Love this game, just like the one from the old desktop from my childhood. Easy to use, and the preferences/settings easily adjust to what I like. My only issue is some of the ads. There is one for a game called Episode, and the characters are literally in bed, engaging in sexual activity. The next few scenarios that play also engage in explicit behavior. That is NOT appropriate for children, and should not be on a game that kids play. I'll remove the one star rating when it's gone.

Fun game from childhood! I used to play this game as a kid and loved it, but I wasn't great at it until older then it wasn't on the computer anymore. I've enjoyed playing this game again. You can adjust the size of the board to have more or less tiles to choose, but you can't choose Easy, Medium, or Difficult like the original computer game.

I understand that even in the original game, you had to click randomly a few times to clear enough of the grid before the puzzle becomes possible to solve logically. But in this game, you can be down to 1 bomb and will have to guess which square contains it. This happens on 95% of medium games. A well-designed puzzle should eventually be solvable logically without resorting to guessing or getting a "hint" by watching an ad. There are trillions of permutations of this grid. Remove the duds.

All around great reminder of the classic Microsoft Minesweeper many of us grew up playing on our parents' work computers. The ability to choose what sort of ad you want (banner or page) is fantastic. I chose banner and honestly didn't even realize it was there. I love the simplicity and the nostalgia I feel from it. I love the simple logic puzzle that keeps my mind engaged. Fantastic.

This game is just like the version Windows took away! Its very easy to play with intuitive controls. I also appreciate that they give you control over the ads displayed. You may either pay to remove ads, receive full screen ads (the default setting), or select less invasive banner ads. Worth the download!

Update: Uninstalled this game today. Being locked into 30-second ads with autoplay and loud volume make this unusable. This was the best Minesweeper app, but the recent change to have the ad pop up as soon as you lose is awful. I end up automatically clicking the ad because it's so fast, and the autoplaying video with sound is terribly intrusive when I'm trying to sneak a game at work. I don't mind ads, but I can't use this version.

Serves it's purpose as a Minesweeper port, though I wish there were more options, like board logic that won't allow patterns that force you to guess, or a more exact choice of mine count, like 1 in 4-10 tiles is a mine, or a way to turn off asking for hints--I never will use a hunt, so it bugs me to have to click on the reset button, hit "no" on the hint pop-up, then hit restart again. Small things, but still irresome

I've been happily playing this game for years. Recently, the types of ads that are popping up greatly hinder game play. The time it takes to wait to skip 3 screens between each new game is extremely frustrating. We accept some ads but this really makes it no fun to play anymore.

Very nostalgic! I enjoy playing, but I wish there were preset levels. Part of the fun of playing minesweeper as a kid was trying to beat my old records, but since the size of the boards are customizable (you use a slider to select the size of the board/ squares), once you change the board size, you lose those old records.

App offers several alternate games than minesweeper which I actually quite like, but is so riddled with ads that it's hard to play without turning on airplane mode, which is frustrating. And the worst kinds of ads as well, lasting upwards of 30 seconds, having to exit multiple layers of ads and more often than not getting redirected to the app store multiple times. And almost every ad is false advertisement as well, standard for mobile ads but doesn't make it any less awful

If not for the fact this is the best minesweeper app in the play store, I'd delete it. The ads are relentless, and it can take less than 3 seconds to lose a game and be forced into a 30 second ad with audio I can't mute unless the phone volume is off, and can't close out of because the X is so small it always redirects me to a webpage. It's honestly faster to force close the app than to wait for the ad the finish and put up with it.

I have a paid monthly subscription. For the first month the ads went away. Last week the ads came back and I was charged for my monthly subscription that is good until Jan. 25, 2021. When I click on the no ads button it says you are already subscribed. I have removed and reinstalled the app and still get ads. Update: The developer was very responsive and was able to correct my issue.

The actual game is fine, and generally i accept that free games come with ads, but these ads are super obnoxious. No obvious way to close them, each one has a different unobvious way to close it, and the required viewing times are way too long. Also, no obvious way to look at your stats unless you win a game. I'm probably going to uninstall and find a different version.

Was a perfect minesweeper app. Had a couple intrusive ads but was just the core experience. Keyword, was. This ain't that anymore and the ads are very aggressive and the dev has continued to put in extra games, which, while fun, are also filled with unskippable 30 second ads that are just miserable. I don't like this app anymore, and I wouldn't recommend you give it a shot either.

This is a challenging brain game with a bit of chance. I think sometimes the levels above easy have a bit too much chance to the point I can't guess right sometimes end up making a miatake and the game is over. Maybe I just haven't gotten good enough at the game but it seems there's too much chance in the harder levels for my liking. Other than that it's a great game.

I have really enjoyed this game. whenever I need to pass time, this is the number one place I go to. I only rated four stars because of how frustrating it is to get so far into a board, and be met with a fifty fifty chance to end it all up. it's a major pain, and has made some of my best runs end in a heartbeat. That's more of a flaw of the game itself, and less the design and people behind this app. Any minesweeper game is going to have that issue, it's just annoying in my opinion. Love it, tho!

Just like the one that first came out on Windows 286 (still have copy). 2nd review, using old version as newest version has waay too many ads. Could even break speed records if dev would cut down time to press to mark mines, have to keep pressing until it vibrates & mine is marked takes about 3-4 seconds. Just wanted an easy playing game without so much "bells & whistles". Using an older version of game. B^)

Why would you put ads and a premium subscription in this game? No one wants another subscription on top of their necessary ones like their phone plan, ISP, Office 365, Adobe CC, Netflix, Paramount+, Hello Fresh, YouTube Premium, electricity, water, heating and cooling. See? We already have a plenty! We don't need to bring 90+ more subscriptions into the world! If it were either 100% free like Dmitsoft or one-time purchase or remove ads, also one-time purchase, then no problem.

I don't know how accurate this is to the original minesweeper, but it's a great puzzle game. The ads aren't annoying, and you can just ignore the hints where the ads are (which is why they are not annoying). I wish I could change the numbers to look classic, not just the flags. Perty simple game, so the miner flaws remove a full star, but you can't be too picky. This is free.

it would be good without these specific ads. it's near constant ads and as an autistic person with sensory issues some of them are downright painful. they're also usually unskippable, which i don't normally have a problem with if there's a mute button. i would love to play this game, but these ads leave me so in pain that i start sweating and am often on the verge of tears. the rest of it is fine so if you're ok with ads and don't have sensory issues i would definitely recommend.
