Yesterday I played the challenges for May 1st and 2nd, and today, the 3rd I go into the game and the first 2 days don't show as being played. I was signed in to xbox. I really like this sudoku app, in fact I paid for the subscription. But it sometimes doesn't save the progress in the daily challenges. It's intermittent. It's driving me crazy. I don't want to repeat challenges twice! Solitaire and mahjong don't have this issue.

Used to play this a bunch on the PC a year ago when I was actually able to, but I had to abandon it after it wouldn't load past the loading screen on startup. Saw that it was on the play store here and decided to try it, same issue after I logged into my account, which means my cloud save is corrupted or something. Not going to play it if I can't continue with the same achievements and stats. Support wasn't very helpful when I tried contacting them, and they ghosted me after the second email.

Terrible app experience. The ads are long & some open Play Store w/o touching them. When you press the X, some start counting down from 5 again. It goes to an ad each time your phone screen turns off, so if you are working on a spot and your screen go goes dark, it will be a while before you can see the puzzle again, interrupting your thought process. Hints don't teach, just fill in random numbers. When you select a number, it doesn't highlight the boxes with that number in the notes. No thanks.

Make the x on ads bigger, it can take 5 to 9 times for me to find the pixel or two that actually register instead of opening the play store for whatever game is in the ad. If I get it on the first try I celebrate more than solving one of the puzzles. I like the daily challenges. It's an ok sudoku app. Another problem is having both selection modes enabled at the same time, this causes all of my errors. You can either select a number and the select a cell or vice versa, make this an option.

I like that there are a lot of options for the puzzles: 5 levels, regular or irregular squares, and a lot of game play settings. I don't like that it takes 10ish seconds to load and it has to reload every time you leave the app or even if you swipe away a text. I also don't like that you have to subscribe to get rid of ads. I don't want all the junk that comes with the subscription.

The achievements and records do not transfer between devices. On the daily challenges, the last move always has a very significant delay. It also takes a long time for every game to load. A certain amount of them could be easily preloaded. Edit: All the same problems, even worse. Now, my progress on the challenges is not saved. MS is too big a company to not fix issues. Edit: After 1 month, no improvement. Very slow starting app and games and it no longer saves my progress. MS abandoned us. Bye.

There are lots of variations and you get Xbox achievements. But there is one very frustrating element. I keep my input method set to"notes," but when you switch from evaluating numbers to evaluating cells, the game automatically switches back to "answers." This means that when I click on the next cell I want to evaluate, it is filled with whatever number I was most recently considering. You can't turn this option off in the challenge section, so the game recording mistakes I didn't make.

This app is one I love and use daily. I used to play Microsoft's sudoku app for PC, and many of the features I enjoyed in that version are present in this app. Overall, the ads are not too bad. There is one ad I'm having an issue with. I don't know if I should say who it's from here. It's a short ad that loops. It has a white background. The "x" shows up after ~5secs, but when I touch the "x", the screen is only white, and I have to close and restart the game to continue playing.

I love the game. But I do have a problem they might want to fix. When placing a note or a value in the right column the state of the game resets if you touch the screen on the far right side. This is extremely annoying as this can easily cause the wrong value to be entered into the position you are in. This really screws up your ability to achieve the perfect score.

The app works fairly good until you log into Xbox live. Then the app hangs on the startup screen. It also locks up on a Windows 10 PC. It worked fine until a few days ago, I had finished all the puzzles up to about the 25th or 26th, then it told me June was last month and erased all my July results. Now it won't even start. Delete the app and reload? It works until you sign in again. As an aside, it's really easy to accidently enter a wrong guess due to the interface.

I'm a bit of a Sudoku fanatic, and I love (almost) everything about this game. As others have stated, the app does not save game or challenge progress. Also, let's say you have 7's highlighted - after you input a 7 somewhere, the 7's are no longer highlighted and you need to click on a 7 again to highlight them. They need to stay highlighted! This may seem minor, but it's a huge annoyance in the middle of gameplay.

Decent game, but lately the ads are getting more and more complicated. Not only do you wait until the the first page is done, you MUST tap an arrow to progress. Then you MUST tap the word done. Each time there is a countdown. Finally, you can X out. But ...do it just right or it's to the play store. It's just annoying. I'm done with it. Uninstalling now.

Game modes are fun. The irregular shaped puzzle is an interesting twist, and the ice breaker is a different kind of challenge. The aggressive ads run this game. They all default to extremely loud, and when the X appears to close the ad, most of the ads try to install something instead of just closing.

Don't pay for a subscription. I like the app, so I bought the year ad free subscription. I got about 10 days ad free, and now they've returned. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, I've tried to restore my purchase, and I've emailed Microsoft support, but I still have ads and am not getting double xp. I like the game, but I don't like that they took my money and did not provide the service I purchased.

Paid for a year of no ads. Suddenly only a couole of months later it doesnt recognize that purchase and Restore Purchases doesnt work. Additionally the sound volume doesnt work. I perfer no sound, but the sliders are all the way down and still full blast music and effects. It is unacceptable. I dont understand why this isnt part of gamepass like Solitaire anyway.

They changed something in their subscription model and now I get ads, even though the app knows I have a subscription. Customer service was 0 help, giving suggestions that were dumb, didn't apply to my device, or were unhelpful. You would think Microsoft would be smart about updating their apps, but they are actually worse than the other developers I have dealt with.

I want to rate it higher, but it needs attention and they don't seem to be fixing things. Biggest issue for me is how the previous challenges are suddenly gone as soon as we cross into a new month. It's very frustrating for keeping a perfect record going. A new issue has started that uninstalling and reinstalling, or wiping data/cache doesn't fix... the date selector at the bottom for challenges always jumps to the end, so it's very annoying to scroll back to any date.

Very straight forward game of sudoku. Offers some basic customizeable options such as adjusting music level, sound effects, etc... if I had to change a couple of things it would def be to REMOVE ADS and to add more soundtracks since there is only one in the game that can be more on the repetetive and annoying side(which is why i turned it off) but overall the app is great.

Favorite sudoku out there, I just wish I could get a lifetime subscription. Until then I'll just put up with the ads. My only complaint is that when I accidentally miss the little ">>" or "x" it takes me to the Play store, and even though I try to get back to the Sudoku app, it resets everything and reloads it like I just opened it. 😞 Otherwise, super fun app with new challenges each day!

Decent, but ad loading can be problematic. The game works well in the US when connected to the internet. The app is completely unplayable while traveling in the EU even while connected to the internet. It appears to have trouble loading ads. If it can't load the ad, it won't allow a game to load to be played. I've tried from multiple locations and have the same result. Ads can't load, so the game can't be played. It's pretty frustrating. I want to trust Microsoft.
