It's a calming and stress free game and exactly as it appears in the ads. The puzzles are right up my alley. Big exception being that I wasn't 3 total hours into playing it before I was cornered. To do anything more in the game required $3.99 for points/coins or to download & register for a game I'd hate & complete a fairly long bullet-point list of tasks. I would gladly have paid a purchase price to avoid the suffocating amount of ads and feeling forced into non-game tasks.

Latest update COMPLETELY reset my game progress. Prior to this the game was a bit repetitive, often re-using the same words and even entire puzzles. Main character/story didn't manage to ever get terribly interesting, but not horrible either. Also, the game tended to glitch on ads (of which there were far too many). I would once have ranked it a solid 3, but all this taken together drops it to the unplayable pile.

Could be interesting, but it takes way too long to get to the point and do anything. It would also be better if you only had to click on the icons instad of the click and slide. It feels like a pointless action. Also, not everyone has constant internet connection, so I usually immediately uninstall any game that needs to be contantly connected. This makes the game really annoying if you are in the middle of doing something, and your connection drops out.

High quality but not fun - you're not solving anything, just following prompts to the end. It's a word game with extra steps. It costs so much energy to do ANYTHING. You have to have 1-2 medals to do any single task and it costs 10 energy to do a puzzle to win a single medal. When you earn 1 energy/min, you end up either playing a little at a time, watching a ton of ads, or spending $ to progress the story. And it takes SO LONG to finish a case- I've been playing case 1 for DAYS. I'm over it.

Love that the game is based on one of my favorite BBC TV series. Play is smooth & storyline is pretty good. I can handle watching ads for, or waiting for energy. The reason for 3 stars, is HO scenes. Everything is too small. Need to be able to zoom. I'm a senior, so my eyesight isn't what it was. I have a limited budget. Can't afford wifi. I play on my phone. Think about us baby boomers. If I can't zoom, I'll have to delete.

I, don't remember the word puzzle part when I originally played this but I now remember why I stopped. The game time is a bit quick. It's relaxing, easy puzzles, and doesn't make you feel rushed but the 10 per puzzle is mostly why I'm at a stop. 6 puzzles to be done, but you go to solve and generally get walled by three or two 2 badge actions and you gotta wait.

I really enjoyed the game. I finished the 4 cases fairly quickly. I had no trouble and didn't run out of energy too quickly as some people stated. I still have the ability to work the puzzles, but no case to solve. I am disappointed that the crimes ended after only 4 cases thus the 4 star rating! Will there be more? I moved it up to five stars! Beautiful graphics and I enjoy the stories and word puzzles!

I wanted to love this game as much as I love the show. Didn't happen. Graphics are great. Music is perfect. Thats the two stars. Puzzles are way to easy. 3 words, 10 seconds to finish. Not at all worth 10 energy each time when some things take 2 badges you might get a total of 5 minutes play time before your waiting for the energy to build back up to 60. Absolutely not fun.

Challenging, but with glitches galore. It can be fun, the stories are slow-moving, and often, "meh." As you progress in the game, it will freeze. If you keep tapping, it comes back, and you won't lose a teapot. If you have enough energy, you can close and come back. You won't lose any progress. The competitions are a bit of a joke. There are glitches. I never bother to look at my progress anymore because it may show a point added, but when I check, score didn't change. I still keep coming back.

It's fun, it's a super easy game I think even kids could play there's no real challenge it's more for just to play something to calm down for bedtime. Although for some reason they say some words are wrong and you can't get extra points for getting other words? Like I did the word "cars" and it wouldn't allow it. Kinda confusing that there's random ones they don't let you play. Also you can't play for long, maybe a min tops before you run out of energy.

I really enjoy the game overall. It was worth the $2.99 to get rid of the between-task ads, and I don't mind that the progress is slower compared to other games. My one frustration is with a glitch: if you add energy by "drinking tea" or such, you can't get to the next task or even use the Quit button . You have to do a hard close of the app, bring it up again, and wait for it to completely restart.

I really like the story lines and cases. However, the game stalls and freezes up and you lose progress along with in game helps when it does, especially If you are trying to use one to solve a puzzle when it kicks you out. So there are definitely still bugs that need to be fixed. Also it doesn't always let you share a puzzle to get help in progressing. Otherwise, it's still pretty fun.

It could be a great game but. Several things need to change: First, it's massively time consuming doing all those word puzzles and I realize it's a word puzzle game. Cool it on the puzzles. Second, energy goes way to fast. Third, hunting objects in the object hunting portion is so time consuming and so small until it's hard to see so you just keep tapping until you get lucky. There needs to be a way to say use two fingers to expand the picture. These suggestions would help.

Just started it, but doubt I'll keep it long. When an action is required I have to try about 10 times to get it to take. I've decided to Uninstall game. Everything including conversations take badges with very little results, rather boring and time consuming, especially since simple things like a cup of tea takes your badges. Good luck, Midsummer is one of my favorite programs was hoping for a lot more from the game.

I am liking the game and the hidden items is a fun aspect for me. However, in an effort to get players to spend real coin, there is the use of the piggy bank. For me, this is a drawback. Even if the game is free, it seems a little messed up to have my hard won earnings dipped away and cost added to retrieve. Idon't believe that I need an extra level of challenge or any assistance in saving my coins. So, 1 think it an unnecessary aspect to the game. Just Saying.

Great. Though frustrating at times. The story line is fun, and it flows well. The timed hidden object locate is also fun and a bit challenging at times. The frustrating part is in the word puzzles. There have been several occasions where I have attempted to make a word ( yes it is an actual word, and spelled correctly) I am told it is incorrect. I don't seem to be docked anything for an incorrect answer, but it is frustrating all the same. Godd game overall.

Only on the first case, but I really love the game so far! I usually don't enjoy games where you have to play "mini games" throughout to progress, but this one is fun. I like the variety of word game, finding hidden objects, etc. The graphics are great and the story seems interesting. I did notice some progress was lost when I exited and came back the next day; hopefully that doesn't happen often! Also, really shady that for 5 hints only ONE letter is revealed in the word puzzles!

I would prefer more clues and detective work but the crosswords are interesting, just require lots of patience before getting back to the "real" game. I agree with the reviewer who mentioned the glitch after using energy. The game stops dead and requires shutdown and restart to continue. Very frustrating and time consuming. For some badges too many puzzles require solving--max should be three at most. We want to know whodunit, not fiddle around with word games all day!

My experience was 5 stars! Graphics, interface, usability, ads, best game I've played in 2 years. Fair points awards, not too many notifications, the game wasn't "tricky", didn't up-the-ad-ante or screw my progress at all by requiring more and more. It was an HONEST game, and very well designed. However, there are 12 and exactly 12 cases. I solved case #12 but the game doesn't admit it's over. Took me a while to figure out I wasn't earning "clue points", that there IS no next case.

Installed and deleted real quick. There are so many games out there with the same concept. Please stop with "introductions mode" where you show how to spell a three letter word and how to find objects. It's not necessary and an annoyance. Storyline is slow. I shouldn't have to click 2 to 3 times to skip a word track. This game just seemed to hi Jack game play and take over which dragged the simplest tasks. Not worth the time.
