The ads are all over the place on the app, which is normal in the microsoft games, but the thing that bothers me the most about this microsoft game versus the others is that the online service on the game is very spotty... It either puts me in offline mode when I start the app or it will switch me to offline mode in the middle of a game. I would switch the review to 4 stars if I could log into my account!

Well, it seems consistency is not your strong suit Microsoft. I have the windows desktop version and it works well including the landscape display and login always resumes my user data properly. That being said, this android version is not good. It logged me into my XBOX account but did not load my user progress. The display is only in portrait mode but no wide-screen/landscape mode for tablets or smartphones just like Solitaire has, I will change my rating once these issues are fixed.

This is a terrible Mahjong game. It is full of errors. One that happens quite often is that you're down to 4 tiles and the two exposed tiles cannot be selected. For some reason, the one tile covering two side by side tiles cannot be selected. Another problem is that the last two tiles are stacked on top is each other. The only good parts is that this game does not penalize you for skipping a game and the games load very fast So that's why I gave it two stars.

Offline mode only anymore.... I paid for an annual subscription to get rid of the ads. Now it won't load online mode, ever!!! So even if i just select a game it doesn't show its completed. So its not recording any progress in offline mode. This is even after getting a new phone and installing on it. My account and progress shows but never advances.

Fun at first but buggy. The game asks you to download "New Content" (112 MB) every time you open it, even if you have previously (repeatedly, > 3x) downloaded this content. It's as if it wipes every time you leave the game. Additionally, there are gameplay errors: in about 1 in 5 boards, there will be a seemingly "free"/ selectable tile marked unplayable, un-selectable. Shuffling doesn't always fix it, because the same tile spot will flash red even though it should be playable. Very annoying.

Only have had this game not even 3 hours yet and im being asked to rate it already? Withholding a better rating for the time being. But here's an actual USEFUL suggestion: Allow something like 1 or 2 hours of ad free game play, then run a block of 5 or less ads. Instead of allowing the ads to get ridiculous. Myself, I have deleted games I liked because I couldn't play the game because of too many ads.: start, ad, play, ad, finish, ad. And that was all just ONE puzzle.

The game crashes constantly. After numerous attempts, it 'connects' to say "download available". That fixes it but there's a 'download' at least 5+ times a week. Please fix this. I see that many users have the same problem with game not loading so this is a long standing problem. Is anyone able to fix this. I take a break to play Mahjong - but break is over before it will load! What's the problem???

Ads have volume turned on that you can't disable in advance. Nothing better than an ad to wake up your spouse who's sleeping next to you even though you have the apps settings to no volume. This is the second time I've had to review this app because Microsoft/Google deleted my first one because they don't like to hear the truth. I don't accept any app that forces volume on ads when I have the apps volume turned off. Shame on you Microsoft. I deleted this app. Don't believe this apps ratings

I love the game. There are so many ads. On top of the ones that run across the top of your screen, every other puzzle has full screen, max volume 1 min game ads. It's so bad I'll probably not play anymore. I have xbox live gold w/gamepass. I pay enough to Microsoft I shouldn't have to pay for a adblocker on one of their games too.

I like the game on mobile and on PC, BUT IT DOESN'T SYNC COMPLETELY. It will sync from PC to mobile, BUT won't sync from.mobile to PC. AND I'm sick and tired of either losing levels, or levels not syncing. On mobile, my level is veteran; on PC it's expert. When I tried to update it, I had just finished the challenges on mobile. Instead of syncing what I did to the PC, it ERASED it...an expert puzzle, and those aren't easy to get a perfect score on. So it erased a perfect expert puzzle challenge when I was hoping it would finally sync. I have been busted to novice THREE TIMES since this came out, and THAT, they managed to sync, busting me on both mobile and PC. WHAT GOOD ID THIS APP IF YOU CAN'T DO A PUZZLE ON IT AND HAVE IT GO UP TO THE PC? WHEN IT CAN'T EVEN SYNC A LEVEL? AND WHEN IT DOESN'T RECOGNIZE ANY SCORE EXCEPT THAT MADE ON CHALLENGES? FIX THIS BLASTED THING PLEASE.

Over all great fun but I've frequently had a top tile become unmovable after changing my mind or looking under the tile. The puzzle then is unbeatable and you have to restart. Not too bad if it happens in the first few tiles but really annoying if you are a few moves from finishing. If this bug was fixed this would be a 4 star app for mahjong. 5 star if the ads came on, on mute 🔕. It's jarring when listening to audiobooks or music and *bam* ad noises!

Nice, relaxing game reminiscent of desktop version back in the day. I understand that ads are necessary but these are just obnoxious. Low production quality, loud, long ads for terrible looking mobile games where clicking x takes you to the download page instead out of the ad. One ad tried to trick the user into downloading "an update" that was really for a different game. And they break whatever I am listening to. Poor UX.

Works well over all. I was prompted to download the big expansion / update, but once I did that, the prompt disappeared. The only issue I see is layouts not being flagged as 'complete' after I clear them. I've cleared layout #30 in puzzle pack 1 several times, but it still shows up when I filter the list to show only "not completed" puzzles

Can't restore purchase. I bought the full version on my iPhone, I lost the iPhone and had to switch to Android. I logged in to my account and it remembered all my progress but it's showing me ads again. So I clicked "restore purchases" and it just gives me a message back saying there's a problem doing that, with nun instructions to fix it. I'm not buying a second subscription for the same exact game and same exact account. The ads are insufferable.

Classic, good skins, and good puzzles. The issue is their motivation scheme. It's either go airplane mode so you don't see ads but miss out of gaining 'levels' and having to click a few buttons to start playing... Or pay a subscription to not see ads. I get there's other benefits to subbing but they don't justify the price. Their yearly price should be what a permanent option should be.

This is by far the nicest Mahjong game I have played. All the features and puzzles and challenges are fun and interesting. The unlockables and leveling are balanced and keep me coming back for more. Also, not having a bunch of annoying ads is amazing! ONE MAJOR ISSUE: Any time I go to quit the game and it asks me if I want to quit and I select Yes, it locks the game on the loading screen and I have to go into my settings and force-quit the app. Fix this and it should be an easy 5 stars.

Fun with clear (easy to identify) pictures on the tiles. Easy for a beginner because the tiles that are "free" are highlighted while the tiles that are not "free" appear to have a shadow. The games are interesting and challenging and do not repeat. There's no sense of having done the same puzzle before.
