I don't know what happened recently, but I've been using this app (free version) for a while. Now it won't allow me to get past some screen that you have no choice but to subscribe. This app worked ok'ish in the past, but I'm not going to pay for something that just works ok'ish, and you can damn well be certain that I'm not going to be pressured into buying into it, when it was offered and working as a free app, and now without warning, you want to hold that functionality hostage for a subscri

At first this app worked well. Now spam calls are coming in with several rings before the block goes on. Also, when I hit recent calls it takes a minute to two minutes before loading the list. I just don't have time to sit and wait. Update: I have been using this app for 2 years. At first it was excellent, then the numbers identified were never the actual caller. Since the update it identifies no number, no even your contacts and you now you have to pay for calls to be blocked and identified.

The issue they introduced was trying to charge for something now that they provided free for years. You will always lose doing that and that's what they did. I used love this app, put it on my family's phones and had it for years, no issues. Now they want to charge you for caller ID, features they had free for years. That's how you lose users 101. Should of offered premium as a one time lifetime buy option for people who used it a certain amount of time prior to that update. Not smart business.

Suddenly it's a paid app? I've used this for over a year, and have really appreciated the service. However, for the first time today, it didn't block a call... and I went to the app to see why, only to find that i now have to pay! No warning. UPDATE: I broke down and paid for the app, and an very disappointed. It doesn't block all calls, the ones it blocks ring twice before blocking, and when I am on a call it hangs up the call and allows a spam call to ring through. Uninstalling.

Been using the app and was very happy. However, the recent introduction of a subscription model did not ask to charge for additional features, but simply turned off all the existing useful features and then required payment to re-enable them. It's your app and you can do as you like, however, I'm very unhappy with this turn of events and am uninstalling it. Users should check with their mobile and landline providers. Many are now providing (or preparing to provide) similar blocking as part of the basic service.

This app used to be great but now after a few days of installing pops up an upgrade to premium version screen and there is no option to say no thanks. The upgrade screen wont go away, you cant close it, and you cant use the app any more to see calls or change the config. If you do a trial and cancel the subscription, the nag screen still comes back and wants you to restore your sub. If it wasnt for this, I'd give it 4.5 stars. Need to have a "No Thanks" button and take no for an answer.

This app used to work really well. It still flags calls as spam or fraud but no longer blocks them (sends them directly to voicemail.) What a shame. Update: Now I've renewed my subscription for the caller ID but the app will not return to premium status. It worked briefly over the weekend then disappeared again. Still no answer from support. I guess I'll have to cancel and get a refund.

One star only because I cant give any less. I used to absolutely love this app and introduced many of my friends to it. Now suddenly you have to pay to even access it! Not even a limited version minus some of the premium features..and no warning that it was suddenly going to be totally pay for use. I an so disappointed. Uninstalling immediately. Switching to True Caller...just as good ans still free!!

Don't waste your time with this app. Blocked calls go right to voice mail, then you spend half your time deleting messages. Also, if you accidently block a call, you can't unblock it. I purchased the premium and although it identified callers it was no better than the free version. I uninstalled the paid version trying to correct problems, but after the reinstall, they wanted to charge me again for the premium service I had already paid for. I'm done with Mr Number, math doesn't add up!

*When* this app works, it's great. Problem is, after a while, callers from my Block List will 1) not get blocked at all, and 2) will show on the app as having been blocked. The only way I've found to deal with this glitch when it starts happening is to uninstall and reinstall the app. I've had to do this now two or three times in the last two years. Strange...

I've been using this app across multiple phones for several years now. I've also recommended Mr Number to friends and family, especially those who weren't particularly tech savvy. I trusted the app to help protect our sanity and help us get back some of our precious time in a world where something like a "Do Not Call" list is really more of a joke. As people have already said, I'd much rather have ads and still be able to use the app, than completely lose functionality unless you buy. Very sad.

$2.99 a month?! Seriously!? I've used and loved this app for years, literally. I swore by it, and recommended it to friends. However, my phone's technology played a trick on me recently via a factory reset. I lost all data and apps, including Mr. Number. I reinstalled it and when I was setting it up, they now charge $2.99 monthly subscription fee. Hell to the no. It's just an app, and not necessary. Too many free ones to pay and also have personal information one more cyber place.

Been a long time user of the application, and still a wonderful app, however due to changes this app requires paid services without having given notice to long time subscribers, I've had to unsubscribe. Application Negative Quirks: The boggy app that disables calls with the logo in the box in the center of the touchpad, while 3 outta 7 calls being hung up. While talking on the phone screen becomes disabled to access, but can talk to other person, just have to ask them to hang up the other end.

I'm so upset... I've had this app for several years and LOVED it, recommended it many times. So easy to block calls and works just like its supposed to -I never have to think about it, it just works. But 2 weeks ago I tried to open the app and theres a new home screen that says "Start 7 day free premium" and now I cant get out of it or go to any other screen. Now one of my favorite apps is completely worthless. Sadly, I just deleted it and installed a different one that's OK but not as good.

Decent app with the old free version. It would identify most spam calls as spam, but still let them ring several times before "blocking" them. Has lost some key features over the years like reverse number lookup. The caller ID feature gave an incorrect name most of the time. Now that the upgrade requires you to pay for those same basic and bug filled features without adding anything of extra value, I advise everyone to look elsewhere for a better app from a better company.

I have a Nokia 7.1. Over the past month, I could make WiFi enabled calls, but could not make non-WiFI calls. I would get a steady buzz on my phone instead of the normal Dialing tone. The party on the other end, could hear me speak, but I could not hear anything. I uninstalled the app, rebooted the phone, and reinstalled the Mr Number app. Still had the same problem. It used to work great on the FREE version, but the Paid Version has caused me too many problems. I have removed it from my phone until I hear something or read something about improvements.

I subscribed to the paid version only to find out that it reverts back to the unpaid version every time I close out. I used to love this app. In the past couple of years it has become so slow that it takes forever to bring up the call log so I can access it for managing my calls. Not sure what happened but it would be great if they'd fix that. Also, they now charge but when I tried to subscribe with my valid on record payment method I kept getting a random error. very frustrating! good bye.. :(

Works like a charm - no more repetitious nuisance calls; can block spam with a few short keystrokes. Best I've found so far. UPDATE: The sudden and recent change to a 'pay' app totally 'ticked' me off. Since I'm no longer able to use the 'blocking' feature, I simply deleted this app. I'm not against paying for an upgrade, when it offers enhanced benefits, and have done so several times. But taking a free app and making it pay only? No thanks...

For the most part, it works really well. I hardly have issues with it. About 95% of spam and unwanted calls are blocked or hung up before I get a chance to answer them, and I hardly ever get a voicemail anymore. Any that do come through are either flagged by the app, or manually added afterwards. Figuring out the settings can be hard - a tutorial is obviously needed. Sometimes the caller ID will be incorrect, but you can report it.

I've used this app for many years now. I haven't had any issues. Definitely worth paying for all the benefits this app offers. Obviously before they started charging for all the good features it was amazing to use but they gotta make their income as well, in this economy😅. The subscription price isn't that expensive. For me and how I like to screen calls & look numbers up, the subscription is an easy price to pay.
