Simplify.

Worked wonderfully for 2 months, now suddenly my mini triangles are unreachable. I tried soft resetting, as that was the only solution available online (besides hard resetting), and now I can't connect the app to the panels AT ALL! Absolute garbage for the cost of the panels. Never again will I waste my money on this greedy, anti-consumer brand. Going to tell everyone, from now on, to buy the Govee brand lights from Amazon as those are brighter, cheaper, and the app is phenomenal.

Complete garbage. Works about 10% of the time. Unresponsive...forces you to have to click 30 to 100 times just to switch the profile to another....and 80% of the time you download something to your nanoleaf lights They're gone the next time you load it... as if it never saved it, even if you favorite the download. Wireless troubleshooting with support went nowhere, The issue is the app, not network. It's a piece of junk on Android. Please fix this. I will not buy more until I have this working.

No end of connection issues. I can't count the number of times I have reset the lights, uninstalled and reinstalled this app, and so much more trying to get the damn things connected in just the few months I've had them. And every time you spend multiple hours getting them to talk to each other, just a few days or weeks later it can no longer find the device and you start all over. The app is painfully slow and buggy, it's infuriating. These lights have brought me more frustration than anything.

So boguous that I would not even know where to start: constantly crushes, actions and customizations are not saved and so many others. 5 months later and the app/devices still have like 90% of the bugs. Thread support is just a fantasy. I'm using Bluetooth connections, but are so slow. Imagine that you enter the room in the night and you have to wait for about 10s to turn on the light. Sometimes, when it doesn't work, I just give up and go to a different room.

This is horrendous. I'm pretty my lights don't work because of the app. This is the third time I've bought panels and they all end up doing the same thing and eventually stop responding or don't even work! My black panels aren't even found on the app, none of them are! I've done all the power cycling options including with my wifi router to no avail. I've only have my black set for a year now. DO NOT INVEST IN NANOLEAF. They for a tike being and then just stop altogether

Return your bulbs immediately. This app crashes frequently and each individual bulb connects for only a second at a time and rarely at the same time as the others. It takes about 5 minutes each time I want to turn them on in the morning and off at night. Are the lights too bright when you're watching a movie? Good luck changing them. It's a massive pain.

I've had the Nanoleaf light panels for over 2 years. In that time Alexa connectivity comes and goes, and I've been unable to pair the device with my phone for over a year. Panels are great. App is worthy of saying do not buy anything Nanoleaf until this is fixed, beta tested, and confirmed working on the most popular phones as a bare minimum.

Great lights TERRIBLE app For how much money these lights costed me ($360+) I would expect a pretty good app. Tons of connection errors so I end up flipping through the lights manually. Not to mention I can't even connect my Alexa smart device. Customer service is pretty good but I can't even use the app most of the time!! I have to restart the app, restart my wifi, and then MAYBE- it will connect.

I can not get any of my light to connect. At one point I had them all set up with scenes, and automation. Now the app can never connect to any of the lights. I've followed all of the suggestions to fix the problem. As of now I've re-installed the app and non of my lights will connect. Via qr scan or manually entering. I don't know what else to try. I've searched through Reddit, I've searched through nanoleaf q&a. Nothing has been able to get me re connected again.

Moderately difficult to connect/set up; instructions aren't always clear. Devices and app often freeze/crash or disconnect. A real annoyance for me is that once you add "scenes" (color setups/visuals) to your devices, there seems to be no way to delete them from the devices--even if you hit the max. The app is often uncooperative, unintuitive, and not user friendly. It'd be awesome if it could get a revamp; they can do better. When they work, they're great, but avoid if you're impatient like me.

Not only did the panels stop working after a year, but the support sucks... there is no phone no. To contact support, and they take months to reply...I have been going back and forth with them on email for almost 6 months now... once I respond, I have to wait a month for them to respond back. update: now I issue with the light turning in by itself and changing theme all by itself. very annoying when it turns on middle of the. night at 2 am

Sometimes it just turns on or off for no reason. You can't change the wifi without doing a factory reset of the device. Now the app just isn't working at all. Oh and while I'm typing it randomly just went to deep red at full brightness. These products are not cheap but this app is. Which is actually not true. The app is non functioning. It looks sleek but is basically horseglue and rat fur.

Up until early November, the nanos worked great with only a few bugs. Now,that won't stay connected to the app and will freeze on the scene. I've done soft and hard resets, but nothing works. We've only been using this device for 6 months. If this is a hardware issue, these things should be 20% of the price. Edit: revised from 1 star. Nano had a batch of bad parts. they sent one for free after a long delay with customer service and sending a long video of me doing the setup as they described.

Great product. Garbage UI. I don't understand how the devs were able to create such great algorithms for lighting effects, but an absolutely unusable app. It was a nightmare to configure the devices to begin with. Then, none of my preferred settings ever save. After this last update, I have 0 control over my devices through the app. And forget trying to sync with your smarthome.

as soon as the app is closed and reopened it seems to forget the lights were ever connected or online. I have to attempt to reconnect the lights every time I use them. it feels like a waste of money. the lights themselves had such great colors and I wish they worked better solely over Bluetooth to keep it as simple as possible.

When I first bought the app 2 months ago I could download themes for my tv lights, but now since the update I can no longer download a single theme outside of the ones I previously downloaded. The app is very picky when having it run in the background, as well, as it will stop working completely so you have close the app just to turn the lights off if you, say, went to another app for any reason. I feel like I've been cheated out of my money. Plus to use all features you have to have a PC.

Your phone must be on the same WiFi network as the lights or it will not connect. Also, any VPN needs to be disabled for it to connect. The app now detects when a VPN is engaged. I have multiple access points, so I have to follow a multi-step protocol each time in order to connect. That needs improvement. Recently I had an issue with the functionality. Nanoleaf Support kindly reached out and helped me get the string lights functioning properly I am happy to report.

I have two Secret lab desks. One has the wifi lights, the other connects via Bluetooth. I used to be able to preview themes on both. Then, one day, the previews would only show on the wifi lights, but at least I could download them and use the themes for both led strips. Now magically, as somebody else mentioned in a previous comment, I am unable to download themes. That is very disappointing because I was interested in other Nanoleaf products, but now I have no faith in this app.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why nanoleaf can't get the controllers right. I have 3 sets of shapes: 1 hexes and 2 triangles. in the 4 years I've had them, I've replaced the controllers 4 times and yet 2 of them are broke again. As in, complete failure. The one remaining one I have loses communication after a couple of days every time I re-set it up. The ones I replaced had the same issue. Constant communication failures, perpetual unlinking with Google Home... by far the worst
