More About My Budget Book
Budget mode allows you to set limits or goals, over custom periods of time. Buying too much clothing? Set a monthly cap. Spending too much on coffee-to-go? Set a weekly limit. Saving for a dream vacation? Set a savings target for every two weeks. Define limits for credit card accounts or other payment types. You can even toggle “rollover” for your budgets – account for every bit owed or saved!

*Again, for security reasons, there is no Internet permission. To use the app on multiple devices, or to add automatic backups to your cloud, please read the chapter Synchronization in the integrated manual.

The best budgeting and financial tracking app I've found. Easy to maintain, powerful, flexible. Imported several different CSV files without any pye-formatting (exports from my banking website, for example), worked great. My brief rating drop to 3 stars for a failed backup was 100% my error. I was in a rush and realized later I had restored the automatic backup on my new phone instead of the one downloaded from my old phone. Sorry about that :)

This app is simple, but has so much data! Budgets are very easily managed, spending categories are completely customizable, and there is so much data available! A handy graphical displays money spent and money remaining for each budget, and it can be customized to include only certain spending or income categories. A year view shows you your forecasted money if your spending habits remain the same all year. And pie charts dig into each category of spending and income. Information rich!!

Been using for over three years now. The absolute BEST. Biggest selling point: NO INTERNET. Setting up went smoother after I read the manual (duh on me). Does it all: credit cards, current and projected income/expense; graphs; personalized categories; recurring transactions; running balances; etc. Auto backup to device storage then do manual backup to SD card. Kudos to developer!!

tried all the other free budgeting apps. this is the only one that worked for my brain. all the other apps are just trying to sell you credit cards. if you really want to build a model in your brain of your financial situation, manually entering every transaction is the best way to do it. there is a learning curve to the app. it's a lot of work, but the rewards are invaluable.

This is a great budgeting app that makes it easy to keep track of spending. It is quite in-depth with plenty of features, but I tend to use more of the basic features to allow me to keep track of my monthly income and expenses. If you take the time to enter details like purchase category, the app creates pie charts and detailed expenditure lists which are convenient to use.

This is just OUTSTANDING in every imaginable way! FIRSTLY, it is an excellent and easy way (very intuitive!) to enter and manage your everyday personal AND business expenses, and it so easy to export from for your accounting records. This does a FAR better and more accurate job than I could ever do by constantly writing in a notebook, keeping receipts (etc) and then transcribing everything. So fast and easy. SECONDLY - this is huge - it does NOT force any ridiculous or inappropriate permissions on the user. Very private and secure. LOVE IT.

This is the easiest and quickest financial app I've ever used. I paid for the app and it is well worth it. Assigning accounts, categories and subcategories is a breeze. One thing this app has that I've never seen in any of the many apps I've tried over the years is a template feature. I use it a lot, especially for entries like groceries. Update 3/1/23. Great customer service. I couldn't see how to show running balance. When I posted my review developer notified me right away how to see it.

Two months into using this app and in my opinion it is probably one of the best budgeting apps out there. I have tried many budgeting apps and this one is probably the most pliable. There is a little bit of a learning curve but once you figure how you want use it for your budgeting it becomes very easy to use and intuitive. The feature I like the best is the ability to attach a picture of a receipt to each transaction. I drop the photo on my SD card and link it to the transaction. Works perfect!

Love it, used it for years. The app has all the functionality you'd want if you're looking for completely offline app that never syncs to your financial accounts. It can easily be customized while remaining highly intuitive. Be warned that I'm having to purchase this app again on my new phone (although I'm using the same Google account as my old one). I'm happy to do it and support the developer. This is a little treasure.

My Budget Book is super convenient and flexible. I used to just budget on a memo pad in my phone and do all the math myself every day, but with this app its easy to just plug in the expenses, income, etc and it does all the work for you. I havent had any issues with it so far. Its simple design is clean and straight to the point. No filler, no useless space. Straight to the point and very convenient!

I used Every Dollar for a few months and hated the interface and how tedious it all was. This is literally checked every single box I was wishing every dollar had. Do yourself the favor of getting this app. Best 4 bucks I've ever spent. So easy to navigate, put in expenses and income, recurring payments, one time payments, expiration dates on loans. It's just overall awesome.

absolutely brilliant. i have used over a dozen other free apps before, trying to get a workable budgeting system goin, and everytime i would find a glaring fault. i was finally willing to spend the measly 3 bucks on this app after reading the other reviews and it was completely worth it. Flawless. Great account making tools, transfers, budgetmaking with the ability to roll over balances if you so desire, and with spending breakdowns with as much detail as you want. I can't recommend it enough.

Phenomenal app! I use it almost every day. The UX/UI is excellent and it's a great way to track your expenses and organize your budget. I've tried about a dozen budget apps and the others don't shine a light on this one, so well done developers! One feature I would love to see added is themes, specifically and AMOLED (pitch black) theme. Also, if you could change the category list to customizable icons with titles, it would be more user-friendly. An undo button would be great as well.

Having used MS Money for 20 plus years and Quicken before that I now want a mobile app. I tried quite a few but soon gave up on them as they didn’t provide the features I had in MS Money. However, My Budget Book is exactly what I have been looking for. Sure, there is a learning curve, but it is worth it. The ability to customise the settings and presentation of your financial data is for me the outstanding feature of the app. Many thanks for the great support from the developer through app.

Perfect. I used Good Budget which wouldn't wouldn't track the budget progress if you adjusted or added one mid month, nor track multiple checking accounts, savings or credit card balances. This app does it all. I've deleted bank accounts and budgets and everything else during this practice month with it and had to start over, but through my own fault as I learn it because it does a lot more than I was used to. Skip the other apps and go with this one, this one does it all.

I really like this app. It wouldn't take much for me to move to 5 stars. 1.) There is very little how to as you begin using the app, so the learning curve was a little steep. 2.) I would love to see either a savings goals tab where I can do essentially the same thing as the 'budget' function. Alternatively, simply allowing negative numbers to ge incorporated as the starting number in the budget tab would allow the same thing. This is a really solid a smooth running app, and I love the charts

Nice app, I like how customizable it is. Small learning curve when setting up parts of it. I had to figure somethings on my own. Only improvement might be some more description in its functions. Example: when I was setting up to clearing bills from bank account. I had to search for the right functions. Overall this is a great app, still using it for multiple accounts and budgets. Good Build.

UPDATE: It's 2024 and I'm still using this app. It's still the best. ... 2017 review: No need to sync with your account. Tons of options. Easy to use. Easy to set up multiple budgets, monthly allowances, reoccurring charges, etc. This app has kept me on track for almost a year now. What I love is I can set it up to work how I want it to work instead of being forced into someone else's idea of good budgeting. Tried a bunch of the others like mint, etc. This is my favorite.

Great App. No Data sharing. Manual entry. Simple to use and nice features and charts. I wish there was a more intuitive way to track credit card balances and payments. Also, charts are amazing, but zooming in/out always wants to slide to next tab rather than zoom. Manageable, and may be Device specific, but should have it when multi-touch detected, swiping to another tab is disabled. Responsive Developer/support

This is a phenomenal budget tracking app. I have used a few previously and they all were okay but wouldn't allow for the depth and tracking I wanted. This app has everything I have wanted and more, from reoccurring transactions to tracking multiple accounts simultaneously. 10/10, I'm so happy I've found this and purchased it!
