I was REALLY enjoying this game. Good satisfying puzzles (not too easy, not too frustrating either), visually dynamic, soothing music, etc. But then it was over. I finished the WHOLE game in just over an hour. I know there is a second version now, but I don't think its worth the money for such short play time. Amazing game, but it's disappointingly short.

So I've already beat the original game, but today I got the Forgotten Shores dlc pack and it is INCREDIBLE. The level design, mysterious story, beautiful graphics, all of it is just phenomenal. In my opinion the dlc is better than the original story. If you've beat the game and want more to do, the dlc is DEFINITELY worth the 2 dollars.

beautiful, a work of art. love the minimal style and creative level design and excellent ambient soundtrack, and particularly the small touches like how music plays with every manipulation of the environment. cool that there's an option for taking screenshots because every level is so pretty. a bit short but that's not a major complaint considering the overall experience of this game.

This is an unbelievably awesome game, its a Masterpiece! I seriously LOVE it. used my S-pen and it work perfectly! Graphics are amazing, and optical illusions are superb! I played it non-stop to the end of both versions 1 and 2. All I can really say is it ROCKED! speaking of rocked, being im a rocker it would be cool to have a rock version. like Korn, disturbed, Alice in Chains, etc. accoustic obviously. lol! Excellent Creation! Anticipating the next installment!! It was cool for real!

Absolutely fabulous game. Arguably the finest Android game I've played so far. Just gorgeous art and sound design. The puzzles are clever but not extremely challenging; they're just taxing enough to keep you interested without making you tired. Fans of MC Escher and optical illusions will adore this game. The main campaign will take you around an hour to 90 minutes to complete. I can't wait to try the DLC levels and, eventually, the sequel!

Very beautiful and relaxing game the puzzles are interesting gets you to thinking in a different way. Not very challenging and very short, unfortunately. I would see very little point in repeating the game, within a few rounds you would have everything memorized. There are not very many levels. The story is vague and simplistic as well. If I had known it was this short I wouldn't have spent the money on it, if it was a freebie with some ads or only a buck or two maybe, but otherwise no.

This is an exceptionally amazing game! The solutions to the puzzles seem impossible at first, but are so seeming right there as you walk your path and manipulate the path to different view points. How some of them came together had me say "Wow, that's amazing!" on more than one occasion. This game makes your brain have to think outside of the box. One of the greatest games I've ever played. Will absolutely be looking at the developer's other titles. Brilliantly done guys and gals!

Monument Valley is a puzzle game about a person who looks for redemption and restoration. The puzzles work at introducing a concept and building-up a challenge related to the perceptions of shapes. The aesthetics work with the puzzles using beautiful art design and calm atmospheric music. However, the plot isn't as strong because it's too poetic to explain character motivation and it's too dramatic to work with relaxing aesthetics. Taking all this into account, I believe the game deserves a 4/5.

This game was beautiful. The puzzles aren't exceptionally challenging, the longest took maybe 20 minutes, but they're just challenging enough to not get bored. I purchased the DLC in addition and my total game time was maybe 4 hours at most. The mechanics are intuitive and fluid the soundtrack is suited to the game environment, and all told the roughly $6 I spent was way better than going to a movie.

Hands down, my favorite experience in mobile games. The concept of its design is simple, very simple. But the execution is flawless, so much so that it can't help but be compelling; sound design, aesthetics, pacing, it all comes together into something almost no mobile game achieves. Just know, it's about the journey, not the destination.

Truly first rate...the art, the puzzles, the storyline...unmatched in its simple beauty and mental challenge. Makes you think on a whole new and different level in approaching a "problem". It kept me up all night not unlike a great book. I am in awe of this game as a masterpiece and its creators as artisan entertainers. And just by the way, i loved the original MV. This is one time, however, where the sequel outshined the first. Thank you. And bravo.

I really enjoyed Monument Valley, playing through the entire game, it's additional adventure, and it's $2.99 DLC over two evenings while watching TV with the wife. I've always loved Escher-like art, and this was a fun and relaxing puzzle game that gave the opportunity to explore such setpieces. The game is familiar to Fez in its geometric manipulations of an impossible world and changes in perspective, though it is much more approachable in its difficulty. A great puzzle game, worth your time.

i don't even know where to start! the design, both visual and audible, is beautiful! the story is intriguing, the puzzles are brain bending, the colors are beautiful! the forgotten shores puzzles are so cool. totem's arc is amazing! i was so sad when he was lost and when i got the final puzzle, and saw him all together i was so happy! this game is amazing. especially if you like logic puzzles, geometry, and a dash of dystopia.

Good game but not worth $3.99. This was definitely a mind challenging game. It was even a lot of fun. It's a great way to test your spacial reasoning capabilities. That being said, it's only worth getting if you're not paying the original Play Store price. $3.99 is a rip-off for a game that has 10 "chapters". There are a few chapters that are super easy, but most do present a bit of a challdnge.

Best app game I have ever played, bar none. I haven't yet played the sequel, but I have a feeling it's the only thing that could rival the joy of this game. Lovable characters, gorgeous scenery, and tricky puzzles. What more could you want? Playing it is like exploring an MC Escher painting in 3D but with the beauty of the scene amped up to max. Seriously, it's the only app game for which I ordered art prints to decorate my walls. It's THAT good. The only thing I disliked was when it was all over

I agree with others that this is an awesome game... for about an hour. I rarely buy games, with so many good free ones available, but this looked interesting. I really enjoyed the gameplay, visuals, etc., but it's just over so quickly. Would love to see more levels or even just more components to the existing levels. ADDED: There were two expansions added, said they were fantastic. A couple of those levels blew my mind. I will buy any Monument Valley game they release.

Absolutely in LOVE. I'd seen the rave reviews and wanted to try this game out for a while now. Having a free trial subscription to PlayPass is what finally clinched it since I'm generally hesitant to purchase an app unless I know I'll absolutely love it through and through. If you're on the fence, let me do you a favor and tell you not to worry about regretting taking the plunge and purchasing this game. It's 100% worth it. Smooth, beautiful, liminal, clean, engaging, fascinating.

Ah, how have I not written a review for this yet? We must fix that... Monument Valley is, now, a beautiful puzzle game that will delight you. When it was released, however, it was a transformative redefinition of what a mobile experience could be. This game was a massive turning point in the entire platform ecosystem, where ustwo looked at a sea of trash floating in bad UI, & rose the bar about 67 stories above, not just the competition, but the companies defining the platform. A true classic.

I've been on the fence about this game because I'm under the impression that mobile games cannot be any good, but man oh man was I wrong! Minimalist, puzzle and strategy, simple and addicting! What more do you want?! I see people complain about being too short of a game or too expensive, but you have to look past all that. Apps aren't easy to develop, and no one's forcing you to binge play it! 10/10 would buy again!

This is probably one of the highest reviewed mobile game ever and I finally got around to try it out. It is an absolutely beautiful game, the game design is genius. If you like puzzle game, definitely give it a try. I'm taking one star off because the game is relatively quite short given the price. I didn't feel too much of a challenge and the whole game probably took just 1 hr to beat. If you can get it on sale, it will be more worth it. Just my 2 cents.
