I LOVE everything about this! But I think the night display is not customizable enough. I alwas have it on max, but when I turn it off, I don't really see a difference. Other phones go from white to yellow some even to orange, red or blue. This just goes from white to a little bit yellowish. And because it's not really effective I had to install a blue light filter. But sadly it can't apply the filter on the notification bar and lock screen. Please fix this. Then I will give 5 stars.

Stopped working after an android update in December. Flashlight doesn't work anymore. It's not the hardware as another app works fine for the same motion. 3 finger screen capture doesn't work anymore. It works when I have the moto gesture app open and do "try it out", but it doesn't work outside of this. Infuriating when things break for no apparent reason. Can't even uninstall.

On my Moto G Stylus phone 2023 I can use the chop motion for my flashlight and camera. I can put the phone to sleep with 2 taps. But I can't wake the phone with a gesture. I have to use the power button. Any solutions?

Kinetic gestures is completely missing. From what I can read all over Reddit, this is a constant problem with no fix. This just just happened to me within the last week, my gestures were working fine on Monday and it is now friday. I have owned this phone for 2 years. Please fix!

used to love Motorola and actions. biggest reason I've had a couple Motorola phones is because of actions. but not when the system keeps removing them all. I can use none of the actions anymore and will most likely just skip over Motorola product from now on. not gunna take features away to make me buy a new phone

I love the gestures on Motorola devices. They are a big convenience. I took 1 star off because this app ended a phone call I was in when it sent a notification letting me know about the flip to silence gesture. I turned off notifications from this app since I encountered this bug.

None of the gestures do anything that is faster or more convenient than just waking the screen, pulling down the shade and hitting a button. Technically, gestures are faster, but they frequently fail if you don't get an angle just right or at the expected speed, so they always end up being far less efficient.

Moto Actions is a convenient feature for Motorola users. Pros: Quick gestures for ease of use. Useful features like "chop chop" for the flashlight. Hands-free control options. Cons: Some gestures can be unresponsive. Limited customization. Great for convenience, but could offer more customization.

It probably does Exactly what its supposed to do, to that end, great. . . BUT, I Don't want it, nor do I want it on, but it won't Go away, nor will it Stop. Please MAKE IT STOP! IT Continually uses Power, and data, whether I selected it, or not. Its like that "great band" that got put on everyone's iPad music collection that Very Few people actually wanted. I know this won't make a difference, but "No Thanks."

March 30, 2023 As stated when it works it's great when it stops its worthless, toggling on/off doesn't even fix it, I use flashlight and camera, flashlight can't force stop app to reopen, only way to fix is reboot which is ridiculous. EDIT:Found the issue, Google in its greatness to save memory, I'd assume, shuts down the SERVICE that makes the gestures work... Was gone, on reboot it was back...

It is a good thing that this was bundled with my phone for free, because I would never pay for software so unreliable. When it works, it's a wonderful convenience, but for the last month fast flashlight and quick capture randomly decide to stop working, and start working again with just as much randomness. Very convenient when it works, very inconvenient that it stops working so frequently

Moto G Power 2021. Having to drag up and hold the menu bar on the bottom of the screen to open Recent Apps is annoying--it seems more like a bug. The bar also does not act as a button. The bar worked well on the Moto G7 Plus. Can you make it the same? Also, no 'gesture' option to remove the distracting and time-wasting 'edit screenshot' popup.

The only gesture that ever worked for me was the flashlight. I hated the gesture navigation, and I had to search online for how to turn that off, and turn my navigation buttons back on. I only upgraded to 2 stars, because turning the flashlight on and off with a gesture looks cool, and it's really convenient.

Update: Not sure if it really was a sensor being blocked but it does appear to be working again. Physically, I changed nothing. --- Original Issue: It worked fine for a while but recently the Fast Flashlight Motion Gesture stopped working. I've enabled and disabled it several times. I've power cycled the phone. It was my most used feature. Without it, the app is pretty useless. Moto G Power (2021 Edition)

Update stopped all motion activated features from working properly half the time. Updated the app to the most recent version and now flashlight/camera no longer activate when I do the required motions. I used the flashlight feature a lot for work as it was a reliable, ready source of light, and now it's decided it wants to work maybe half the time.

They got rid of night mode turning on at sunset. Automatic mode made night mode come on right before I went to bed which means all evening my eyes are picking up blue light. I loved having night mode come on at sunset it made looking at my phone in the evenings so much easier on my eyes. That was a great feature please bring it back. As of now I have turned off the automatic feature in favor of the manual time setting so night mode kicks in as close to sunset as I can get it because once I go to bed I'm no longer looking at my phone so I need night mode on all evening not just close to my bedtime. Edit, response to Moto action team: Thanks for your response. I will still be leaving my phone in manual mode. I really prefer having night mode on while it is dark. I have never noticed night mode to actually induce sleepiness and prefer a dimmer screen while driving with the GPS as it reduces the glare in my face and windows so I can see outside of my vehicle better. If you really want my suggestion for improving the app it is this: have all 3 options available. We have so many different people with different needs. I am sure automatic mode works great for some people, others will prefer manual and by the comments I've seen, myself and many others prefer sunset mode. So let's have them all available then everyone can be happy.

I find the flashlight feature useful occasionally, but the face down to enter do not disturb is just plain stupid. I've never met anyone whom this little known "feature" hasn't caused them to miss important phone calls, and they have no idea why, and only much later do they find out the cause and disable it (only to have updates reenable it). I know 2 people who were fired for failing to respond to calls from work because of this. Default this to being off, please.

Every update is creating more problems! The automatic adjusting backlight is either overly bright or way too dark now. I've resorted to manually adjusting it so I can actually see my screen. The, shake to turn on flashlight, no longer works either. In fact, I can't even get my flashlight to turn on when I try to manually. It said it was this apps settings but when I checked them they were where I need them to be. I used to love Motorola but I'm about to try a different brand :(

The gestures have been really helpful on past Motorola phones, and some of the newer ones (such as taking screenshots) are neat. However, the Quick Capture function has been erased, and you can no longer shake to open your camera. This was one of the reasons I purchased Moto phones in the past. Don't be fooled by the screenshots in the app store...there is no quick capture function available as of this review. Hopefully they can add it back in.

To put it bluntly your most recent update (11/27/24) SUCKS whenever I have YouTube at the 1/4 split screen it makes it weirdly thin in stead of just have the video be the same size as if you watched it in the app without going full screen! The whole reason I used it was so I could have YouTube playing while I used chrome and now it sucks to use!
