• IPS/UPS ROM patching

This is a perfectly serviceable emulator - It has speed-ups, savestates and other features you expect. The bad: it request access to your Google accounts, constantly. This is supposed to be so that saves can be stored in your Google Drive, but there are better ways to go about it than for the app to appear in the notification tray every single day requesting access to each of your Google accounts. I therefore reccommend you check out any of the other excellent GBA emulators out there.

The emulator works well enough. It isn't perfectly accurate, especially with sound but the only game this really breaks is Mother 3. My big gripe is that the automatic savestate on closing feature has one big bug: It won't work for a second running instance when linked locally. This means if you have two games linked and you close one, not only will it not save the state but even if you save in the actual game, the next time the emulator opens it it will automatically open the previous savestate and overwrite the .sav file. This has been game ruining for trading pokemon and caused me to lose more than one. My other gripe is that my phone was stolen and when I went to open the old savestates backed up on Google drive, they wouldn't load. Actual .sav files worked fine, but savestates caused the emulator to freeze so I lost a lot of progress I was relying on having backed up

I wish I could give it 10 stars. And cloud saves!? I think I may cry... Update 2023: This is the best app. When Android caused a bunch of things with storage access to change, there was an update where the app stopped working so I emailed the developer. Less than TWO days later, there is an update to fix it! That turn around time is amazing. I have emailed other developers and had bugs that stuck around for months. Kudos to the dev(s).

Fantastic emulator, but it definitely needs some updating as it's not the best it could be for a premium item. I personally haven't had the issues some others have, but that doesn't invalidate their troubles. Also, guys, there is indeed a reason why it runs in the background and has email activity -- It's literally for the save backups and sync options. Just turn that feature off if it troubles you.

I love it. It's great for Fire Emblem, and Pokémon when I want to play that occasionally too. I love the customization and everything and the fact you can have both landscape and portrait setup within one option for quick switching, and on a new phone it is a super smooth experience. 10/10, I would recommend. I only wish there was an NES or SNES version by these guys. I have some super old Fire Emblem games I would want to play on it..

Been using this emulator since I was in school. Well the free version that is. But this one is leaps and bounds better. Super user friendly works well on any phone. If I had one issue at all it would be the d pad control in the emulator. It can be a bit inconsistent at times but other than that this app is a great way to waste a few hours playing some classics.

Myboy has been the emulator Ive used for GBA games for years. But recently, there is an issue with save data. Games run great, and save just fine, but if I wanted to pull the save data or upload save data, it's impossible now. I don't know if there is a way to fix that or not. I know pizza boy emulator has the ability to use save data from any location and also can export save data. Hoping that comes to MyBoy

I absolutely love this app. It has no lag 99% of the time (although yoshi's island does almost overheat my phone, but I think thats just me) and I am happy there are onscreen buttons for savestating, loadstating, turbo buttons, etc. Overall AMAZING app. Money well spent. But, I think if you added compatibilty with old GB games and increased the price by $1 then you would reel in more buyers. (Also, Im not having problems with cheats deleting things, so idk what that stuff is about :\)

The app is great. It runs everything I throw at it with no issues at all. However I have cloud sync turned off as I have had some corruption with other apps in the past and don't necessarily trust it. Even though sync is turned off multiple times a day I get a request to connect to the Drive of every account on my phone. If I have it turned off why am I still getting requests?

Almost perfect! great, well featured emulator that runs well on low-spec devices. Only two small complaints; there doesn't seem to be a way to *remove* library folders, and there's no option to automatically mute the game while using fast-forward. Still well worth the price, but I would love to see these features implemented in the future.

The free version is nice if you only care about casually pulling up a game to play and not worry about saving, or adding cheats in. If you want to be able to have the full experience with emulation on your phone then get the 5$ one, it's worth it. My only critique is the directional button. The design on the directional button with the touchscreen is a bit frustrating sometimes because it's non-proportional.

Almost perfect! I love this emulator, as it runs better than the rest and has a really easy to use interface. Very easy to remap buttons for physical controllers as well, which is a must for me. Well worth throwing a few bucks at the creator for all their hard work. That being said, my one issue (and it's an incredibly small one) is that the sound when fast forwarding is EXTREMELY high pitched and grating. Havent found a way to fix that. Still, a phenomenal emulator. Highly recommend this one.

It's a great emulator with all the basics, and plenty of useful features. If you play a game that requires you to connect to another system to enjoy the full experience (Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald for example), you can start another file with the same game or a different one, and link it with the one you're already using. It's a brilliant feature! It works wonderfully with my 8bitdo SN30 Pro, with the minor drawback of an annoying bug that makes the D-Pad unresponsive. It's a simple fix, tho.

Been better. Have been using this emulator for years. Possibly since the beginning. Recently the controls have been buggy. And soda can't get into the buttons. Looked for an update, saw the last update was 2017. Can we please get a bug update? First issue with this came around a week ago. Cleaned up my phone to make sure my phone wasn't bugging out, haven't had an issue with anything else. Love the emulator and have for years, getting annoying to use.

Despite others complaining about the gmail access (which is for backing up saves), I don't have any big complaints. My only one is that screenshots (that i'm assuming are from save states) keep reappearing in my gallery. Having to delete them every day, sometimes several times a day, is a bit annoying. Otherwise I have no problems. Have been happily using the app for a year I think.

I love the emulation. Mostly everything works except for the link remote play. I've been wanting to play my friends locally but I've only been able to do it once. At first, I thought it was my devices that was messed up. So, I downloaded the same games on multiple devices to do a test on local battle. And it I did the same thing on those devices. Please fix this ASAP

Emulator needs a bug update. Hasn't been done since May of 2023. I put hours into a game recently, and now when I try to open said game, it says emulator has a bug. Update app after developer fixes issue. Hoping this can be addressed soon. The rest of the games still work but the one that I really got into doesn't all of the sudden. It made me not want to play any of them anymore for fear that I was gonna lose all my progress anyway

A very good GBA emulator. It's very straightforward and compatible with a lot of ROM hacks, which are my most played games. I also really appreciate the Google Drive connectivity, so I can continue playing games from one device to another. One qualm I do have is that updates seem slow, sometimes scarce. But otherwise, it's very good.

All of the emulators I've used on the Play Store have flaws, yet this is the one I always come back to. It has plenty of convenient features, such as fast forward capability, layout customization and a cheat engine, to name a few. What's more is that it doesn't devour battery life! How can this emulator be improved? The audio is staticky when playing a rom, so that should be fixed. Also, maybe adding a mute option when fast forward is on? Other than that, this emulator is the one 👍.

Works well and has decent filters. Works as it should. It's excellent. Many of the complaints seem to complain about root files and everything. If you're familiar with Zip and Winrar just use those apps to move and shuffle things around. As long as you know what you're doing I don't see any issues. I purchased the pro version. It's great. This is an emulator on your phone. Back in the days this was insane & unheard of.
