I have been left locked out of my car multiple times from trusting this app to unlock my vehicle. I always make sure i have service before locking with the app and have been stuck outside due to communication failures and host network issues on multiple occasions. It is slow to open and has to restart every time you want to open it. Sometimes, it does not send proper responses of whether it has performed the action you asked it's an all together clunky app. Why has this not been updated???

Using a mobile app to start your car is a neat idea on the surface. But, I have to stop and wait for the application to load to start my vehicle. If I were using the keyfob start, no wait just a button push. This app needs to be rebuilt using an offline first approach with speed in mind and the option to turn off sharing any data. Also, give us the option to leave the climate control setting alone.

Beware! They don't post prices anywhere and will happily quadrupple the price on your next bill. Nowhere will you find the price unless you call them. And conveniently you can't have the cheaper package ($50/yr security plus) without the more expensive one($100/yr safety plus). When original price was $80 for 3 years (may have been a new car deal). Not worth it!

Forced to pay for remote start & few conveniences. Not worth the $150/yr. Unable to remove my credit card nor stop autopay. Update: 8/30/2024: In service history, we service interval is a mandatory field but can only be used once. If you maintain your vehicle on different dates or do different maintenance to it, you're out of luck since you can only use a " service interval" option once only! That doesnt make sense - the developer likely doesn't maintain his own vehicle.

Update is bad. Don't fix what wasn't broken. We now have to log in with our email and password before also entering a pin or biometrics. Just to start the car. The point of remote start is convenience. This is inconvenient. If it isn't fixed, I just won't renew.

Updated 7/4/24 Previously has given the app 5 stars. It used to be a great app - everything worked as expected. Newest update (late June / early July 2024) has broken the "locate vehicle" function. Now it just says there is a problem a s to try again. When I log on to the website version, everything still works as it USED to on the app, including locate vehicle. Making the app less functional is just frustrating and pointless. Nothing seems to be "better" but things ARE now broken.

Last two updates have taken a serious set back to this app.. Navigation to locate the vehicle used to give an option of Google earth, waze, Lyft, Uber and Google maps. Now it defaults to Google maps with no option to change. If I select driving directions then go to walking directions it defaults to an address 2½ hours away when my vehicle is 100 yards from me. Unacceptable.. and absolutely it's trash now

The locate vehicle option doesn't work. The last app worked great, why change it. Update: I went ahead and reinstalled the previous version MySubaru_2.7.98_APKPure.apk and now have the "locate vehicle" back working again. (Samsung galaxy S22+) 07/15/2024 Update: The updated version 3.0.2 fixed the "locate vehicle" problem. It doesn't however, have a Satelite view .... just a street map. I miss the Satelite view, so I reinstalled version 2.7.98 . I changed my rating to 4 stars. V3.0.4 to 5 stars.

Giving 2 because I love the app, but like every other app it seems you've decided to redesign the layout and as a result made everything smaller which is annoying. Now instead of being able to tap my presets like normal to schedule my remote start it goes to edit my settings and I have to hit a tiny little sub button to actually start it. For the love of God I wish every app designer would stop making things smaller and zoomed out. Revert the UI or give me an option to.

Just Terrible. When activated it blocks ability to use Android Auto-no voice commands to phone, no display of phone maps. When reactivating Android Auto it deactivates Starlink. Remote start/stop of engine frequently fails, saying my Outback is in the middle of another process (it's just sitting there in the parking lot) or my phone has no data connection (it does or I wouldn't be able to type this). The list goes on. So damn frustrating. I just want to remote start my car!!! ps: I'm an IT guy

The latest update in the last few days broke this app, and I can't find a way to go back to the previous version. I try to remote start it to let the AC run for my dog while I run into the store, but it keeps saying my car is already running, when it's not. And if I tell it to "stop" the engine, it says an error occurred, but still says it's running, so I can't remote start it. On top of that, it's much slower to start up & login, and many more steps to remote start now, unlike before. I hate

How did y'all F up the redesign of this app so badly?? If I don't force quit or swipe up to remove this app from recent use (meaning I'll have to fully sign in again regardless of whether or not it's "saved" my credentials), then anytime I go back in to do a new action, it's still stuck on the last action I tried and tells me that the app is experiencing a problem. Also, you can no longer easily edit climate presets. Congrats, you did a horrible update.

v 3.0.2 introduced problems with system biometrics authentication. I used to be able to long-press start my vehicle; this no longer works. Authentication frequently fails, the app frequently crashes, so now it takes several seconds longer to start my car than it used to. The fact that there is no actual Subaru keyfob remote start available makes this all that much more frustrating, to the point where I won't buy another Subaru. It's unusable.

WAS a great app. I've used it for years. This last update made it a terrible app. Every time I go into it, it either falters or pops me back out. The font size is so small, I guess you don't want anyone over 40 to be able to read it or use it. It was so user-friendly before, and it's absolutely not anymore. You "new and improved" yourself right into a terrible app.

Since the last update, NOTHING on the app works. Unlock doors: App says it successfully unlocked the doors, but it did not. Horn & Lights: App says success, but nothing is happening. Locate Vehicle: App says it failed with a pop-up saying MySubaru is experiencing a technical problem. Update: with 7-8-2024 update features appear to be working again. We'll see.

Recent updates have done nothing but make the app slower and much, MUCH harder to read. It's like the developers are purposely using the absolute smallest fonts they can. Now it takes multiple seconds to even launch, the workflow to remote start takes longer, and the UI controls make no sense: toggle switches for what should really be just buttons. Awful. I used to love this app, now I genuinely hate using it.

I have a 2022 Forester why does the key not have a button to remote start it? Going into your phone is so annoying and unintuitive as heck. I'm walking up to my car and I have the keys in my hand and I want to start it to start cooling it. If you put a button on the key you could still have this check the subscription to make sure you're still getting your precious monthly revenue. Or just make enough on the car so you don't have to charge people yearly for something that should come no charge.

There's a bunch of cool features like remote start, lock & unlock from the app. It comes in handy when you get to your car to put stuff in it and you realize you forgot your key. I've done that a few times and keeps you from bringing stuff back and forth. In the app you can check any recalls and schedule maintenance things. I'm happy with the app overall.

App is fairly reliable, and I think recently got faster to load, but I think it still takes too long to open and finally press start. It'd be nice if they offered a widget that was a one button press, fingerprint auth, and done. With no delay. - add a start schedule, that reminds you to start your car ahead of leaving for work at a particular time. - allow a climate control setting that initially runs the car with all fans off for 5 minutes, then defrost max for 5 minutes

Daniel Perez

The app is slow and clumsy. I use it regularly to remote start my car, it often hangs while loading prior to asking for my pin or fingerprint. Other features such as remote lock / unlock and locate often take multiple requests to work. The remote start presets are clumsy and difficult to set up. It's also ridiculously overpriced. And the most recent update made all of that worse. Thanks for nothing.
