Profile constantly doesn't load. Error messages and blank pages. Signed out to correct, now I can't sign in. Deleted data, restarted app. Deleted app, redownloaded. Permanently frozen. Can't do anything. Not only are the policies trash and customer service extremely rude/unhelpful, the app itself is broken to the point it can't be used.

I have experienced difficulties selling listings on this app sicce their Fees Structure update. The buyer is given way more fees at Checkout, and I have observed my listings and other comparable listings sit for months. Mercari states that there no fees to sellers with these updates, but I am also charged a $2 deposit fee each time, which is a newly added fee. As a buyer as well, Mercari is no longer the "fast and cheap" way to collect LEGO, for example.

Mercari sucks! Even eBay doesn't have the nurve to charge customers fees for the privilege to spend your money there. They guaranteed Purchases and you can even insure items if you want. Not to mention Amazon and just about every other site were they're giving to you like free delivery. People who are selling items on a site are the only ones paying for any kind of fees or anything like that, and they do everywhere else. Amazon, eBay, newegg and every other site that gives instead of takes!!

EDIT: It's great there's no selling fee now, so you earn a lot more than poshmark. But it does still have flaws. For instance, there's a small window to check on delivered items and there are many sellers creating mass quantities of their own "designs" that are unsupported and poorly made. Also, a few of my own random listings that have already been sold show up in my favorites tab until I click on them, and then they disappear. It's an annoying bug that's only getting worse with every update.

Lets start out by saying, I used mercari all the time both buying and selling and it was great. Now I've had to take a break from buying and selling and haven't used the app since Christmas time. Now I get on and they have added so many fees. I put two 30 dollar games wit 4 dollar shipping for each. Total being 68 dollars. My checkout total was 93 dollars. I understand some fees to help the app, but 25 dollars is just outrageous.

It was a good place to buy from individual people selling new and used items. Then Mercari decided to enforce an extra fee a service fee. I've seen it range from 1 dollar to at least 5 or more. Item 25 dollars with shipping at let's say 5, now 30 dollars, add service fee example 8 dollars. Now 38 dollars plus tax estimate $41.80. No thanks, it's absurd and I refuse to pay it. I'll stick with places that don't enforce a extra fee. So far I don't see it on eBay check out.

Used to be great, but has gotten worse over the years. Lots of fake, mistitled items. Also they never deactivate anything so it's very likely to purchase something and never hear from the seller. Then *you*, the buyer has to remember to "request" a cancelation otherwise it just sits in purgatory. Also I tried to report a fake item recently and customer service was quite unhelpful. For the most part, for me, it's time to move on to other apps.

Buyers have to pay a ton of fees. Sellers don't ship items & Mercari won't do anything about it except to say cancel your purchase. Stick to ebay where at least they hold the sellers responsible. App doesn't let you scroll thru all items after you sort, for example by price. I had to keep adjusting the price to see what items were available. Won't be using this app or business anymore.

The fees are way to expensive! They have become just as bad as eBay now with a processing and service fee all front loaded to the buyer. I've tried to sell products, but every item has had to be sold at a loss. My last sall, which was a lower to mid-range small PC with a value of $750 had to be lowered down to $625 to sell with me offering free shipping. With taxes and fees, the buyer payed $725, but I'm only receiving $575 due to shipping being $50. They basically eat your profit.

I have been a shopper on this site for years but as of late there has been terrible issues. If you go into an item and click on the user picture to see other listings and then push back it takes you all the way back to your feed. It is so fustrating. I uninstalled and did it again and still have the same issues. Sorry but this had made another site my favorite due to this...UPDATE, back to being my favorire site again. Glitches were fixed and running perfect again. Thank you!!

As far as the selection and how the transactions go, this is a pretty good secondhand app. The format for the photos & for scrolling through items is actually superior to Poshmark. But I don't love some of the default search features, it's geared towards advertising the selection but makes shopping for items inefficient, & comes off as chintzy. The general presentation of the app is..threadbare, like an actual thrift store lol. Overall- it's just about equal to Poshmark, almost as good as ebay.

This app used to be amazing for sellers and buyers. With the new update taking away seller fees it doesn't make sense to buy from here at all. A lot of the things have so many useless fees added on that it makes sense to buy elsewhere. I sell and buy from here all the time and a lot of the items I had saved have an extra $15-20 in fees added on. The lack of sales also reflect the impact this has and I don't see myself using this app anymore.

I have purchased many items on mercari, and every time there is a huge rush to inspect the item before the 3 day return window closes. In one case, I bought something that the buyer clearly knew didn't work, and I missed the window not suspecting it was broken. Then I realized afterwards, that if I was going to sell something expensive that was subtly broken, I'd do it on Mercari for obvious reasons. The app and selection is good, but I'd guess more than an average amount of items are broken.

This used to be a great app. Now there are so many fees, you might as well just buy something in a store. The "service fee" and "payment processing fee" make an otherwise great deal into a savings that isn't worth the trouble when amazon will send you the same thing, brand new, tomorrow. Sellers used to pay a fee which cut into their profits, but shifting that to the buyer and surprising them with it at check out means fewer sales. Horrible app for buying and selling now.

I have found many nice things for crazy low prices on this website. I like it 10x better than Poshmark. I recommend Mercari 100% if you're trying to find second-hand items that almost don't seem second-hand at all. However, there are a lot of "hidden fees" at the end of checkout. I did not like the fact that I had to pay $8 shipping plus another $8 in "processing fees" etc. If the deals weren't as good there's no way id put up with those types of fees.

I do not care for the 2 new fees that you don't see until you check out. I took my Mercari app off my phone as you don't get the real cost until you are ready to checkout. It forces the sellers to drop their prices ( don't get excited, the seller still pays the same). This is not the seller's fault. It's a waste of time to look at it because you have to go all the way to checkout. You get excited at the price, thinking you got a deal, until you try to checkout. ☹️

Mercari used to be fun to order from. But now that it doesn't cost anything for people to sell on the app, the people buying is being charged all these extra fees. I just bought an item for 1.97 by the time all the new fees and shipping and taxes were added. I paid over 7.00 that doesn't seem like much until you buy multiple items, at once and every item has its own shipping cost, and then add the new fees with taxes you will be paying out backside. It's not worth it anymore, in my opinion.

There's so many fees associated with being a buyer and seller it's just not worth the hassle. Rather than keep the (annoying yet fair) 10% selling fee, they’ve pushed everything onto buyers. It makes it hard for people to afford anything and pushes them to make offers on everything. Couple that with the $2 fee to transfer funds earned from a sale using direct deposit, and it’s clear it's time to leave the platform. Stick with ebay. It’s not perfect, but it’s not Mercari in its current state.

Great app. I'm made multiple purchases through the app and been happy with all of them. Performance is great. Saved searches are even better. They recently added fees. One fee is a percentage of the item, the shipping, tax, AND the other fee they charge! You charging me money based on money I pay you already. I've already stopped buying as much. I used to buy a couple items a week. Now it's maybe one every two or three weeks.

You're ruining your own platform with greed, no one wants to spend almost double on an item due to multiple fees. I've had multiple people really want an item but low ball me because they couldn't afford all of the extra fees. Something needs to change, cause this is ridiculous. Service fee plus payment processing fee? On top of taxes & shipping, something I even ordered went up over $60!
