Usually works good. Is a lot faster then going to the website.. Seems most of the glitches have worked themselves out with the last update. The only issue I have now is that occasionally when I'm trying to send.. I keep getting "unknown error has occured, please try again later. It may have to do with the connection.. I notice it does it more often when I have less than full bars of signal strength.

Glitchy service. At times it takes multiple tries to make a transfer. Sometimes PC browser works fine and android app doesn't, the other time it's just the opposite. And yet, at other times login credentials would not be accepted and password has to be changed... When it works, it's nice. But when it doesn't, it's really frustrating.

Easy to use and love that I can send money from anywhere I am and not run to a store. I wish they can add more banks to the country I am sending (Panamá) it shows only one bank that I never heard of, but I don't know if that is something they can do. Sometimes I have to restart my phone because it won't let me enter the money amount and it shows some error message (but not a deal breaker) when it comes to do it from the comfort of any place. Totally recommend this app 🙂

First, I can't even send your e-card feature after a transaction because the app times out too quick. You need to prolong the time a user use on the app. We are not all fast you know. Second, when I logged back in to the app to see the transaction I just sent, there is no place to inform the recipient that the money was sent. You need to put a share button on the transaction page. Not all people know how to screenshot or check their text. And writing down trans. number not a good option.

I was using Moneygram service since early 2000 without many issues and always had good experience with the service. Sending money consistently I found the first version of the app very user friendly and convenient. I don't know what happened, but this latest update is useless. It does not have functionality of the older versions and does not seem to connect to any of the banks to transfer money from. In fact, the updated website is about as bad. The only browser that allowed me to login was IE, other would not even let me login. It took me 15 minutes the first time to send funds, and online apps were as slow as a snail, and it is not connecting to any of my bank accounts today at all. It is very disappointing and I am now looking for alternative ways to transfer funds.

Closed my account when trying use. I used it once with success. On the second attempt, it stated they needed my ID in which I provided. It then said after review, my account had been closed and and transaction canceled and I would have to go into the store. Whats the purpose of the app if I can't use it! Highly disappointed. There is no customer service either to get more information.

I love MoneyGram because it's quick and easy. Before submitting, you're alerted that if the money is being sent to a telemarketeer that it cannot be sent. What I also like is that you can share the transaction. You don't even have to call the person. I downgraded to 2 stars because every time I try to open the app, it closes down because of a bug. I've had to restart to be able to use it, but I am afraid that the bug is still there. That's scary!

Sub one star. Quite some time later and I reinstalled it. It still doesn't work!!! It's doing the exact same thing as before. This is probably the crappiest app I've seen in a long time. It won't allow me to sign in. It kept showing "An unknown error occurred." I think the unknown error is that I thought it was a useful app. I'll correct that with an uninstall. Then I'll install Remitly as I hear it actually works.

Who's bright ideas was it to update this app, without testing it?! This app was working fine before, and had all my contacts saved, so don't have to put it in everytime. What the hell is this garbage! Someone better fix this, PLEASE! Update: This app still needs more work. I don't like how you're not able to keep contacts. So you don't have to re-input the receiver's information again. Please bring back the "Send Again" button in the transaction history.

Horrible. I only used this app to send money from a debit card for cash pickup to usually repeat contacts. I can find everything but that. I was able to do it by making a new contact, and putting in the information of an already used contact. Then I have to go through the warnings, I have to watch the little waiting icon forever, then I get "unknown error". It finally worked after a several minute headache.

I've been using this app for months, years now with no issues, and out of sudden, it keeps on crushing every time I attempt to open it. It closes immediately after I click on the icon. What's going on? Please fix it. I cleaned cache and data, reinstalled it, but still the same problem. Use it to send money to my Mom overseas. The only way for my motherland. Now that Holidays approaching, she will be in need. So frustrating.

Loving the service. Best rates and convenience when sending money that I've run across. It has glitched two or three times over the past year which prevents me from giving it a five star rating. Never financial related just in the user interface. When I try to send money two or three days later, the glitch is usually resolved by then. Still cheap, user friendly, and straight forward (99% of the time).

For sending money abroad from the US, it's a great tool; although, for sending to my destination, I haven't had to convert dollars to any other currency yet. I do appreciate the attention to detail with regard to security as well. But, the app crashes sometimes, and when I have to switch between apps to copy/paste data, I get kicked out of the transaction and have to restart it several times before it all goes through. Frustrating! My rating would be higher if it wouldn't glitch out like that!

This app is really annoying! - Can't change previously sent amount of money, easily, without having to re-enter previously entered information. - Out of nowhere asks for driver license for no apparent reason. - Can't edit receiver name without having to re-create a new receiver. The app is promising but currently very annoying, and I really hate the moment I have to use it. Suggestion, make editing easy and straightforward without having to re-enter the same info over and over again.

Starting this week, the app crashes on startup! I have been using the MoneyGram app for a couple of years, through many upgrades and changes. Suddenly, starting the last week of September 2023, the app crashes or exits immediately after starting the racecar splash sequence at startup. It is now unusable. I have reinstalled multiple times with no luck.

Many bugs: 1. While chatting with support, the app can send you back to the login screen. 2. Even if finding access is enabled, it will still ask me for my password every single time. 3. I set up a transfer in the app and paid it in store. The recipient then received the payment in store. The app still shows the transfer in the original unpaid state.

Works great but be prepared. I really like the convenience of this app. But be prepared. The 1st transaction goes smooth. Very smooth. The 2nd transaction is when they do their due diligence in verifying your ID. So be prepared to give it up. It takes a few minutes longer while the verify your ID. After that it gets easier. The 3rd transaction they send a verification code to your email that you must confirm. Have realistic expectations about your privacy versus convenience.

The process is swift and the transfer cost is very reasonable. I love how expedient it is to be able to log in and quickly add a new recipient, or just select a recurring one. Most noteworthy is the reasonable transfer fee. Updated: I was unable to log in for several months. Attempts to speak with a CSR was difficult. When I finally go one, I was hung up on while explaining the issue I was having. Then I was directed to do so online, but there was no option that matched the issue.

Sending money via moneygram is fast and easy. The website is very user friendly. My only negative experience was sending money to an international bank account and having the receiver's bank return the funds after about 10 days. The receipt of the funds was delayed, and I had to redo the transaction. It's a year later and I am still enjoying the use of this app. It's simple to use and I love the transaction tracking feature. I can quickly send money to a previous recipient with one click.

This app can be frustrating at times. It is a bit clumsy and unstable. The app will randomly shut down after entering my password. The same thing happened after I changed my password. The support couldn't help resolve the issue. The app suddenly started working after a few days. This happens periodically, so I prefer using the website n/c it is much more stable. The only reason that big didn't give the app 1 star is b/c the app works perfectly when I can successfully login.
