It's mostly a very helpful app and my data seems pretty consistent so I'm guessing accuracy is reasonably good! I did have an issue with getting my device to properly sync at one point and I'm not sure what caused the issue but I found the help topics to be less helpful than maybe they could've been. I did a ton of troubleshooting and eventually resolved my issue. But it was annoying. Overall, I'm pleased.

Overall the app itself is easy to work with. I like how weather can be displayed and that you can change the background. Only drawbacks I've encountered so far are: 1. Needs option to turn off vibrate within the app itself. 2. Needs option to change settings to miles, pounds, and fahrenheit. If these options are added in future updates then I will change number of stars given. Until then google conversion is my friend.

Not horrific, it works, but poorly. No imperial system support, no connected apps except Strava, which is fine for me, but I want to sync with Relive and Google Fit too, and there are just too many other features missing from this compared to Mi Fit. If the app was just a Xiaomi version of Mi Fit and it had the same features, then I would definitely consider switching given the fact that it's pretty easy to do so.

It states the data was synced successfully, but none of the measurements update. At some point through the day, hours after multiple "successful syncs," it finally updates. Also, it will not use imperial measurements though it is set to United States region; seems like an easy fix, but they won't do it. What is the point of having this region as an option if you aren't going to use our standards?

Was happy with app but then found out steps data was not automatically syncing. after some web searching looks like this has been an issue for a while and is still not fixed. Now past data can no longer be synced or is gone. Automatic syncing for any data should be automatic and should not require manually starting app. I'm using the band pro 7.

I am so disappointed in Xiaomi. I have multiple Xiaomi devices and the hardware is first class, but the software just always lacks something needed to really work. My activities stopped syncing correctly to Strava. It syncs some data, some times, but lately its a 1/3 hit and miss. Now the APP has updated, and it crashes whenever you try to do anything in the app. Clearing cached and stored data does not work. My watch is now, useless as there is no other app to use with the Mi Watch.

I am unable to change to US conversions for distance, weights, temperature. There are only 2 apps available and neither support this. I also noticed that when I changed wallpapers it would only let me use it for a few days, a big red alert would display and I would have to go through the settings again to apply it. It also froze when I tried to use one of my own photos as a wallpaper. So for these reasons I'm out.

The app worked fine with my smart band 7 pro for a couple weeks, but then it stopped transferring data from the band to the app. Even when manually syncing, none of the data (steps, heart rate, etc.) transfers over. I tried so many things to try to fix this issue (restarting both devices, clearing the cache from the app, force stopping the app, logging out and logging back in, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, etc.) but nothing works. This app is just broken.

The app is terrible. It never saves goal changes, it often won't sync to the point of having to uninstall and reinstall it. The directions to give the app permission to always run in the background are impossible to follow, the sleep tracker has only worked once, and it takes repeated attempts to get the heart rate monitor to work (although I'm told that could be due to tattoo interference). The hardware is great, but the app ruins it.

Out of nowhere it won't sync anything correctly in the app. The watch (MiWatch) is tracking beautifully but refuses to properly communicate with the app. Won't sync anything except sleep UPDATE: Issue persisted for months, but I think resetting the device, resetting my phone, unpairing and repairing, etc eventually got it to work again. I still have months worth of tracking lost, but it's working fine now.

The app works with my MiBand 7, but it has a lot of issues. There's no way to change from metric to US measurements. The auto-sync with Strava works about 10% of the time with no indication of an error of any sort and no way to make it retry. The widgets look really wonky and things don't quite line up in an easy to read way. There's a very limited number of workout types you can start from the app compared to what the band supports. Edit: increased score - bug fixes are helping!

It is incomprehensible why Xiaomi turns connectivity and cross-app integration into a nightmare. The bands are great, but getting them to work properly with your phone is ALWAYS an issue due to this (and all preceding) horrific app. Everything is just so weird and unintuitive, and it's extremely dissapointing that there is no Google Fit integration in 2023. I am done with buying Xiaomi products, their software is literally a source of intense frustration/rage (same for a vacuum cleaner I have).

This app is good. However, there are some shortcomings. First, the app is not syncing after any workout. That's even when you allow permissions in your phone settings for the app. Secondly, the app is utilizing the Europeon metrics. For instance, it's using kilometers vs miles which is actually used in the USA. This needs to be fixed or many users may find an alternative app for their workouts such as Google Fit. Just my observation.

I have been using Mi bands and versions of the app for several years now. They're a reliable, cost-effective alternative to pricier brands. I just purchased the newest generation (the old one haven't broken, but I've misplaced them). My only gripes are that the current app only has metric options for weight, height, and temperature (it take me longer than I care to admit to convert in my head) and it doesn't have connections with other popular apps (like MyFitnessPal).

Google integration is non-existent. I wish the mi band 8 wasn't exclusively for this app. Zepp life recorded everything perfectly. I've had the watch for a week and nothing has synced to Google fit. I also can't unlock my phone sorry my watch connected like I could with Zepp. I really would like these features to be updated and integrated. This app is not helpful at all, and details are not as great as Zepp.

Nice, but lacks crucial functions like unlocking phone via wearable device. I used to use it all the time in Zepp life back when I had mi band 3, but now after upgrading to band 8 and migrating to this app, it's not an option anymore. There's also this annoying bug when sometimes alarm on band just won't go off, even tho it's definitely set up and enabled (i can see it enabled both in app and on band itself)

The app works OK for most things but has issues. I would like to have more customisation. For example, I would like to clear space in the Sleep tab by getting rid of the sleep animal card. I have no use for this. On the main page the service announcement cannot be dismissed which takes up a lot of space. Another issue is vitality tracking - it has become near impossible to gain points, this morning I did a 45 min HITT run and got 4 vitality points. In PAI that would have earned me at least 30.

No problem with app after a few days, the watch screen and responsiveness are stellar, battery life seems to be inline with 6-7 days with always on screen. Mi band 8 is a fantastic watch/fitness tracker for $40 (got on sale up to $60) No subscription for any data tracking is much appreciated, making some charts (not the best) and saving some numbers shouldnt cost $10 a month. No workouts or anything in this app but I'd suggest using a bigger better platform for workouts than buying watch workout

I've only had it for about half a day but I'm loving everything so far. Some of my complaints I think are due to my not fully understanding how to navigate it yet, and not being able to change between cal and kcal for the unit of measurement (though I also dont know the difference). But everything is colorful and legible and feeds my need to look at many tiny graphs and charts. Love that I can super easily control music with the band, something that has not been easy for me on other watches.

Really well designed fitness tracking app, though it takes a bit to figure out how to use it. Be sure to adjust your distances for treadmill and other activities from day one, or the app will prevent you from entering correct distances. It is continuously being improved. And aid for your data when it's wrong has been given.
