It's a scam. Unlike a normal app, it will force you to update it in order to use it, a few times per week. If you fail to update, they will freeze the app. I wonder if they are partnering with mobile company to induce the consumption of data. I will give negative 5 stars out of 5 stars if this option is available.

Old "McDelivery" app stoped working, Gine. I'll use the new app. Oh wait. My login and password doesn't work. Fine. I'll make a new account. Oh wait. I can't get past the "agree with terms and conditions." It's impossible for me to create an account! McDonald's you suck!

Used to love to dine in, but since there are alot of unmasked foreigners that frequently use the restaurant, I do not go there as much as I used to. Since there are now different ways to order, I can pick-up, drive-thru or have delivered. Excellent! For those who don't mind going in... food and service is still great!

Generally good but what disappointed me with the renewed app was there seems to be no way of specifying that we want to have a ketchup with the fries. Before there was a comment field before finally submitting the order. Now it's gone.

Mustard sauce packages are no longer available with french fries. I've lived in Japan for 8 years and I've ordered mustard sauce with my french fries paying 30 yen extra per sauce package. I was happy to do so. One restaurant at a shopping center sold me a package recently for 40 yen so I know it's possible. But today I was told this is no longer available. You have lost me as a customer, I will tell everybody about this new policy. I can't understand your thinking. Money is money let us buy it.

UI changed a few months ago. Map is nice but not when I'm in the actual location. English support is horrible. (It's 2023, right?) Sometimes coupon selection is limited; why bother.

Edited - English support has been added but the home screen is still filled with promotional images in Japanese. The coupon page is exclusively in Japanese. Please make the coupon detail text so that we can copy/paste into Google Translate at least.

The way the that app has you complete feedback from your last order (which may have been weeks or months ago) is confusing. Store participation in the mobile order points card is inconsistent and needs an in-app digital replacement.

Today I ordered from the wrong restaurant because the app removed my usual place from the list. There was a reason for this, my usual place was having an outage and went offline. But I ended up ordering wasted food that I couldn't collect. Why do they just delete restaurants instead of giving more information? Also, I don't read Japanese, so I go by the pictures. I wish the stores also had English names.

Used this app in a Japan trip. The English in the app was an amazing aid to order easily in mcd Japan without queueing. I was able to register and add my multicurrency Mastercard without issue, then easily order as the user experience and user flow is similar to mcd SG app that I'm used to. Won't even have realise that the store had ebi/prawn nuggeta without the random browsing of the app.. Thanks!

Serves the basic needs of ordering your food without going to the counter. However, i wish McDonalds can wait longer before updating their app. Almost everytime when I use the app at the restaurant i will have to update it first, but yet i don't feel that there are any significant changes or improvements from the last version of the app. also, i wish there was an option to leave comments or a customizable option, for example to remove pickles from burger, or to request for fresh fried fries.

The order number is not displayed in the English version. When I tapped account and then order hsitory to find my order, only an inquiry number showed up and the store employee didn't recognize it. I had to check my email to find the MXXX number for the pickup. It was a little confusing where you could pick up and whether you still need to line up too. The store staff at APIA were not helpful when it comes to an English app interface. Couldn't use Rakuten points even though I entered the info.

Mediocre App It allows you to see the deals and use them at the counter. It allows you to order online and skip some hassle. It presents the online order entry point and various views is not adequately clear. The way order receipt is handled is distracting (actively needing to dismiss the receipt mostly ) It lists location by last used and not nearest without a clear indication is frustrating. I ordered meal 40k away cause I didn't look closely enough at the location info & no cancel option

The mcdo app will not allow me to create a new account. I'll type my sign up email and password, but the SIGN UP button is still grayed out and will not respond. Also, I figure that I need to read privacy terms first to continue, which I did. But there's no box to click or check to confirm I read the Privacy Terms and Conditions so the SIGN UP button remains grayed out. I cleared memory cache and data. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but still cannot sign up for new account. Please fix.

Updated to 5 stars! Now I can customise my cheeseburger to skip ketchup! Well done. One last wish: a short description of special items. Good. I don't know why people still queue up to order. BTW, best to add a one line description of special items such as "Tsukimi Burger" - no idea what's inside just by looking at the photo. Changed from 5 to 4 stars because: Unable to specify options such as no ketchup no pickles in a cheese burger. I could do that in a large screen display app in Hong Kong.

I really hate the layout of this new version. You can't save your favorite coupons anymore so you have to search for coupons everytime. The new order online feature doesn't allow you to get or use points for your orders. So unless you're really in a hurry you might as well just order at the counter. There is also still no English support.

I think this app is really good, I only wish that when selecting the restaurant it would list them by distance reliably. I accidentally ordered takeout from a very far away McDonald's without realizing it and couldn't find a way to cancel the order so I could properly order from the restaurant I was in without saying I had received the food. The other store's employees must have been confused by their Phantom Customer and the wasted prepared food.

The coupon menu goes to find nearest Mac but all coupons are the same. Don't understand why it does that. Seems like wasted bandwidth and time. Previous version was better, where it would just send you to the coupon page and not your location.

I ordered delivery and was given an estimate of 20 mins. The food is prepared already, but the delivery time shifted to an hour later. So that's extra cost and an extra long wait, only to receive cold food... The scheduling logic sucks! Delivery can't be trusted, but at least it works well enough for pickup orders.
