I have premium, and it tracks trips automatically. The magic trip does a pretty good job, but doesn't always catch quick stops. When transitioning between personal and business I have to be careful to check that I start a new trip, since while you can merge trips, I haven't found a way to split a trip in two. Note that there are features on the website which aren't in the app, and if you are struggling with something, message support, they were very helpful for me.

It says notification are required to be turned on. When I turn it on, I don't get any notifications on my phone. I only get them on my FitBit. It notifies me when I start to drive. It notifies me when I stop. It notifies me when I start to move again. It notifies me of the miles I've driven. Sometime every tenth of a mile. It notifies me when I change speeds. These notifications are absolutely unnecessary and annoying. Please correct or get rid of the warning that notifications are required.

I got this to track my mileage, because I bought new tires and wanted to see how my fuel economy was being affected. I can't tell through the computer or odometer in my vehicle because it doesn't have the option to adjust for tire size, and the numbers were not going to be correct. Not sure what kind of crack this thing is smoking, but it works only when it wants to. So many trips it never even tried to map, even when it was on blue tooth auto start. If it's not accurate, I have zero use for it.

Update 7/14/2022- not sure what is going on with the milage tracker. I do manual entry every day, and lately for some reason the app keeps changing my mileage. 6/13/2024- getting g tired of this auto tracking, can't find the option to only do manual- the app keeps screwing up my milage logs. About to quit using it and cancel subscription. Oh and another thing, sent me the Bluetooth tracker when I never requested it and charged me for it.

Seems to work well. No problems so far (3) months. Really like the simplicity. Not flooded with garbage or ads. Just straight to point mileage tracker, has cpa integration, and reports, itemized trips auto categeritzion by address, and cheap. Excellent replacement for that quickbooks garbage.

This app is the very best out of the many I've tried, without compair. I elected to have Two different Premium Accounts because of my different Business needs, one for my construction Business & A different one for My Real Estate sales and Education businesses, depending on which vehicles I'm in at the time. Very easy to use and the tech support is very responsive, Everytime I've had a question. Also recommend to my Sales Associates.

I've been using it for several years and love it.. when it's working. Recently, it stopped working. I uninstalled and re-installed, but now it won't let me log in from my phone at all. This just started last week. I have a new Galaxy 24 Ultra, and the app worked fine until last week. The app is now useless to me, and tech support was no help. Looking for a good replacement app that tracks mileage and miles per gallon.

Had to stop using it because of a critical flaw. I drive to random places, I stop, do some work and drive somewhere else. I'm a heavy user of my phone and force close all open apps throughout my day as I use different apps depending on the site. If you force close trip log, it completely forgets everything that occurred that day. I can't use automatic mode, because I also use my vehicle for personal use, and I use two different vehicles depending on what's going on.

Finally found a tracker app that can be set to ONLY turn on automatically if one of my GIG apps are actually turned on. I drive a truck for my real job then gig on the side. Now there's no more constantly telling it that my day job doesn't need to be tracked!!! Also the fuel receipt system is amazing! Just take a pic and it reads it and autofills everything for you. Other apps only takes a pic then you have to still fill it out manually. So far, my biggest complaint is it needs a DARK MODE

I use TripLog for my business driving log. Their system is really easy to use with the GPS tracker, but if I forget to start the log, I can easily input the trip manually. They have an odometer setting that I adjust whenever I need to as well. This is very important if you don't claim per mile deductions, but claim overall vehicle use as deductions. At the end of the year I download my excel sheet with everything logged easily.

I tried a few other mileage tracking apps and after the trial periods I chose this one. I Like that you can manually add trips, delete trips that should not have been tracked, ànd the fact that you can share with you account is great. There are plenty more features those are some of my favorites. I say give it a try.

Overall I'm pleased with the app. I've been using it for years now. There are occasional glitches, but nothing too major. The only reason I'm knocking off a couple stars is because my $30/year subscription has suddenly doubled to $60 without any real improvements to the app to seemingly justify such a high increase. For years it was $25. It went up to $30 last year, which is understandable with inflation. To then double the cost to $60 is ridiculous. If I wasn't so busy I'd shop around.

The best mileage tracker app - most detailed and flexible TripLog is automatic! I bought the USB device, but use the auto-detection with my phone to save battery. It lacks nothing in accuracy and completeness. I love that I can download a filtered CSV file to report the essential data to my employer for reimbursement. You can designate places with your names for them, show whether, Personal, Charity, Work, Medical, or Other. It is simple and works great.

TripLog has simplified my mileage tracking! Paired with the Bluetooth adapter means I don't have to enter beginning and ending mileage. I enabled the app function that forced a pop-up at the end of each trip so that I categorize that trip correctly every time. The only wish I have is that I could split the trip if making personal errands while on my way to a business appointment.

The app is good for tracking your mileage. Mileage reports are useful at the end of the year. Their maintenance tracking by vehicle is only available on a computer and cannot be accessed by the app. You cannot look at your vehicle's or fleet's maintenace history by the app. They have changed their pricing by a large amount. Tripple what it used to be. They say they offer more content for that price but its nothing I need. Will likely discontinue using this app after 6 years. Its not ecconimical.

This app is easy to use and operates exactly as promised. We only need to keep track of two vehicles. We did most of our tracking manually, but decided to get the beacon and it made.lefe very easy. We were able to edit trips easily when we forgot to start or stop manually.

TL is the best option I've used and it's certainly gotten better over the years. I tried the different GPS dongle options offered by TL, but none worked well for me (burned out, too long to register). The best and simplest solution is to use the car's Bluetooth as the trigger to start trips. It's almost flawless.

This app is indispensable for gig workers and completely worth the subscription. Edit: The new update removed the driving time from the a very convenient location to only being accessible from a downloaded report. I use this metric daily so this this app no longer improves my efficiency and turned a 10 process into a 30, not keeping it lean. I spoke to support, they called the metric 'clutter'. I call it a reason to take my subscription elsewhere. Thanks for the years, TripLog. You WERE great.

Methinks it may be time to cancel my subscription AGAIN. Why? I like precision. About the only thing that the app does rather well is the fuel purchases. But Manual Trip, I can accept the location needs to be pegged and if doing waypoints, then such should be recorded, BUT shouldn't the time of START and END de automatically filled in when a gig is started and ended?!?!? At least MileIQ records such rather accurately. If they included filling up with fuel, then I would go with them.

New upgrade for 8/24 takes away total time driven. Why????? I'm going to waste so much time and energy adding up my drive time for the day! Not happy. 8/22/24. This company did not call me after I made an appointment and waited. They're responding, saying they "moved" the total time driven. If so, where??? I've looked everywhere. UPDATE: There's a place in Google Maps that shows driving time. I'll be getting rid of triplog and using that.
