I love these types of games. However, the hand holding and extremely long animation sequence on the tutorials that are unskippable... I gave up around level five when I thought there possibly couldn't be any more tutorials, and it yet again interrupted my gameplay to hold my hand through something you shouldn't even need at the beginning of a game. Edit: Ha! Read it was just a demo, and you had to pay to continue anyway. Glad I didnt waste my time.

The game is not bad. Multiplayer has so many layers of payment, three different types of currency (not including upgrade and hero cards). It's confusing and the game is obviously designed to get you to spend real cash. It is pretty annoying and kind of made me not want to pay for the single player campaign levels because everything else is such an obvious money-grab. I know most gamers don't mind it but I really hate the way gaming is being ruined by micro-transactions. Stay away.

Was fun, even though frustrating, but after a while I started making progress and unlocked my first artifact... only it's broken. It pops up in Russian with no image and when I reload I can't even access the inventory anymore. I can't really enjoy a broken game. Decided to uninstall and download... all data lost. So, now I have more free room on my device.

Well made, but they ask you to rate it and THEN tell you "okay, this is where the free stuff ends" I've always been of the mind that a purchased game should not include more micro transactions. I should be able to get absolutely everything after I pay for the full game. No season passes. NO LOOT BOXES. WHY. It's a well made game with good graphics, sound, and play. I misclicked and lost the game a couple times, so I think there are some mechanics to improve but generally I would recommend this.

The game was amazing. I didnt even mind the not being able to play a lot of the campaign. But it started glitching and Im just wasting energy. There will be certain villages that will go between players with nobody moving, and with characters that cant do just do an invisible take over. Im putting the game away until that glitch is fixed. I loved the multiplayer aspect, but the glitch is ruining the game because its not a fair fight anymore.

The game overall is great and fun. However for a couple months now you can't play multi-player without being connected to wifi. I've informed the creator via email. They said they are working on it. Still no change even with the new update... Update as of December 2021, the game still doesn't work properly without wifi, doesn't let you play online like before, without wifi. Also the game seems to be crashing more often than usual. Used to be one of my favorite games.

while the game is very fun, its absolutely absurd to pay 15 bucks for the full game when it's A) not completed and B) riddled with microtransactions. look, there are literally THOUSANDS of strategy games with just as many micro transactions but you get the full game up front. pick one: free to play with microtransactions, or pay to play with none. Someone else pointed out that the first one is also like that; okay, and thats just as goofy.

I loved this game, but hated the whole free to play, pay to advance model. So I found it on Steam for $15. The full PC version is soooo much better! Great mouse and keyboard interface, and better Tutorials. All the great gameplay, none of the micro transaction BS! Why use the stripped down version when you can get the full? You can also get Mushroom Wars 1 on Steam for $10.

It's pay to play and especially pay to win. Although you get access to about 1/3 of the missions on the first hero story after winning some multiplayer games...that's where it stops unless you pay. Even though multiplayer is completely open and you can win without paying for things, it is certainly easier if you do lay down money. They even have an ad that makes that message very clear, it goes along the lines of "want to dominate matches? Spend money for better stuff." Match making needs work.

I enjoyed mushroom wars on my PlayStation, so when I saw this I was stoked. a while back I downloaded it, but it wasnt functional. I uninstalled and forgot about it. I got an ad again months later to redownload it and decided to give it another try. This time I was not disappointed. It's everything I loved about mushroom wars and better. Nice strategy game guys, keep it up. Just wish I didnt have to pay once I got to the first boss level with the frog. Worth the money I suppose!

great game if you want to spend like 1000$; it allows for high level strategic play with a super easy learning curve. Unfortunately every update the devs make it more freemium, and they're willing to sacrifice game balance to do it. Games are now basically decided by who has spent the most on passive upgrades, instead of decided by skill like they once were.

About level three. They tell you tap the screen with three fingers to be able to send soldiers from multiple towers. Have they never held a phone before ?! Tapping the screen with THREE fingers is soo damn inconvenient. That feature should always be on or at least have an option to enable it at all times. Three fricken fingers ?? C'mon. Other games of this style have that feature on at all times.. oh and u only get like 5 levels for free, then u have to buy the game. Good try but sucks. :(

The game starts off good. Great tutorial to teach you how to play. After the first 3 training missions the game opens up for the player to start on the campaign. As I played through the missions I found the game challenging but fair. The graphics are amazing. Unfortunately, after the first 4-5 missions are done you hit a pay wall. If you want to keep playing the campaign you need to cough up some money. It's definitely sad because this game looked amazing and played well.

To put it shortly, the game is half-baked. Lightning fast phone and wireless, yet the controls are rough, the graphics are fuzzy, and the loads take ages. Maybe come back in a year or two and these will be smoothed out? This probably has to do with a different developer than the original, which is fantastic. Edit: came back a few years later, game has improved.

Starts out a lot of fun, but the rating system needs work. After several dozen hours into this game my opponents are consistently either overwhelming more leveled than I am, or so much less leveled that they don't stand a chance. 10 seconds into every game I'm either being obliterated or feel like I'm playing the CPU on easy mode. It's a shame.

Game is pretty good, but as numerous others have mentioned, there is a lot of push to buy packs and heroes in addition to watching ads. Sorry, but there's not a mobile game in existence that's worth $75-$100 to unlock a full premium version, much less a single hero and some resources. The greed of mobile app developers has gotten seriously out of hand. Don't buy ANY of these packs. If it's not a single purchase to unlock EVERYTHING (IE - a premium version), it's just not worth it.

Pay to win. Clearly advertises: want to be unstoppable? Buy this! I don't think there's anything wrong with promoting the platform but the matchmaking is not fun in the least bit when there's no chance to win against someone who drops big money on it. I did buy the campaign though, you get lots of levels and the game is fun, the levels seem to be repetitive but is a good time killer when I'm offline.

Update: the auto reply message is full if it. This game is extremely pay to win. No amount of skill can beat money. I remember why I stopped playing and Uninstaller. Started playing again after a year off. This can be a great game, but it is pay to win. Anyone who has put money in gets better gear and an unfair advantage. It is not a game of skill, it's a game of who has a bigger wallet.

I rated this last month but the ads are really never ending... Game is fun and challenging but everytime you push a button... You're promted with a purchase option. I understand developers put a lot of time and effort into developing and tweaking games to work and the coding too. But if you think I'm paying minimally $25 for a new characters (on sale) from $99 you're crazy. I love the game play... But damn... Update - phone died and now it wants me to re-buy all the levels I already bought.

Matchmaking and trophy system is seriously flawed. The majority of the time, you'll be matched with someone 2, 3 or more levels above you making it nearly impossible to win. It must come down to not many playing the game. You'll be matched with someone way above you and get rematched with them immediately after that game. It's happened to me countless times. It is a fun game and I keep coming back to play but alway quit because of these issues.
