MailChimp support team reached out right away after I commented that the app was crashing, see original post below. They fixed whatever problem I was having, and now the app works great! I've changed my review to reflect the great customer engagement and for fixing the problem. Thanks, MailChimp! Original review: "This app crashed within 15 seconds of use every time that I started to use it. Needless to say I uninstalled it immediately. If you fix the app, I'll reinstall it and use it."

It's okay... I feel like I could totally improve this app. I'm thankful for it, but in my experience it's pretty slow. I'm also living and working in a remote part of Asia where internet is slow. So, maybe they need to include offline features (actions not requiring fast internet). The user interface is clunky. I have a Motorola Android phone (Moto-e). I wish you could re-size images in the app, without going to the desktop. It gets the job done, but not without a lot of headaches.

I would like to give 5 stars, but would love to see two changes... 1. Total unsubscribers says 6, but when I click on it, only 3 are listed. 2. It would be SUPER helpful to be able to click on "unopen" to see who hasn't opened the email. I would like to individually email friends who are consistently not opening MailChimp emails so that I can notify them about the Gmail "Promotions" folder. All of my "MailChimp friends'" emails go to that folder, so I am sure that is what is happening w/ mine.

Mailchimp has come a long way! I have been using them since 2017 back then the platform was very hard to navigate but still got the job done. Since then with all the new features they have implemented plus the nice templates and automations I could not see using any other platform. They are also registered with Google so your email doesn't get lost in spam. I can integrate with my shopify via sync and the audience dashboard and breakdown is also nice.

My small business is still on the free plan and has brought in thousands of dollars with a monthly email newsletter. I use a desktop computer to craft emails with templates, then use the app to send the draft at a specific day & time (usually Thursday midday). It integrates with Shopify so I can easily pull in product photos. My other favorite feature is the link checker to test URLs before sending. Once we get big enough to pay, MailChimp definitely has earned my loyalty!

I recently tried creating a campaign solely in the app, & it was an awful, time-wasting, frustrating experience that I will likely never try again. When putting text into the text blocks, it wouldn't let me access my clipboard. So, for each text block, I had to back out of the app, go into my notepad app, copy a section, then go back into Mailchimp, paste, then do that over & over a few times. Other issues, too, but this only allows 500 characters. ARGH! My phone is a new Samsung a71 w/ 5G.

Horrible app! It doesn't have the ability to insert images, so you're forced to to do from a browser tab. Spent an hour editing in browser, go back to the app and save, but it didn't update with the new info I saved on browser and OVERWROTE all the work I'd just finished! Absolutely useless. Not even a backup feature for previous drafts in such a case!.

I've used this app for a few years now and it's been mildly frustrating, especially when attempting to insert links (it takes several tries and then you need to force quit and reopen to send). But, now I can no longer edit or type into any templates. I can click a field and a box appears but nothing is actually selected or opened. I've tried force quitting and coming back in. My app is up to date.

Everything about MailChimp has been pretty awesome. I'm a self-taught user, not incredibly techie, and it's been a great experience. I accidentally named my audience one thing and haven't learned how to undo it yet, but that's on my end. Their feedback reports are wonderful! So much data to analyze to determine if you're communicating effectively. I love it!

I can access all the goodness of Mail Chimp-Audience, Campaigns, Templates and more- with ease from my phone. Update: Some pretty important features are not yet there such as resizing large images and getting social share links for past campaigns. However, I still thinks the app is worth five stars because everything that is there works great. Even the photo resizing has a clear message that you cant resize photos.

While I'm a big fan of Mailchimp, this app has a way to go to be useful for creating a campaign in the go. I have templates premade so I essentially copy & paste to create & send campaigns, yet I started having an anxiety attack trying to create one in the app (not hyperbole). The font, style, & overall layout is irreparably altered to the point it's now illegible & I now have to log in on my laptop to fix it before I can send anything out. The other functions are useful but this is a HUGE miss

It's a great platform and the app is smooth too. However, the pricing upgrade just to be able to have a basic automated sequence (5 emails) is very high. I'm considering going elsewhere as there are plenty of cheaper and even free options available. For now I'm sticking with Mailchimp solely because I already have other aspects of my business set up through them. Automated sequences should be included in their free membership.

Terrible experiences all around. Half the time, the editor just won't work at all. Tap on an element, nothing at all happens. Other half of the time, you click on an element and the editor opens, and presents you with a view of two lines. The whole view is ridiculously smashed up to the top of the screen and the keyboard pops up the screen like a jack in the box, leaving an empty void under it. Every aspect of editing is painful in the rare instance you can even get the interface to work.

I've been working with MailChimp for almost a decade I think. Never had a complaint. I am a musician and it helps immensely to be able to run an email list so easily. Building campaigns is easy, and you can post a link to your archive so everyone can deep dive on your news updates- a great way to catch up newbies. Absolutely killer for a free service.

I love MailChimp, and have used it for years. But the app is not that useful. Unfortunately, there are glitches in the way that contact information is validated that make it impossible to update an existing contact within the app. Because some of our imports have included partial address information, every attempt to update gets an error saying that the address could not be validated. We cannot delete the existing address information, and it won't save a new email address. Very dumb.

Right Idea, Wrong Execution The campaign editor is so bad as to almost be unusable. When I edit my text on my phone, why would the full screen reading window shrink down to a tiny box that ¼ of my screen? Dumbest thing I've seen in a long time. I also pasted a title from another block that I deleted, and I can't figure out how to enlarge the text. I'm sure there's a way, but this speaks to the usability.

Used to work. Not anymore. Can't edit the text box in templates, old or new email campaigns. Rolled back to previous version. ALL versions affected, apparently. Old, new, doesn't matter. This tells me it's a broken dependency somewhere. My Android system is factory reset, fresh, and up-to-date on the same Galaxy S7 that worked just fine before. I don't know what's broken, what changed, what to fix or how to fix it, what to do to work around. Sent an email to support. No reply yet.

I I feel like this app could be improved. I use it for very basic email sendouts. There are little bugs in the editing portion when I am trying to resend to non-openers. The window for editing and typing could be much larger. It is only about half an inch wide and I have to scroll carefully to edit. Another problem I have is that it freezes up when I'm editing and then when I go to press DONE, the screen freezes and I have to close the app.

I really like the app. However lately when I am editing a campaign certain things will prompt a message saying "something went wrong". Once it does this, I am rarely able to edit that portion of the campaign. For instance, when I try to edit the media links at the bottom of the campaign (Facebook, Instagram, etc) it does this and then I am unable to get into edit or even delete the section. I tried to send a message through "help & support"on app but it says something went wrong with that too.

Really blown away by the features this software offers! It's done so much for my small mom & pop company over this past month that I've used it. I get a little bit confused by some wording choices and structure, BUT I'm terrible with technology and get frustrated easily. I can say that everything I needed from the software has proven to be incredibly successful, plus other neat things it offers that I use. I highly recommend it!
