I would like to see an alert tone added to tools, just like tile. I know I'm in range of my drill, but I'm not sure which tool box it's in. would love to hit a button on my phone to make my drill ring. Also, more people need to download and run the app. put it on your kids phone, your wife's phone, your mom's phone, ect. need more people using the app to maximize the tracking capabilities. I always make sure the app is running when I go to pawn shops and flea markets.

Love this app, nothing like being able to control, find, lock tools, and so many other options right from the phone. I was greatly appreciative of a company that finally gave me the option to dictate how the tool operates for the conditions I am in, not all situations fit one metric, now I control my tools instead of the other way around.

Great idea bit definitely still in the trial and error stage. I wish this app would stop trying to access my location every hour or so killing my battery. Worst part is if you remove the location permission or prevent it from running in the background the app will fail and will not work until you turn both back on. Love what this app could be but it's just not there yet. Edit: this app has gotten a lot better with the updates. tool tracking and control is excellent and I would now recommend this

The tracking part does not work well at all. Some times it will say it never left the shop and has been with me for a week traveling. Other times I will try to get the tracker to chirp and app says it is to far away but it's literally in my car with me. The inventory part is nice but don't waste your money on the trackers!

Literally impossible to use offline. I spend at least 50% of my working week with either "weak" or no signal. I now CANNOT adjust my tool how I need it, and this has cost me a great deal of time and hastle. In fact, I'm writing this review using my internet connection, and can use other internet-connected apps with no problems, yet my One-Key app says I don't have a connection at all.

If i could give 0 stars i would. Give me the ability to modify the tools speed and various setting via an app app that does only that. I dont want or need the rest of the features the app requires permissions on my device in order to use. App is more like a virus if you ask me, I would chose a non one key version of the tool if at all possible from here on out.

Very UNuser friendly. I added a tick and then it does not have it in inventory. Try to add it again and it says that its already been added, but still does not show up in inventory. I try to add user profile, no where to select that I'm done after filling info. Can't save profile info. Go back and its all gone. Frustratingly stupidly designed app.

Definitely a positive experience. Took some time setting up the tools I currently have and remembering to add the new ones may ne a struggle, but overall really happy with the program. Finding that as we use this program I am more aware of what I have and more importantly when, where, who, and how they are being used. As they are brought back in I can see who treats the tools as tools necessary to do the tasks at hand and those who tend to just toss them around with little regard accountability

Update: I reached out to support and they are incredible! Quick to respond and gave me some suggestions via timely back and forth correspondence. In the end problem solved. Thank you! I think this is an awesome app! However, it has a few glitches that need to be fixed. It won't allow me to enter the serial number of my tool. Also, if I type too fast the cursor moves behind the letters I type in stead of in front of the letters. Otherwise, I would give it a 5 star rating.

Where to start... can't add new tools to inventory, one key or otherwise. Tracking won't update. Can't connect to available inventory, some tools say that they are in a different inventory. Won't save any changes or edits to any information. Can't lock tools not in use. I would love for this app to work as intended. I have a lot of tools that I would like to keep track of.

Every time I restart my phone... Tracking permission notification is stuck on my screen. Do I have acknowledge it for every single item in my inventory?!? 5/17/2023. Same thing. Every time I restart my phone, "Optimized tool tracking is enabled" notification just stuck on my phone. I can't dismiss it. The only way to make it go away is to open the app. But close the app and it comes right back. I don't understand why it's there and when it finally goes away. There's no rhyme nor reason to it.

I think it's awesome. i has my tools box stolen out of my truck in the lowes parking lot while i was picking up parts. I was only in side for 10min... if i only had some way of tracking them, I might have got then back. Since then I use the tic to track my tool box, it was easy to set up, it's easy to use, and it's real accurate.

I have 4 Ticks. I finally managed to get one paired, then experimented in locating various places around the shop. It would not update due to the range of Bluetooth. I updated the app version and then discovered it only works if other phones have the app loaded (and they must be running) to join the community. There are approximately 500K downloads for the whole world? This makes the community very small, therefore tools have a tiny chance of being discovered and show up in the app. Needs help!

At first things seemed to be tracking well, a little over a year later nothing seems to work. I spent a few hundred dollars buying trackers and tools with built in trackers to keep my tools safe. Half of the trackers I had have replaceable coin cell batteries, other half had the non replaceable longer lasting one. Nothing seems to track anymore.

Cannot get the app to work at all. As soon as I launch it, I get a dialog saying one key has stopped. Uninstalled and re installed, same result. This is on a nexus 6p phone. Hope I didn't waste money on the one key version. Update: I deleted user data and cache from the settings menu of the phone. I was then able to reconnect the app to my one key account, and I can see my inventory on my phone. Update: Doing better now. Still some rough edges, like adding new inventory.

App worked great for a long time, until recently. I can now only access all that is input into the system via my pc, my personnel cannot access at all. We are a large water damage mitigation business as well as a Spill management business, we own, use and relocate tools sometimes on a hourly basis and need the convenience of what the app/program has the potential to offer, but at this time I cannot give the app/program a higher rating. Would be nice to have better support for the app.

Updated review. Love that you can inventory your tools and include serial numbers. Useful even if you don't own alot of one key tools. I use the inventory tab mainly, but it is flawed. There is no way to sort your inventory. Such as last added tools. Ascending, descending, date purchased or even by grouping all of your lights, batteries, saws etc.

Adding inventory is a pain. Each time I try to save a new tool it fails. In actuality, it doesn't fail so now I have a bunch of duplicate inventory from trying over again. Since the save feature doesn't work I have to go through many more pages to back out and check my inventory each time I try to add something making the process much more cumbersome than necessary. Also, there should be no "required" fields, and my inventory shouldn't be sorted by serial number. Now I have 20 "NA" in inventory.

Overall, this app is just like most apps. It loads quickly, everything seems to work, high quality material. I've found one issue though, and it drives me up the wall. When I am inputting text into the box for model # and the serial # for an individual tool, the little marker on your screen where you are typing in text will jump around on the line randomly as I'm typing, making me have to redo the text. I've never seen anything else do this before. It's possible it was Pixel 7 related.

Do not count on ever getting your tool back if it's ever stolen. There's a glitch in their system and if you're tools get removed from your inventory, anyone can put it in their inventory as theirs. They're bluetooth, one key tracking app is no good they have glitches in their system, if you have tools in your inventory and somehow accidentally disappear you'll no longer be able to track them and if they show up to be repaired they will not know if its your tool. Milwaukee did not care to help.
