I'm very pleased with the functions on this. The UX is intuitive and I feel like I know how to get to places before I've got there before. The widgets are nice and have the option for hours or days or both. I'm pleased with this app. It does what my other weather apps do but a little bit more and easier. This is now my go-to weather app

I've only had it installed for a short time, but in that time I've found it to be very accurate. Also, as well as being able to get the forecast "at a glance", you can also delve into it more deeply, because it really is covered in depth. Very impressed.

The Metrological Office seems to want to pedal continual lies about the weather being much hotter than it actually is. Once you ignore this deplorable habit, it's a useful tool to tell you if its raining without looking out the window. All that's before we worry if they know which way the wind is likely to blow. There's not much else they try to do.

Love this app. Like all weather prediction apps, the outlook often changes but I like the option to look at the long range forecast, the weekly forecast and the hourly forecast aswell as the weather map. Overall it's a great app

BBC weather app was getting frustrating while trying to do a job outdoors so got this. Love being able to 'play' the forecast for the rain clouds for the day! And appreciate knowing the wind in more detail (gusts). Been much easier to work in the right conditions with this app!

Dismal experience. Widgets look terrible on modern android phone. Don't even show the same data as in the app. If i search for my location in the app, i see rain in the next hour, the widget uses my location and shows only cloud cover. Even if i manually set the location in the widget to the exact same as im using in the app, i see rain in the next hour in the app, and only cloud in the widget! Are you doing any testing on your software?

Easy, clear, and accurate data interpreted such that information is both understandable and usable. The information is fed on a professional level, not to baffle but to inform so as to compliment the reader for taking the time to view the work done by Met Office. It is a very satisfying experience when using the App.

Probably the better of the weather apps. Location is accurate and quick to adjust. Weather forecasting still appears to be a bit of a black art still. Can't help wondering if remote stations with windows would make an improvement some times but on the whole this app seems to get it closer than others

This app was very good at one time now it's zero use!! I've tried uninstalling and reinstall X3 this week alone. I've told everyone I know to install this app instead of the one they were using, I can only say SORRY for that, it was a great accurate app for my region, now the developers don't give two hoots about anywhere north of the border!! 😞 I realise the weather is changeable, but come on Met Office Strathclyde doesn't exist!!

I downloaded for the widget and really like the layer out of the information (I prefer to to other apps) but although I've set the right location GPS permissions for it (allow all the time) the widget constantly displays nothing but an error message of 'location services required'. I don't have this problem with other weather app widgets. If this widget had a simple refresh button on it it probably wouldn't be an issue. Shame as I much prefer the layout of this widget over the other weather apps

Rainfall map is useful. Surface pressure video is nice idea but not practical on mobile screen. A pity both the trial data and the older data cannot both be displayed at the same time so you can make a proper comparison. Including a link so you can switch to the Met Office website to easily view more details, such as surface pressure charts would be a welcome addition.

App itself is not bad, but accuracy is VERY hit and miss. Its become a bit of a standing joke amongst family and friends that when the app says 10% chance of rain it actually means 100% chance of rain because it almost ways does. Also the latest symbology change is weird. A cloud with 30% chance of precipitation and no rain drops coming from the cloud!! Climate change is happening Metoffice, I think you probably need to consider updating your prediction models.

Reasonable weather app. Although to be honest, it doesn't look as good as the BBC one. Update (10/7/24): Sadly, I've had to downgrade my rating as this app no longer works properly. It's now impossible to bring up the detailed weather forecast for your location by clicking on it. Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap - nothing, it no longer responds. So all you can access is the digest on the home page.

Quite good, free, minimal ads, the notifications for pollen & weather warnings are reliable. Unfortunately the forecast itself is often wrong. Could be improved by fixing forecast inaccuracy, adding UV index & air quality information. Daily forecast notification & notification for incoming rain (eg. an hour or so before) could be added. My previous weather app did all that but unfortunately it was open source and the developer stopped updating it so it stopped working.

In general a pretty good weather app. Layers are a nice touch and very interesting. One issue I've noticed is that the temperature for the day often doesn't match the hourly breakdown. For example today is showing a temperature of 24 degrees C for the day but in the hourly breakdown it only ever reaches a max temperature of 21 degrees C (even with the 'Feels like' tab selected) which is a bit confusing.

New trial data is terribly inaccurate. Would flip between old & new, and new was never in the slightest bit accurate. Old was always bettter. Even right up until the day in question forecast was very wrong, not even just a little bit. Reviewed several times but they've chosen to move over permanently to the new data, so after years of use I've no choice but to move to an alternative service, sadly. No redeemed features, hence the 1 star rating, which I believe is fair. South West England.

Great weather app. I tried a few but settled on this one. Can you please clear how you rate the met office weather apps accuracy, because it always keeps appearing no matter what you do, I keep ratting it at all the time, but it's still appears, so can you please get rid of this, it's so annoying within the app. You should only rate it once, and it never appears again other than that. Good job. Keep the good work up, developer. 👏🏼👏🏼

Incredibly inaccurate forecasts! I've had this app for a few years, so I think I have a reasonable idea of how accurate it is. You would have thought, since they put men on the moon in the sixties and we mostly all carry supercomputers (phones) in our pockets, that having a high degree of weather accuracy would be relatively simple to achieve these days. However, Many a time I've looked at the forecast via this app, seen sun/cloud, seen the 10% chance of precipitation, only to get soaking wet!

Used this app for years as the Met Office offered the most accurate data. Unfortunately, the recent 'trial data' update has made temperatures wildly inaccurate, often showing as 5+ degrees too high. This new trial data was optional for a while and although I tried it, I was always switching back to the old data, however this is no longer optional and we're stuck with the new inaccurate data. 2* given as its still useful for weather warnings and other data but temperatures are what I used most.

First, a few negatives (mostly with widget): 1) The widget takes up too much space, massive borders, could be made much smaller so as to fit another entire row of app icons. 2) The widget does not show 7 days, only 5. 3) There is no easy way to know what the temperature is right now. It's not shown in the widget or task bar & no easy way to look without opening the app. Apart from these, the app is great, nice interface, lots of info, fairly accurate, the staff are responsive & helpful. Thanks!
