Overall this is an intuitive and well designed keyboard. It guesses words effectively and is quick to pick up on preferences and word choice. I do, however, have to nitpick a little. First, when I type a word and it came out wrong, for whatever reason, I must hold the delete button to delete the last word instead of just tapping it. Second, I don't see anywhere to program long text strings so I don't have to type the same thing over again, like my address, or a disclaimer for business reasons.

Uninstalled after years of use. Suddenly started changing words on me. I'd swipe "which" and it would show "which" where I was typing and in the top middle auto predict, until I let go, then it'd change to "io" or random letters. Fixes attempted: Cleared the cache. Cleared the memory. Reinstalled. Turned off the option to switch to the top middle auto predict word. etc. It was comically frustrating.

Was great until Microsoft bought it. Unfortunately there is no better alternative. EDIT 10/13/20: The arrow keys are along the bottom, I've always had them in the middle, I've gotten completely used to the spacing and position of arrow keys. I use this for speed, not to have to learn a new layout when you roll out an update. I apologize if this sentiment is incompatible with the beta, but I think it still applies that new features (spacebar scrolling) shouldn't break familiar functionality.

Long time user of Swiftkey. So far Microsoft has done an excellent job of keeping the swiftkey app running well. Let's hope none of our cherished features are removed or compromised. Just a few idiosyncratic quirks from way back still need to be addressed, for example, the placement of quotation marks and the placement of the cursor when a word is tapped on for editing. Otherwise, it is still the best keyboard app for Android. Thanks.

Has been undoubtedly 5 stars until the last few weeks. Recently, there are very specific words, regular things like "email" and "still", that when I try and swipe them in, the word will appear in the suggested bar, but I cannot click it, nor does it actually enter in the desired text field. If I start to type the word manually, I still cannot click it in the suggestion bar, I have to type the word in its entirety.

What happened to the voice input? It's awful! You can't pause for a fraction of a second without it shutting down, there's virtually no controls of any kind - to fix errors, to pause, to change sensitivity, etc. It's been really dumbed down and is useless. Thank goodness the old voice input is still in the non-beta version. I've switched back to it.

Keyboard keeps disappearing. Also, can you move the microphone button to the top row? It's especially difficult to press when in the condensed mode and I actually use it more than the swype feature especially when driving. Also, can we customize that row? I never use the pin, or location, and rarely the gif. It would be nice to be able to select the options we actually use and have more room to get to them without the mistake of pressing what we don't. Thanks!

This app was one of my favorite apps now it is by far the most annoying. It doesn't remember anything I have ever typed before, no predictions, no syncing, it might as well have had amnesia. It's like starting all over but worse. All that data saved for what? Might as well have it downloaded and deleted so I know it's in my hands and safe and not wandering around. Another useless Microsoft app!

I do like this keyboard, it's one of the best. But it used to have the perfect size, now even the biggest size is way too small. The new resizing tool is great if it actually allows you to get the perfect size. But it does not. I've seen a lot of complaints of it being too big or too small and after each update it caters to either or. Why not cater to both. Edit: YES!!!! They actually increased the keyboard height. I could not be happier, thank you for listening!!!!

I've thoroughly enjoyed SwiftKey over the years. The swype typing, endless customization, and additional features have made it my preferred keyboard. Although I don't use each feature I always find a use when I least expect to. Being able to copy to the clipboard and then have it sync with my Windows PC is great. I'm a big fan of cloud clipboard syncing. The GIF, Translator, and emoji support all enhance my typing expirience. Looking forward to seeing more syncing functionality with Windows.

I use various swype keyboards. It always seems that after several months I have to switch. So I'm back here again after GBoard started getting glitchy. Each keyboard has its own peculiarities, too complicated to explain. The very best one ever, one that rarely did weird things, was Swype + Dragon. I don't know why it disappeared, but I miss it with every keystroke. So, this one will have to do till I need to switch to another in a month or two. Oh well.

Highly recommend! I should've rated/reviewed a long time ago. I've been using this app for almost the entire duration of my post smart technology experience and have been thoroughly satisfied. The themes are fun and autocorrect functioning is extremely accurate/adaptable. Plenty of customization options available with fun personal typing and productivity progress/statistics to learn. I prompted myself to rate after coming across the new beta keyboard theme (which is another thing this app never does like so many others; shove those annoying "rate me" push notifications in your face every 30 seconds. Even after you've already done so or chosen decline). The new DIY keyboard theme is awesome! The keyboard is one of the most important features and most used tool... It needs to be efficient and comfortable. SwiftKey stylishly molds to your needs and has fun while doing so. If you're looking for a new keyword interface for your device at least give this one a chance to prove itself. You won't have a reason to look any further.

Predicts and chooses words and phrases I've never typed before/taught the keyboard, nonstop. No way to just type a simple sentence without having to go back and retype Every. Other. Word. Wth went wrong with this app? There's no way to delete the personal dictionary in order to restart it from scratch and get rid of all the extraneous words and phrases so there's at least a chance of an accurate sentence to come out of it. *Sigh* Really annoying.

don't remember using this, but I want better than Grammerly. Even the Google keyboard or Gboard has characters way too close and I would like to be able to move some to other places for easier use. I don't like having to hunt for the temp ° character I want it to be moveable by holding down on it and moving it where I want it.

I've been using this keyboard for YEARS and I can't do without it. BUT, what happened to the simple 'Date insert' feature? I feel like I shouldn't have to type out a date. Also, when switching devices or u using this app on another device, all saved items on the clipboard are gone forever. I thought being signed in and sync enabled saved all ur data to your acct so u can take it with you?

Despite that I haven't been able to to either figure out how, or that I am doing something wrong with the whole keyboard Clipboard syncing part, I have saved massive amounts of corrected spelling to keep me from looking like a complete idiot. Also, a bunch of keystrokes with its predictions.

Been using swift key for around a decade, love it. About a month or two ago there was an update, now my SwiftKey makes tons of off the wall autocorrects and i spend about twice the time going back and correcting them myself than if i didnt have an auto correct or text prediction feature at all. Been meaning to delete SwiftKey, but they've performed so well over the last decade for me that i want to give them a chance to fix this. (Willing to change my review if this gets fixed)

I keep going between this and gboard. The translation aspect that's built in as well as the the simplicity of use is key for me. My only gripe is that I wish the keys were separated by one more pixel or so.. I continuesly seem to hit the period when I press the spacebar. For reference, that is the ONLY reason I would consider switching back to gboard.

I have used this on every device since it came out and love the layout, but the predictive text is So Bad!! It almost seems as if it keeps getting worse. Like it is a foreign written app that just doesn't quite grasp English sentence structure and plurals and so forth. When I use the wife's phone, I'm amazed at how I can write a sentence in just a few clicks, but I prefer Microsoft, so come on guys, please catch up!

I like the setup but the predictions are very inconsistent. Sometimes it's really easy to write without having to spell out each word, and it's decent with typos, but other times it gives me bizarre suggestions that are never something I've written. One of my favorite parts is the numbers being easily accessible at all times right above the letters on the keyboard.
