Absolutely worthless!!! They send you a code to verify every time you log in, but you can't look at the text or email without the app logging you out. Then when you go to take a pic of you W-2, it makes you leave the app and then it doesn't even import the W-2. Plus you have to try to login, again, and it doesn't let you start where you left off. You have to keep completing the same parts over and over. I ended up having to go to the website. TurboTax is significantly more user friendly.

I guess I'm not alone in my frustration. Iwas on here to see if updating or uninstall /reinstall would fix the fact that even if I just verified my email and momentarily switched to a different app less than a second to confirm something, that it wouldn't remember me and I'd have to reconfirm with another code I have used block for yrs and they had a way better setup before this yr. I s d. Chkd that I have the right one. Wth guys? I also have no idea why it's so hard to navigate the interface

Honestly the app is trash and could use some serious updating. I highly recommend using the actual website if you are attempting to navigate through each individual section on your tax forms. This is not possible in the app. Not even in the tax prep app. Last year I was quoted $89 and somehow ended up getting charged $300 in fees. Aside from this, I filed my taxes myself using the Deluxe version only because I had left my previous job and cashed out my retirement. Everything went smoothly.

This app is a pain to use and you can't edit anything you enter-so if you messed up any information, so you either knowingly submit a incorrect return then have to pay to amend the return OR get in trouble with IRS, neither is a good choice when a quick edit does the trick. It also takes upwards of an hour to get the mandated verification code EVERY SINGLE TIME you log on, even if using biometrics and authenticator. No patience for app that doesn't work and that's so important to be accurate!!

I've been waiting after submitting tax documentation for well over a month. the status has been sitting with the Tax Pro and I've had absolutely no communication of any type. there is no option given on the app or website to contact them digitally despite saying that the message center(which is not available) is the best way to contact your pro. the app does a wonderful job making me feel like I have no agency or ability to reach out. so far I am very unhappy with the forced minimalism.

Links don't work. Unsure how to review and check for errors. It seems to force things forward. Update: Still very hard to use. Info links don't work. I'm not sure where the AI was. It didn't do anything on the front end. I can't print my tax filing or fee receipt. I actually think it may be more broken than last year!

Absolutely worthless app. Can't even log in . There is no forgot password option so you have to verify who you are and it wants your full social security # and other info and then once you've entered all your personal info it just sends you to the password screen again. Was just trying to login to see my balance for my emerald card and if I would have known it had all kinds of fees I would have never gotten it. There was a basic fee list posted but nothing stating the inactivity or reload fee

Full of glitches and pages aren't completely viewable. Says to click edit, but the edit button is off in space somewhere, because I'm only see a part of the page. I have simple taxes, and this app made them overly complicated and frustrating. To make it worse, the glitches on my phone are different than the glitches on my tab. Been going back and forth with them and now I am stuck because neither of them are showing me the "EDIT" button that I must press to continue.

App doesn't work, constantly shows the loading spinning wheel, impossible to navigate to the screens I want/need. Also, I paid to keep my previous tax returns (which in itself is a scam), yet I suddenly no longer have access to them. I'll be switching to a different tax prep this season. Perhaps TurboTax, or maybe someone local who actually knows what they're doing, and not H&R Block "experts" who say things are correct yet somehow missed a $3,000+ discrepancy in tax withholding.

App sucks, on ever page it continues to show their green loading symbol. It's done this the entire time. Every time I click on the help options or the helpful links. It does nothing!! CLAIMS you can file for free but then if that's not the option you did last year it'll just automatically set you with that same package. I've had to go back multiple times, I can't even upload my forms!! Entering manually exactly as the form is but still tells me I did somethg wrong. For sure switching next year!!

I've been using H&R block since 2020. They keep editing the app each year, upgrades and updates, and the app gets harder and more annoying to work with by yourself. Now, this year, I'm getting a non-stop green spinning loading thing, and even if the page loads, the spinning thing stays there. Can't take pictures. It sends me back to MAIN PAGE after I finally get to the part where I can put in that EIN. I want to use the app. It's supposed to be more convenient. Now I have to go find a computer.

I only downloaded due to getting a refund anticipation loan on an emerald card and being told I needed to download to see the balance and transactions on that card. It won't let me add the card. I've tried for 3 weeks, even reset my pin. It's beyond frustrating! update 3/31 still can't get the card working and customer service was of absolutely no help. said just try again in 2 hrs. total waste of time money and energy. cost is not worth it!!!

This app is created by a 10-year old who was also too lazy to test its functionality before release. Don't get it unless you want to be sucked into an endless cycle of screens that tell you to download this app (well, you ARE using the app but you will be asked to download it, yes, unpack that notion), which makes you jump through multiple authentications just to do it all over again. Do you like the never disappearing spinning circle on your screen? You're in luck as it comes with it for free!

Android. The app has bugs, but I was still able to file my taxes. I suggest using the website, instead. 1. There was a constant "loading" green circle in the middle of the screen throughout the whole filing process. 2. The links that give you more info about the process ("learn more") don't work; and neither do other links and buttons. 3. The last-name line did not allow me to enter my full last name. it's longer than most. 4. At one point it was adding a form/penalty that did not apply to me.

It's useless. I had the site send me a text verifying my account 6 times. Never sent. Tried verifying with my email. Send me back to the page asking for my phone number. H&R Block must be really pushing to get people in the door. More money, most likely. Just like Turbo Tax, they'll take out an insane fee from tax returns no matter what.

Used for years because turbotax was going to charge me. Never switched back after learning turbo is free for military. It was too much hassle. Messed up on a w2 and didn't realize until I tried to file and it said I had to mail in. Went to start over and couldn't. Tried to call and ai said my taxes aren't actually filed (even tho the app does) so basically it didn't give me any help. Couldn't talk to a rep because the free version doesn't offer live help. Back to turbotax I go!

This app is seriously messed up. It won't upload my W-2. It keeps circling and circling and doesn't go anywhere. Items like mortgage interest with extra information or other real estate taxes with extra information tabs can't be access. You hit the button and nothing happens. I entered all my mortgage information manually and it sent me back to the same screen asking me to enter it. It didn't save my information. This app needs some serious work. I don't recommend anyone use it.

If I could give zero stars, I would. There is no option to change your tax professional after making a selection. This should be an option every year, not just a one time choice. Navigation can be difficult when uploading documents. When filling out forms, you cannot scroll enough to see what you're typing. The text boxes near the bottom of each page will remain beind your keyboard.

To be blunt... The app sucks. It's hard to move around between tax forms. Navigation within filing is clunky, confusing and almost too basic. Its hard to find the search for a form, it doesn't show you current return amount and no matter what I get a constant spinning circle in the center like it's loading, but it's not. The webpage on an actual computer is very easy to use and user friendly. I feel like they made an app to make one, but gave up on development and updating interface.

this app ahs had nothing but bugs. last year was so difficult and I'd upload documents but my tax person couldn't see any of them. i ended up driving to a location,which was out of state. and having them upload it for her to be able to do my taxes. this year, i can't even log in. it insist on verifying me with a text or email but then never sends me the text or email. then I try to see if maybe I need to make a new account, but then it says I already have one. this app is usless.
