Musixmatch: lyrics finder

As a premium member, I thought I'd get at least some support. I subscribed because I wanted lyrics to automatically show floating lyrics when I'm entertaining and playing a plex playlist screen shared to TVs. Plex requires you to open lyrics at each song, so I thought Musixmatch would solve my problem. It doesn't. It doesn't advance and gets stuck on a prior song's lyrics unless you manually rewind after it starts. One star cuz the promoted feature I bought it for doesn't work, no support.

The app sucks. Every time I try to contribute, I get told that I have a blocked IP address and despite solving the captcha, the page I was just on doesn't exist apparently. The popup is annoying and upon disabling, I can't even open the app. However, the lyrics and syncing features are pretty simple to use and understand, even if it takes a second to get used to. Also, I downloaded the app in order to sync lyrics for Spotify, which haven't gone into effect yet, despite being flawless (two weeks)

I have spotify premium but it won't let me sync songs and says I'm "not connected to a player". Many lyrics are often wrong for smaller artists, and nothing can be done about it because it's locked by a curator and the company doesn't care even if you attempt to alert them. This is a terrible app, half the functions can't even be used. I only still have it because I would like to see the lyrics in spotify but thats not even possible for me to make happen at this point.

App is not worth it. You can add lyrics to a song and sync them and it takes a lot of time and effort and then in the end only you can view them through the app and it doesn't get added to spotify or verified. I added lyrics and sync them and there are supposed to be curators to verify your work so I waited weeks and yet still nothing on spotify which was why i downloaded it. I dont care about getting paid but it was a lot of work for nothing. Uninstalled the app.

used to work perfectly with no problems until the latest update, the app keeps getting stuck in the notification bar even when no music is playing and it won't let me swipe it away so it gets permanently stuck and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to work. please fix this!! I've been using this app for almost a decade!!

App has been fairly good, but I've been having trouble with notifications ever since OneUI updated on my Samsung phone. Asking around, a lot of folks had similar problems, & it looks like the app needs to update - something to do with permissions. Until then, the notifications options are greyed out. Tried to communicate this through the support form, but it wouldn't work.

I really wanted this app to work, as I really wanted to add lyrics for some songs in YouTube Music that don't currently have them, but every time I try to use it, it tells me to verify I'm not a bot, but despite selecting the correct parts of the captcha image it then proceeds to tell me: "It seems that you are lost" and I don't seem to be able to continue from there. I'm very disappointed.

I love the app and I am a premium member! For the past few months I noticed I wasn't able to see musixmatch in my notification bar when listening to music for easy access to the lyrics. Didn't pay attention to it since I thought it was gonna be fixed. Today I did some research and I come to find out this is something related to the developer not integrating notifications compatability! Please fix ASAP as I'm losing my paid premium months without this app functionality.

Very frustrated. I use Musicolet as my player app. When I first installed Musicmatch it automatically appeared in my player, ready to use. Since then, it no longer opens when I'm using the player. Worse, I can't figure out how to open Musicmatch to use it. I signed up for the free 7 day premium trial today. But I'm beginning to regret it and probably won't continue after the trial period ends.

It works great... sometimes. When I first got it, I thought it would be a great way to help out the community by providing lyrics and syncing. The good: You can get a list of songs that need syncing (sometimes verify the lyrics too), and the syncing is very intuitive and clean (as well as tagging). The bad: It struggles to connect to my spotify account most of the time, which has been happening more frequently lately, and lyric editing occasionally lags like crazy. Syncing can also be weird 😔

I am dropping my rating because I don't care for the app anymore. When playing my music, it skips songs. Then when I try to edit lyrics, it won't let me. It just keeps loading. Then, sometimes the wrong name of the song pops up on the screen but it's the right lyrics. I just really don't care for the app as much as I used to. Too many updates messed up a good app. I just dropped the rating again for the dame unresolved issues.

Laggy UI, Doesn't stay in the background (only seems to happen with this app in particular) even if you're quickly tabbing out, so it deleted all the lyrics I put effort into while I tabbed out, A good majority of songs I tried to add lyrics to had "Unfortunately we're not authorized to show these lyrics..." Which should not be a thing whatsoever, lyrics are not illegal and people shouldn't be able to restrict you from making them. Overall do not recommend, very mediocre experience.

Great app, use it when listening to music on YT Music. I choose the notification option over floating lyrics because i dont like clutter on my screen like the floating dot but in my notifications area. I have spotify and it is built into that app and works fine. -1 star because when using actual app (not floating lyrics) I cant rotate lyrics without it getting error or blank lyrics page. Bug going on almost a decade even using different phones, different OS's, stock and rooted/custom. :(

App is very confusing to use. As I'm setting it up it's asking to put it's hooks into everything and so I do but then it doesn't proceed. Finally I tried to back out of the app and then it finally gave me the option to skip. It's very unintuitive. And after all that it couldn't identify the song I wanted to try it on so I guess I'll be uninstalling it now.

I was worried the integration with Spotify would reduce the efforts of this company and now it feels like there's a lot of complacency. The app doesn't work offline nor do I ever see a pop-up for music lyrics appear as a float. It's no longer serving it's core function (or maybe the core function nowadays is to curate as much lyrics as possible). Crazy how this used to be such a sublime app for checking lyrics.

This app is just plagued with problems all the time. I've had an active premium subscription for almost 2 years and lately every time I open the app I am asked to sign up for premium (under the new increased price 🙄 - $.99/month vs new $16.99/year), and then have to go through the hassle of restoring my subscription every time. I believe this is completely intentional out of greed. Plus, frequently songs that have already been synced by others say that they aren't and therefore can't display

This is the buggiest app I have ever attempted to use, and that is saying something. On top of the already confusing interface, I keep getting error messages when I try to send contributions or even look up songs. Trying to sync lyrics makes the app lag beyond belief. I have done everything I can think to fix these issues on my end, including uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I hope this can be fixed soon, because a lot of the lyrics on my favorite songs are incorret in Spotify!
