I really like the game, but there is a problem with the audio as it sounds like it was being ran at half speed or slower, the game play is normal but the audio is very slow. In writing this review hoping halfbrick answers, my phone is oneplus 7 pro 5g, I've reinstalled the game BTW.

I am very happy that this game came back, as it was one of my favourite games and I would play it for hours. Now I can not afford a good phone so it may not be the app, but instead my phone. If it is my phone I apologise and you can count this review as a five star. But just in case it isn't my phone, the problem is that after the game loads it will work fine for a bit, but then just crash. My phone storage is empty. If you could get back to me and give me some advice that would be great. Thanks

I used to love this game, it was my favorie Halfbrick game and I played it often. Its return made me super excited at first but the graphics update honestly bothers me way too much, it looks like sonic was going as Barry for Halloween. I think that a setting, or even a purchasable skin to change the game back to its old graphics would really make me and at least some other people happier with its return.

I have been playing this game for ages. This new update (23rd July) really screwed me over. I had almost 3-starred every level in the game. Literally all my progress deleted. The UI was gorgeous and fit the game. Now it is an overused one. You have to go to the shop to buy weapons and character skins, all of which cost many thousands of coins. The game had a cool, nostalgic feel that felt like a proper run and gun. It was creative, now it is the same unlikeable, childish style of Halfbrick Dash.

Not gonna lie, I was willing to play the old version of the game, it looks so remarkable along with the music and the ingame transition. I will miss the new version though, hopefully they'll make it as "Monster Dash 2.0" or "New: Monster Dash".

Old version was better. The updated graphics look unoriginal and ruin the style the game once had. Used to be a great time killer, and now they cranked the difficulty up, along with adding annoying voicelines and removing charms, the best part of the game.

The game used to be great, but Halfbrick abandoned it to die. Endless run mode inaccessible unless you already unlocked it, same with content of past updates. If you transfer phones, you lose all of the things you unlocked because this game can't access halfbrick servers anymore. No restore purchases feature, either.

Ok I for one would like to say Love, Love, Love this game. I played it a long time ago, I was a bit shocked and happy to see that after all this time ITS BACK! It reminds me of all the great time I played it back then. I have one problem tho. The speed of the game picks up too quickly. I get that you guys want to make the game a bit more challenging the time period is too short can you guys do something about that?! Would you guys consider maybe adding in some boss fights, could be a great Idea!

The problem is this game was amazing, missions were normal,art style, weapons were cool but the art style changed completely, now u can't play it without WiFi, not to mention u can't buy stuff with coins nor gems if u don't have WiFi, and the ads are catastrophic, my biggest issue is even after all the ads mid game it'll just freeze and u have to restart all yr progress meaning if u had a good medal and if froze u lost gold and have to play the level and go through all the ads all over again

Just reinstalled this game after a long time away from it. I like this game pretty much. It sucks that you have to switch the fire and jump buttons. They're backwards. I don't mind the graphics upgrade. It's probably more difficult than it used to be. But what I don't like is the ads that are nearly impossible get out of and return to the game once they end.

It's back but worst. The new graphics/artstyle is just unappealing for me like I know it's meant to appeal for younger audience but you might change the UI as sound effects as well because it doesn't fit the new graphics anymore. Lots of pay to win mechanics and adpocalypse. I wish there is an option to switch back to 8bit graphics. EDIT: Change my mind: This game is more fun than it use to be. The game became laggy after I updated it.

It's good, but I cannot get past the graphics change. The retro style of visuals was what made Halfbrick games stand out, and this new style feels way too polished and artificial. The retro style gave this game character, and without it, it looks bland and soulless. Still, despite that, good game overall, you can read the other positive reviews for more insight

Alright, not a big fan of the new graphics change, first of all. The original had more character and unique charm to it. The core gameplay though, still as fun as heck. Challenging too, because Barry will switch gears from a running man to like warp-speed in just seconds. Weapons and skins are a bit pricey, even though you could grind money by replaying stages and the arcade. All in all, Monster Dash is still a ton of fun and definitely one of the best mobile games out there. Kudos to Halfbrick!

My childhood🥺 I used to play this game back in the old days of 2015-2017, excellent game, I loved running and killing monsters on my way, and I was always up to the challenge of beating the levels and get 3 medals on each. Definitely a masterpiece made out of creativity, unlike most of what we have now on the playstore, that are basically really dumb and filled with ads. In fact the ads that sponsor most of those apps that are on the playstore nowadays are even worst the the apps themselves..😭

The previous version of the game was so much better. Now the game has lives, which you need to wait for or pay for, it needs an internet connection to even open, the artstyle is a lot more bland. Honestly it's just a complete downgrade. The only reason it has 2 stars is because the gameplay is still the same. Mostly.

Disappointed to say the least. First of all, the graphics and the added voice lines do not add to the experience at all. I loved the old style, had a nice charm to it. Second of all, you always have to be connected to the internet to play which is bogus! I thought this was supposed to be a time killer game which you can play anytime, anywhere! If you could at least have the option to play offline, even if everything other than gameplay will be inaccessible, I'd be down to keeping it on my phone.

This game is a pale shadow of its former self. The new art style looks worse, and the BS meter has been cranked to 11. I used to be able to run thousands of meters fairly easily, but now I struggle to reach 2000, due to monsters falling from the sky, vehicles placed at the edge of a cliff so I lose them immediately, and the double-jump not double-jumping.

Got it back after a while. The art changed to be more pixelized which I like but I prefer the old one. Maybe add a toggle to switch art styles in settings. I don't really like how they added Barry saying stupid stuff after each death. Speaking of death the game has been made a little harder. I hope this gets a classic version just like some of the other games y'all make.
