I can't rate this app high enough!!! I am very impressed by the math, but I'm honestly even more impressed that it can read my handwriting! Even if your math is more advanced this can help you. For example, I like to use it to check my work when I find eigenvalues or solve systems of differencial equations. I freaking love this thing.

Very nice with a single exception: when entering a matrix larger than 3×3 very little of the screen space is utilized resulting in a tiny matrix with miniscule elements that are hard to see and even harder to navigate. This could be alleviated by using more of the available, unused screen space.

This is one of the best Apps I have ever used. It’s nothing less than a Magic. The feature which amazed me the most is, it captures even a handwritten complex integral calculus expression and processes the result almost instantly. For a person like me, who is better versed with printed content, the Maple Companion App helps me to capture the Math that is printed in a book to my phone which I can further push to my laptop and use Maple for further exploration of the Mathematics. When I showed it to my nephew, he said, he could never have imagined that anything like that could exist in reality. This App turned out to be a great time saver for him.

Entering expressions from the calculator-style keyboard is more difficult than it should be. For example, you should be able to lock on the alphabetic keyboard rather than needing to select it for every letter. But I give it 5 stars because being able to use even a limited subset of Maple on my phone is great.

Very clumsy interface, useless keyboard, and requires internet. Edit, reply: I need to do calculus both symbolic and closed and diff eqn solutions offline. Your tool does not do this. The plot is obtrusive, I do not need it in my way. The keyboard has all the keys in elementary locations, not for higher maths, and there is no lock button.

It works great but the fact that I have to pay to see steps is unbelievable I shouldn't have to pay monthly to see steps on how to do a problem, schools nowadays require you to show your work and without seeing how to do the steps makes work alot harder. Get rid of it, I don't care if you put ads just get rid of the subscription there's no point to it every single calculator app I've used required you to pay to see the steps I just want a free calculator app that doesn't require monthly payment.

I love the app because it's extremely handy to get correct results. However, I am not able to see any steps since when I click on the button I get a time out error message saying there is something wrong with my connection, when there isn't anything wrong with it. Any help would be immensely appreciated. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but nothing fixes this issue.

2 things I don't like. I would give this 4.6 starts but I can't. It is very good at taking pictures!! But when I have to type it, I can't put an exponent like 2² or so. Adds are good. Use it on offline do no adds, wonderful app!!! But in the typing I want you to fix the problem I mentioned earlier. I can't find that button with the exponents.and I can't solve the system of equations that is non linear. I mean I can't solve my one.

Great thing about this app is no ads; thank you for providing this app. Step by step solutions is certain problems, but for certain problems, no steps are shown and display an error, over all the best app... UI and math editor is also best, and easy to use.. please add some more inbuilt tools like fourier transforms,... then it will be helpful and 3d graph and hover view is great, graphs are also great.

This app is just awesome, you just type in an equation or just scan the equation directly from your book that you want to solve and it does everything for you from simplifying an equation to plotting graphs. And guess what this app is completely free! And I could see from the reviews below that the developers are listening and replying to what we say. I'm just glad that I randomly came across this app, I find it really useful.

This app is one of the best apps that I have come to know by far. I have only two problems but they might be the major ones too. Firstly, Everytime I try to create my account by entering my email ID, I don't ever receive the activation email. I have tried it several times but it upto no good. Secondly, I am unable to see the steps of most of the questions, it always says 'Connection timed out' even though when my internet connection is working perfectly fine

I have been using a free version on a couple of devices for a while, and this is my favorite calculator app. It is possible to handwrite equations, such as e.g. d^2f(x)/dx^2 = -f, and it provides a general solution out of the box (more complex example d^2f(x)/dx^2 = - sin(f(x)) is returned unevaluated). One possible improvement in UI that I would welcome is the ability to type complex math/commands using screen keyboard. Right know, typing something non-trivial on the screen feels a bit clunky.

I've been looking for the PERFECT Android calculator App for nine years now ... and finally I've found one ... ALMOST. This does everything I need in an elegant and ergonomic package, but it's missing a few features. 1. There's no way to copy results into other Apps. 2. It's not possible to change the axis ranges of 3D graphs. 3. There's no way (I can find) to approximate definite integrals. Once these are fixed, I'll have found the Holy Grail of Android Calculators.

This maple calculator is the best for calculation. It gives you steps to solve a question. It also makes the question easier to understand. I love this app because it can solve all science questions with out stress and answers are always correct.

I love this app. It got me through differential equations and helped me remember how to integrals after 10+ years. I also used it for matrix algebra. The free version is ok for just using it as a calculator but if you are using it to check how to do things and see the steps, the paid version is worth every penny. It is my favorite calculator app and I am working on a masters in math abs I Tutor all levels

Nowhere in the app description does Maplesoft tell you that many of the features they advertise are locked behind a monthly subscription. Maple, the PC program, is amazing (and upfront about it's pricing). This app, however, ain't it. Dishonesty about pricing and feature availability gets 0 stars every time in my book, regardless of whether the features work *after* you pay up. Please do better, folks.

Not bad at handwriting recognition. Issues: 1. Can't edit the math in the phone. Everything I tried needed edit. 2. Can't save or use it except to the Maple Cloud. Customer strategy blah blah & selling data. That's getting old hat now. Some places don't allow. It's a security issue. Must be locally saveble as text/Tex/Mathml/Maple format - something. 3. Unclear if app works like Siri shipping to back end, or local in phone. I hope it's local. Please clarify.

Firstly, this is a wonderful app. Thank you. I'm a college professor who is doing a lot of online instruction. I have two suggestions : 1, on the iPad please give the option of landscape view. This will allow users to use split screen, allowing one to do a PowerPoint presentation while doing calculations at the same time. For me I could use Notability to write out problems while in split screen solve the problems in your app. 2. Please add fundamental physical constants. Thank you.

Based on the new version, it is clear - a much improved pattern recognition system in reading problems with the camera. Compared to the Microsoft Maths solver, the camera opening is wider, thus the failure rate of reading in images is lower. And given that it can solve problems the Microsoft product cannot, it is nearly THE go-to app. However, there is one feature that makes the Microsoft product more usable - the ability to write / draw the problem on the screen. Please add this ability!
