Great offer for existing Mini members. The app is really clean & easy to use. It could do with notifications (or weekly emails) to remind you when the movies are switching over & what the next one is.

If you live close to a participating cinema MUBI Go is the best thing since unsliced sourdough! For £8 a month it is an amazing deal to be able to go to see a weekly film as well as have 30 films online. I'm a long term Mubi subscriber but having lived in the country I'd forgotten what a different experience it is to regularly watch art films in a cinema - so invigorating. Now I live a short walk from the Watershed I'll be going regularly. Why 4 stars not 5? The only fault with the app is that it relies on location and won't give you a list of participating cinemas, so it's harder to get friends to sign up and plan to see a film with them outside my location. If the app can include this I will happily proselytize!

Yet again, the app is showing wrong information. It is not letting me seeing films in my area manchester. I will miss again this Sometimes doesn't update for Manchester so same film shown 2 weeks running. Had to contact mubi. Disappointed they are showing an old film called It's a Wonderful Life twice two weeks running in December in Manchester when it's available free on BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime. In reply to m u b i below I've never been offered a code to later see a movie... disappointed

Customer service is very unresponsive, I have been charged twice, sent an email and never heard back. The app payment functionalities are very badly designed mainly I what relates to how the website and the app are not in tune with each other. Movies used to be good but now are mostly those who have 1 or 2 showings a day in weird hours. Catalogue is taken over by Netflix movies as well...

I've used the app and I enjoyed some great movies in Berlin already. Neverthess, there is a problem regarding the location. I live in Berlin but I'm not using a German phone number (yet), therefore the app works only on Wi-Fi. The location should be taken from the GPS, not from the internet provider.

Already wasn't jazzed about having to download an app & give my precise GPS location for what could just be a dropdown on a webpage. Took a long time to even get into the app after handing over card details because it said my account wasn't activated even though it was. And all that just to discover I don't live anywhere near a participating cinema, because you can't access the list of cinemas until you've signed up to a subscription and downloaded the app and so on.

I like the service and it's great value for money, especially if you already use Mubi. The app is simple and uncluttered. It'd be nice to see what the film of next week is: this info is available on their website but not the app. Also, I REALLY don't like how you can't choose to see a previous film: this I've already seen the selected film (saw it last week) but the cinema is also showing a previous Mubi Go film that I had to skip a week on, as they weren't showing it during the Mubi Go week.

New app design is terrible. No longer able to see what next week's film is, even in London where it will definitely be showing. It is the anticipation to watch a new film that keeps me subscribed to mubi. If I can't get excited about what's playing next I can't rightly expect to keep the subscription.

The app is good. The problem is the film of the week. 3 Hindi films back-to-back? 😭 That's just sad, esp. in Chennai (Tamil Nadu, India). I understand Hindi films are popular in many parts of the country, but please prioritise regional language films in the Southern states. English > Tamil > Other makes sense in Chennai.

This app doesn't function at all! Whenever I try opening the app it keeps trying to load then a couple minutes later I get an error message. I've missed out on a few great films because of the app not starting up no matter how many times I restart it. MUBI, I implore you to fix your buggy app so I can actually use the service I payed for.

The bundle with streaming is a good idea especially if you can buy at the right price. However, being unable to pre book a film at the cinema even on the same day is just ridiculous. I've made my way to a cinema only to be told that the screen is full. Wasted journey and wasted week of a free film. Almost all cinema websites have the ability for codes to be entered at purchase point online so I wish we could do that even if only on the same day Edit: cheers mubi for explaining my exact complain

The film on this app has not updated since 7th September, despite me receiving emails saying it has (and like it is supposed to every week). Have sent a request for support about it but it's been ignored. Lockdown problems aside, cinemas in Scotland are operating normally but this app is not. The cost to subscribe has nearly doubled in two years going from £7.99 a month to £14.99 yet it's become much worse as a service

The app simply does not work the majority of the time I have to open, close, restart constantly just to get it to the image where I can see cinemas near me. Even when it reaches this menu it doesn't always guarantee I can open the QR code I need to access the ticket. Incredibly frustrating to use and makes more spontaneous trips to the cinema impossible as I would probably be stood for 20 minutes just to try and force the App to work.

Since the app was noticeably upgraded and the home screen thumbnail and app design changed from white to yellow I have experienced 2 occasions where I have gone to the cinema only to find that all of the screenings which had been available to me earlier in the day were no longer there. The first time I was given a free month as compensation, however this is not ideal as I was not planning to cancel my subscription anyway, making the free month pointless. I would like my tickets refunded!

MUBI Go is the best value membership in existence, especially if you're based in London, with its wide choice of cinemas. However, since January, several films have only been covered a few weeks after their release date, meaning that it wouldn't be as easy to find cinemas who are still showing them. Also, while the app redesign looks fancy, at the Picturehouse I usually go to, they're now unable to read the QR codes in the app, so they usually have to enter the number instead.

The product concept is great but the execution is poor. It tries to be simple, but to the point of not being very helpful. The use of location over typing in an address makes the service offered completely irrelevant, because users cannot plan what they want to see ahead of time unless they are close to their local cinema. E.g. I'm at work. I don't live near work. I want to see a film near my house this week, but can't find out what's on and where, so it's totally useless! Sort it out!

Seen eight films in the cinema through this app in the first six months. Some I was going to see anyway, some of them I'd never even heard of, but I've enjoyed them all. The app is pretty good, I've only had an issue once, that was when the cinema couldn't scan my the QR code, but they just game me a normal ticket. If like going to the cinema and enjoy films that's aren't just blockbusters I'd give it a go!

I'm sure this is great if you live somewhere like London, but for other places it's not worth the money. Often the movie of the week is not available in the area, so the same movie will be made available to watch for multiple weeks and you often can only watch one or two new movies a month. There are numerous multiplex and independent cinemas in the city that I live in, and in nearby cities, yet few of them are participating, more need to be included to make this worthwhile.

The concept sounded great, but the two weeks since I subscribed, have left me disappointed. The first week, the QR code kept giving them an error code when they scanned it at the theatre, so they couldn't issue a ticket, I had to come back again for another screening time. This week, the movie of the week was a movie with only 2 single screening times, both sold out before the QR code was available for the day of. So the movie of the week was literally unavailable to watch, and I live in LA

I understood when I first subscribed to Mubi Go that there might be times when the movie of the week would not be available in my location. I figured it was still a great deal, even if I could only see a couple movies per month. However, it has now been 4 weeks since the movie of the week has been available in Denver. I'm sad, because when it worked, it was great. The app worked well and I looked forward to seeing what movie Mubi selected for me each week. But no movies at all is unacceptable.
