This review would rate higher, but consistent technical hiccups cap it at a solid 3/5 stars. The app is not optimized, even with the performance mode turned on it still experiences extreme slow downs and crashes regularly. Otherwise the Marvel Collect is a fun novelty. I didn't think I would get so much enjoyment collecting digital cards, but here I am coming back every day to do the daily missions to get the in-game currency to buy more packs of cards and trade with other users.

I think the app features are well conceived, but considering this app's one and only purpose is to facilitate collecting pieces of comic artwork, some of the artwork selected for inclusion is EXTREMELY disappointing. I recently installed Marvel Battle Lines as well, and the character portraits included in that game are simply GORGEOUS. Please hold yourselves to a higher standard.

Getting better. Collecting is fun, but a little over the same cards going from "Common" to "Super-rare" just because of a different color border. An option to win more diamonds would be nice, and the arcade wheel should have better selections, not just the same old choices. Also, the trading needs more filter options. Just my input👍

Fun app if you enjoy Marvel Comics. Trade system and Prize Wheel need an upgrade similar to what I see in Huddle and Bunt. Base set could be so much better in both art and character selection. Chase sets too. There's so much great history and art and so many characters and it feels like the designers are already at a loss for cool things to add so we get the "Pop" set. Meh. Hire me for a month to design sets and choose art!!!

I loved my old Marvel cards, and now I get to gather a whole new collection...digitally! For what it is, it's awesome. The exclusive artwork is fantastic. I am just upset that after using up my initial coin gifts, it is taking forever to get coins again. There are not many ways and the free coin videos and games are disabled. Why? I need more coins! And when a trade is complete there's no notification. You won't know what happened. Please fix these things. Then it can be 5 stars.

UPDATE: Well, that didn't last long... constant freezes and crashes with last update. Back down you go... ORIGINAL Cautiously updated from 2 to 4 stars. Over the last few updates the app has become much more stable and the bugs and glitches seem to be fewer and fewer. Almost like a new team is in control... we'll see if it stays this way.

it's pretty good in the beginning. lot's of new cards you can get for free. satisfying to open packs. the more you play the less new stuff you get without spending money. personally - im uninstalling & never reinstalling. i've wasted too much money on stupid digital trading cards with no real value. it also heats up my phone like crazy even in performance mode & drains the life out of my battery faster than any other app i have. money to spare? willpower to spare? go for it.

Over all a great collectors game, but the currency is a bit out of whack. Also the fusion is completely random and I think it would be better if you could just give away cards that u don't want as well as being able to use money in trades as well. But hey, over all, it's good. Also, 8 think the rarity and chances are really bad in some sets, and with that some sets are just waaay to big to even think about trying to complete.

Absolutely despise the fusing process since the update. In the old process you could see almost everything in one screen. Now you have to scroll relentlessly to see what you can fuse or have fused. When you do fuse, it resets to the top and you have to scroll down again to get to the next item. Way too much screen real estate taken up per item. It's awful and painstaking. Please simplify the process by shrinking the room each item takes it go back to the old fusion process. PLEASE.

Here's an honest review from a long time player. The artwork is fantastic, but there's just one problem.. This app has MAJOR issues! It constantly crashes or lags despite clearing cache & turning on "smoother running" settings. You can't easily force quit out of it. Animations are sluggish. It takes up a LOT of space on a phone (300mb-1GB), and the size balloons if you don't track it. You have to uninstall & reinstall to get the size down each time. The app needs MAJOR fixes to run better.

It's turned to poop. It used to be a fun and streamlined experience, but now... Endless loading, crashes, multiple login attempts, freezing, etc. Just a giant, miserable ball of glitches; the game has, literally, become unplayable. I would check other apps if you're looking for a new one, because all you will find here is mindless frustration.

I love this game and how you can collect cards. I absolutely loathe how often it crashes, and how clunky the controls can be. The card packs from the store take a long time to load, sometimes they never do. The app mainly crashes whenever I try to trade, look at my collection, or open packs. Frankly, it's ridiculous, because this is one of the least demanding "games" I have on my phone, yet it is consistently the one I have the most problems with. My keyboard also has issues with opening / typing

You all really need to fix this app. Every single card i open is solid black with no picture. Even the pack faces are solid black. It's irritating as heck. EDIT: This morning the app is repeatedly kicking me off, i can not even contact support on it. Reply to your reply. It is still not any better. I know the cards are there, it would be nice if I could see them. Plus it is continuously knocking me off the app. I can't do anything with it 😳

I love the art, and the free-to-play approach is viable and satisfying. QUESTION: When do we get all the fun flair on the backs? Character stats like the classic Marvel sets? Origin story? "Did you know" section? Power levels? Portraits? I know the Marvel 101 set is a thing, but it's just not the same as the action shot front/bio back combo from back in the day. :(

Been using the app for about 9 months now and overall it's meh. My biggest problem is the rampant & horrible connectivity/loading issues. Constantly lags and/or freezes, claiming it can't connect despite being on wifi w/full bars (other apps working just fine). Hard to have a good collection w/o spending a lot of money (like, A LOT of money). Most rarities are the same cards just different colored borders/outlines, which I & most players find very disappointing. Die hard fans may enjoy.

Good gaming general very addicting. Got a bit of faults some bugs that they have been working on. They are always looking to improve they're game. The collective concept is great the drive for a reward makes you come back every day. Only complaints I have is its almost impossible to get higher end cards unless you pay for them. But you do get what you pay for. Not a loot box chance. Other than that. Good correcting card game. Best one they put out.

This gsme has become total garbage. When I first picked it up, it was a lot of fun, the art, the different challenges and whatnot. Over the last few months, it has become nearly impossible to call it anything resembling fun. Taking no less than 5 attempts to log in, constantly crashing in the middle of play. Hanging sc o the only option is to shut down the app only to attempt to login 5 more times. General upkeep that should take 15-20 minutes ends up taking an hour at least.
