I like Menards. But lots of times they make their app worse with a update. I always presume updates should make things better not worse. I like looking at the weekly catalogs but when I click on a item to look at it and go back it starts me over from the beginning of the catalog instead of taking me back to my spot. Kind of takes the fun out of it. Don't know if they read these reviews to fix things. But I suppose eventually they'll figure it out.

Employee review, I use this app everyday and it work pretty good. Just a few things that need to be made better. The barcode scanning feature doesn't work every time, it struggles to focus on the bar codes. The view in store feature is nice but need to add the aisle and section location. The drop pin will get me to the right department, but I still struggle finding the right aisle. Thank you hope you guys will take this into consideration.

When you filter a search, then click on an item for more information and try to go back to your results, it doesn't recognize your filters. It gives you the original search results and you have to start all over again. Apply your filters and hit search again, then find where you were in the list. It does this every single time. Very time consuming and frustrating.

This app fails consistently at one of its main purposes - store inventory lookup. It's ccompletely unreliable and a waste of time... you're better off just calling. The app is generally clunky, and the product custom design mock ups are so cheesy. Most importantly though is accurate inventory with stores! This doesnt have it, so it offers little use value.

I DO NOT like like the newest updates. I always use the Menards app before going to the store to make sure items are in stock. Opened it today and everything has changed. The side menu no longer has listing for departments. I liked it when I could go straight to the department needed and choose what was needed in that area. Now have to search the app home page to find department and not all departments are there. I had to search individual items. Big hassle!

You can get some poorly made stuff if you're not careful. But, they are cheaper than other stores item for item. A gamble on cheaper items can pay off. I bought a snowblower that ended up having a lot of plastic parts, but it has been reliable for 5 seasons now. It cost half as much as major brands. Generally remember though you get what you pay for. I've been disappointed several times when I went with the cheapest option available. At other places that wouldn't have been offered.

App was way better before the July 2020 update. The newest version will only show about 15 of my search results even though it says there are over 100. The slightest sideways motion while scrolling will cause a switch between "my store" and "all results" I could at least deal with it if I could actually see all the search results. There was nothing wrong with the previous version. This version is unusable.

The app required an additional login for purchase which was not possible on my phone. The app told me, "If you experience problems logging in, please allow access to "" through any potential ad/origin blockers you may be using" which I was able to do on my desktop, but not on my phone. Also, the cart on my phone did not transfer to the cart on my desktop leaving me to look up the items all over and adding them to my cart again. Almost on par with Target's & Walmart's app.

After update, cannot create lists anymore. When viewing an item, once you select "add to list", app force close immediately. 3/9/21 UPDATE - Lists have been functional since my original review, however now whenever I open app, I get a pop-up that's says "Communication failed - with options to 'Cancel' or 'Retry' ". I have tried force quitting and reinstalling, but no luck. App is legit unusable at this point.

Search is unusable. When you find what you're looking for, it doesn't show where it is in the store. The very general store map is unhelpful. Prices are inaccurate comparing shopping from app to the actual store location. I add to cart to get a general idea of price, but expect to pay more in store even after the 11% rebate. It's an ok app, but the competition's apps blow this one out of the water.

The store is great but the app is a complete mess. The search is completely random at best because when I search for something I get things that are unrelated to my search query. For example when I searched for a door knob it offered my house siding, really? It is also doesn't offer product reviews which I like to read when buying anything expensive.

Love the app overall and use it a lot to look up items, make shopping lists or place orders for pickup. Lately it will double or triple the items in the cart. So the right items are still there but if I put in any number of items they will all be exactly double or triple the next time I go into it. Frustrating when I have to continuously adjust it for ten minutes before I can place an order.

This is the worst shopping app ever. It's difficult to open, buggy and frustrating. You have to type in user ID and password every time. It doesn't recognize correct log in info at times. AND THEN ONCE YOU'RE LOGGED IN: it serves absolutely no purpose at all (for the shopper). I downloaded it to help track and redeem rebates...but it can't do that. You can order items and have them saved for later pickup, but a phone call works better. This app is a cynical tool designed to harvest info.

**PLEASE!!! Fix the shopping cart. It was adjusting quantities on its own. Now shopping cart items don't save. It's useless as is. Menards is great. App, not so much. Item quantities multiply in the shopping cart. If I add 5 items, for example, and don't clear them within a couple days, soon are 10, then 40, then 400! Search engine is too broad. Entering a specific item description can bring up hundreds of items from different departments that have nothing to do with the description I entered.

Complete junk. Half the time it doesn't work at all. On those occasions when it does successfully boot, the search function is worse than worthless - the level of frustration it engenders is an active deterent to remaining a customer. A user has to search 12 different terms to figure out which one happens to be programmed in, there's no such thing as searching by a commonly used name. Currently, it does nothing. Type a query, hit search, and... nothing. The keyboard goes away. That's it.

Can't set up a store anymore. Bar across the top just keeps going. There is one near me...less than 5 miles away! Also it is frustrating to look at an item, go back, and have to scroll through EVERYTHING again to get back to where you were. I've purchased a few things through the app in the past and have had no problems, but now I can't even access my local store.

I hate the online ad. I TRY to look at the weekly ads, since I don't receive one in the mail anymore, (despite the $1000's I've spend there!), but when I try to go to the next page, it pops up a nearby item. Took me 20 minutes to get to a few pages in. And, when it pops up an item I did NOT click, when I try to go back to the previous page, it keeps returning me to page one!

The Menards app just recently received an update. I prefer the older version. In the older version when I clicked in the menu icon in the upper left, I could click on "Shop by Department". To me, this was a much easier option to look up what I wanted to find rather than using the search bar. I do like how when you find the item you want you can click on "view in store" and it will get you close to what you are looking for. Bring back "shop by department" in the next update please?

App stopped working, and when it was working, it kept giving me error messages and stopped working, despite clearing cache and data. And Menards can be a nightmare to shop unless you know exactly where the items are. The app, when it was working, only showed the general area an item might be. That means it could be in that aisle, or the next one over.

I like Menards. I actually like going to this store! However, their store pickup, and their shipping options could be vastly improved. Store pickup cost me $7 more and I was still required to go throughout the store and pick over half of the items in my order, myself! Shipping something with Menards? Be prepared to pay. I had to add $37.50 to my total, for shipping 2 stair rails that were otherwise unavailable. My experience was not customer-centric at all. Menards, please improve this!
