Logs me out every time and what's worse is the app hangs on the login screen indefinitely and have to kill the app to start the process again. It also resets my settings each and every time too like the theme and download location, but it doesn't matter because wherever the download location I choose, the app will always download to its default. Very frustrating and disappointing, considering it used to work flawlessly a month or so back for years.

Too buggy. The notification stays and doesn't go away. It doesn't even show the real size of the files being uploaded but it approximates it and doesn't get updated in real time, thus doesn't tell when it's finished. Uploading several files makes the app crash and freeze every time. Not all of the files get uploaded, it decides to stop and not upload some of them on its own. In general, it's not optimized and very glitchy.

Perfect for saving videos and audio. Though this is a bit of a "first world problem" request, it would be nice to have a speed option on videos and audio. It gets sometimes irritating that I have to constantly download and then upload them when dealing with speed issues. Other than that, very nice app. I prefer it more than the desktop one for it's simplicity.

Only installed this for the "achievement" for more transfer allowance. On first run unchecked the option so none of my pictures would be uploaded. The second it's on I see pictures being uploaded. I went into settings, turned it off again, moved the pictures into the trash and emptied it. Next time I ran the app IT STARTED AGAIN! Oh and that "achievement" allegedly takes three days to activate. There is NO reason why they can't do it faster except to get more time to steal your data. 0☆!!!!!!

App keeps installing duplicates of the same file, which causes a few issues. 1. It's obviously a waste of space and time, I don't need two, so I have to delete it or manually stop the transfer if I remember to. 2. If a file is downloaded with cellular data, it is pointlessly wasting it. 3. If I don't catch it in time, it will use up the transfer limit even though I didn't want it twice in the first place. Also, the notification gets stuck at the top of my screen. Have to force stop.

Good app for file sharing/storage. The notifications system is kinda broken and it sometimes says that more files were uploaded than there were (6 of 4 uploaded). These notifications can't be cleared unless you run another transfer or you disable and re-enable notifications, even if said transfer was already completed. This is my only gripe with the app though, otherwise it does exactly what it's supposed to.

The app has great potential to be an excellent cloud storage interface, but it is so buggy right now its hardly usable. Biggest thing is that it just crashes a lot. Especially when attaching media in chat, but also if your importing files, or moving them to another folder. Basically anything that uses memory. It will freeze up for awhile during the data transfer... and after that it is likely that it wont come back up. Just a black screen and pressing buttons with no result. So frustrating

Mega is a very good storage app and I've been using it for 2 years now. There are issues here and there, but they were always fixed. I want to be honest and say that "This app from 2 years ago has nothing against today". 2 years ago it was slower/laggy and didn't even have dark mode. In my opinion, MEGA has improved over time and comes with new features. By the way, where is casting? I would lovve to cast mega to my tv screen. But I'm not sure if it's even possible for mega to add that.

I subscribed to the 1 Tb Premium plan for 2 years. Mega.nz will not load in either Chrome or FIrefox. That has persisted for months. The Andoid app is slow when it does work. Disappointing experience overall. My subscription is up in January and already canceled. All I wanted was something that could keep files synced between my desktop & laptop. Nothing too difficcult, i thought. Being able to occasionally share files/directories was a plus. But it can't even do that. My overall recommendation is don't bother, and don't use it for anything important.

Great app. Easy to use with crisp, concise, intuitive interface . The simplicity hides it's capabilities. Tons of free storage with optional upgrade. What's not to like? Where's all the annoying ads in your way?... Yeah, not there... Awesome. One of the few apps out of hundreds I've tried that truly live up to expectations. Will gladly upgrade if required.

Great app... Except one thing, trying to play certain videos (mainly mp4 or videos over 100 mb in size) makes mega crash sometimes. Could you please find a way to fix it? Many thanks... I've also noticed that if you log out everything in you downloaded for offline use gets removed... I don't know if it's supposed to be like that but if you could make it to where it doesn't do that or fix it if it isn't supposed to do that. It would make this app 100x better. ^ ^

Works but not perfect. I have tons of photos and videos backed up for years but have noticed that some have been deleted for no rhyme or reason whatsoever. Pretty upset that they are gone. Edit 9/2021 more files randomly missing. Gotta get off this platform ASAP! Do Not Use. Also appears they are deleting reviews, they were consistently trending downward from a 3.8 for a long time, now a 4.5 all a sudden. No possible way to swing that high so quickly without manipulation

I like my Mega cloud account, and it's great having access to it through a native Android app. I can download files from the cloud to my phone as well as upload them. The one thing that needs work is the camera uploads feature; as soon as I turned this on, the app froze multiple times. I had to uninstall/reinstall the app, and leave camera uploads off.

Worst service I've ever used. There are times where Mega acts funny (especially in the desktop client). I've had trouble uploading files to said platform and I've been rather weary about the reliability of Mega. There isn't even a status page to tell users if the service is running well and if the team is fixing issues (just like how Discord does). If I could give it zero stars, I would.

I swear everytime this app gets an update, it just gets even more worse during its performance. Recently, just now I was downloading some videos from my files it said the downloads were complete only to find out it wasn't and it didn't even tell me it was canceled or couldn't upload videos to my phone. Then what makes it worse sometimes in order download things it's saying transfer files and it takes longer to just download then a couple of seconds? Yeah this app is hitting rock bottom.

Tedious to use, links disappear all the time, and it's not even enough space to use as online storage. Even if you did, you still can't even unzip a file without having to download it first. Oh and even when you *do* download a file, the app hides it from you so you can't access it, and you can't delete it without clearing the apps cache.

Breaks worse with every update. I could save to SD Card until a few days ago when it updated. Now it refuses to do so and downloads to main storage no matter how many times you set it. Also, no, Android itself hasn't been updated. I'm still on a version that can save to SD. The app simply refuses all the sudden.

I Cannot play Gifs larger then 70mb, but overall has amazing playback and file support. It needs the ability to sync folders locally on Android like I can on desktop. So I can have a reliable offline backup on my phone and PC. The built in offline mode sucks, it's does not automatically download files. I would give it 5 stars if these issues are addressed, I do love the product because it's cheap, reliable and the user interface is good. Your 90% there to having the perfect cloud storage app.

Overall it's functional, but the lack of any ability for sorting remote folders is a deal breaker. It's available in the desktop browser, and even in the mobile browser. But if I'm trying to manage a folder and want to sort by size, date, etc I find it pitiful that I have to open it first through the browser, then sort by whatever it is I want, find the filename and then open the app to manage the file. Why is there no way to do something as simple as filtering and sorting of files.

MEGA, as a service, is pretty decent, but this app is one of the worst I've encountered. Updates routinely break core features, so it's clear that no testing is performed. File transfers inexplicably remain at 0% despite a strong wifi connection and everything else working just fine. What a shame. EDIT: With the latest update, the app frequently opens and sits on a blank white screen. Same thing happens when previewing files. Unreal.
