What at first seems to be a genuine game reveals itself as just another ad ridden game that is always pushing in app purchases. If you choose not to pay any money, only expect to be able to upgrade every other day. Some features are almost unviable without paying real money, such as the castle, which costs gems to build a single piece.

Fun little game. Good for jumping on/off during the day. Surprisingly adictive despite its simplicity. Made by a solo developer, so huge props for that. This game won't blow you away, but I enjoyed it. Ifcyou pay for the "no ads", you alao get an "auto battle" feature, which makes the game faster. Useful for the highet levels. Only a few dollars to eliminate the ads and support the developer. I felt that was 100% worth it.

Its a fun game just to kill time but the amount of ads and the way the price scales fast just makes it clear the game is only a cash grab. Trying to get you to buy the microtransactions, its even written into the intro tutorial "I offer 60% discounts in my store." They create the problem then ask you to fork over cash so they can make it better.

👍👍 I have played all of the current content over many days. I very much enjoyed it, and will happily await more content. I did purchase the no-ads upgrade after playing a few days making sure I would enjoy it. It is enjoyable to play either way. I am impressed that this was done by one person. I would prefer that the enemies were more historical people, and no sci-fi type monsters. It is very impressive art though, and the music couldn't be better in my opinion. Keep up the great work sir!! 🙂

Seems like an okay concept for some low effort fun, but it's very clear that it has been designed against the player to be inconvenienced by pop-ups and reminders to pay to skip ads. From the annoying "watch ad to gain more money" if you do the 1 min trip... every time to the stupid pop mid screen to say prices are discounted. I probably would have bought the ad pack as I usually do, but when it's this annoying I rather just uninstall than support this aggressive of a campaign

The first time through was enjoyable, on the first island that is; However, after the recent updates it's become unreasonably unbalanced. Defense upgrades no longer pay for themselves, I suggest a ploy to squeeze people in buying premium. If you invest 10k in defenses, you're likely to see less than that back in the extra couple rounds you can progress. You're essentially forced into passive daily play or to buy premium. Uninstalling :/

Ultimately, it is fun, but I don't think the old medieval man yelling at me to buy a starter pack for a mobile game is very historically accurate. It kind of feels too much like a cash grab. Also, the game is somewhat rough getting started, but given some time, it gets more bearable after a while. My advice? Just don't spend any money, and you will feel much better once you eventually uninstall this game.

not bad, it's got some ads but by far a lot less and you can click out of them so much faster than most other apps of this type. I like it, it's a game that I pick up continuously but also it's got some good bugs I think they might fix later on but help you when you figure them out. Overall I'd say it's worth downloading. But you do finish it pretty quickly if you play it every day

Great war game that has a family simple RTS strategic-like game play, and you'll have tons of fun for hours playing Medieval: Defense and Conquest. The only thing I wish the creator would add: is to add more diverse soldiers and units like: magical units, flying units, giant or monsters for your side to control. Only having 3 different units to choose from does get repetitive. Other than that it's a great game that I'll continue to play till everything is conquered!

Ads every where, not worth paying to not have them given the dishonest methods used for the ads. You load an ad for 30 minutes of auto play. Useful if you're busy, however, you will have an ad show up after a couple minutes that entirely stops the game but keeps the 30 minute timer going. It's a redundant and greedy feature in a game that was reasonably fun. Don't download it. Free is already too much a price for duplicitous and annoying design.

It was a lot of fun at the beginning then all of the upgrades become VERY expensive and beating just a few levels or conquering a new outpost turns into a grind to pump lots and lots of resources into it. The ads became unbearable... i don't know if there was an update or what, but every wave it forces me to watch a video. At this point i check in once or twice a day to collect the offline coins i earn then do a wave or conquer an outpost every other day. Tl;dnr fun drops off fast, grindy

After completing the entire game, I'm kind of bummed out. Basically three big continents. Beat the first one, start over on the second one, beat that and start over on the third. Rinse and repeat. There's literally nothing different between each one and when I say start over, you start from scratch on each continent. So once you beat all three there's literally no reason to keep the game installed unless you want to be on this essentially pointless leader board they have in the game.

The first 50 waves was pretty fun. After that the reward value is absolutely trash. The cost for everything multiples on every purchase. It makes sense for new soldier types and defenses. But when I got to the castle building I nearly Uninstalled the game. I was excited to finally build a castle only to find out I need 4 different building materials scattered thru the map. Not to mention the prices doubles each purchase. Started off strong but long term this game is not very rewarding.

I really enjoy the game. Just bought the no ads as well, but the needs to be more ways to earn jewels. Needs battle music. Watching 10 ads to get one is a bit excessive. I don't have the money to keep buying them. I was able to swings the no ads, but that's it. Anything would be helpful. Update: building your castle should not cost you gems!!! That is ridiculous!!

A very fun and classic medieval experience. With that said there is plenty of room for improvement. One thing I wish DID NOT happen in the game is nearly completely restarting on each island. I think it would be a better idea to keep all the troops and upgrades and everything else that you spent gold and gems on. Then when you go to a new islan you unlock new units and are offered further ways to upgrade farm and build. Especially since there are so many enemy units. I ran out of room Contact me

For the first 100 or so waves, it's a solid game. There are fun things to do and you can build a decent army. Once you're maxed out, the game becomes repetitive. And once you pass wave 200, boom, ads everywhere. I watch an ad for autoplay but then I have to skip an ad after every other level. After watching 18 ads in less than half an hour, I just gave up. Fun concept but too repetitive to drop big bucks to get rid of the ads.

It's fun for a little while but quickly becomes a grind where you log in to collect the offline bonus and log off, every so often you have enough money to upgrade a unit type or beat the next tower on the map. The normal waves quickly become repetitive and almost nothing new happens. This game has a lot of potential, a fun art style and some cool mechanics but other than that it's repetitive and bland.

It is a bit choppy. I lost a battle that I was not done finishing. I recommend changing some things such as the "$" sign when you upgrade stuff. It should be Gold Coins not a "$" sign since you don't use dollars. Also, ads should ONLY appear in some kind of exchange for something special like gems or gold. I do like the art style and the concept of the game, which is very important and good on the developer's part.

I'm quite upset to give this a bad review but hopefully the dev(s) will see and help me change this review. I played this a year and a half ago and spent a lot of money on it because I LOVED it. But I lost EVERYTHING coming back to this. I had maxed everything and had moved to the second island. I don't care about losing progress but I spent money on no ads and can't find a way to restore purchases. Please help me so I can make this 5 stars

I want to like it, but progression is just too slow. I'm at a point where it costs 25000 gold for one upgrade of one unit, and I only make about 5000 a hour. Need to wait 5 hours to upgrade a unit it's bad enough for there are dozens of different areas that need upgraded and they all are in that price range. So every hour I log in, spend one minute collecting my gold and then logging back out. At this point there's no reason to play anymore.
