I really want to like this app and in theory it's a fantastic idea. Unfortunately the AI really isn't that smart and I end up having to move everything around, trim, ect and it ends up taking the same amount of time or longer than doing it manually in Premiere. If there were just a few more simple tools available ( b-roll, accurately stay on a fixed run time mainly) this app could be awesome and could save me a bunch of time. If it gets better, I will happily update this review.

While it made a great video, I had to jump through hoops to get a free download and then it didn't even work but still took my one credit. App also asks for more permissions than I am comfortable with. As far as the editing, they have two offerings: free and professional. Download issue aside, I might have tried professional if it clearly outlined somewhere what you get with it VS the free but it didn't. Also, is music copyright/ royalty free? Creators need to know that info so make it clear!

I used to absolutely LOVE this app years ago and told everyone about it. At first it was free but then I didn't mind paying the $20 annual fee and appreciated most of their updates ... Now what I used to spend annually, I got roped into paying monthly!! $20 PER month after a 7 day free trial and while there are some great functionality I find it super glitchy and the tech doesn't work very well... And since I only create a magisto video every few months, it's a complete waste of money!

Absolutely horrible. No free trial to see if you like it. Paid $5 just to test the waters. Was completely disappointed in the service. GoQuik Pro has a better AI rendering and you can adjust the length of videos without leaving out the good parts. This app just cuts out the good parts and leaves the rest in a 30 sec clip that absolutely sucks. Hard pass.

I don't like the app , is same themes. filter for all video you wanna edit is not previous view for the video you are editing I Requested for refunds and I can't get it, they only wants your money no matter if you're satisfied or not with the app. I downloaded the app for free and then I purchased for $ 19.99 +taxes for one year , now theirs what you purchase professional app for $ 59.99 a year I hope get my money back otherwise I am losing $19.99 + taxes. thanks

not expecting to have to sign in either with google or facebook you can use the app under the "guest" option but as from there this app looks professional but really lacks are "Effects" options. There are many theme selections to choose from but I couldn't find either the "Logo or Captions" which some people like me need rather than any "themes". Maybe I had to purchase the "Pro Version" of this app but that's not gonna happen uninstall.

1st- Can't download your videos unless you pay-can't do a lot of things without pay. In the free version you can only create up to 1:30 videos. It costs $20 PER MONTH! 2nd- you pick your video, an 'editing style' and it makes the movie for you. Cant tweak it during, or even see what anything looks like. Maybe this is just for the free version. Then you have to wait for your very short video to upload - just to even see what it looks like. No thanks. edit: thanks for the cut and paste response 😑

Got it because I thought it was a video editor but it just threw together all the clips I had selected and gave me a finished product without letting me tweak things to my liking. This app is false advertising and to think that someone would pay $20 a month for an app that throws clips together for you with no option to edit further is preposterous.

I really do love this app. it works great and makes your video look good. it does the video editing bye it self and puts it together. I would say the only one thing is. The cost is a little to high. I wish they have plans like. You get to do 5 videos a month with a low cost. I feel you may have more wanting to do that. I paid for one month just to use it love it and cancel it. but lower cost then I would stay in heartbeat

This app is not the greatest to do an edit on. When I installed the app I expected to be able to make manual changes to to video. Instead I only got four options when it came to manually editing. The options were to change the photos, choose a filter, choose audio, and change the lenth. I didn't get to choose how the photos transitioned, or how the audio played out.

You can make really nice, professional looking movies with Magisto. Downside is that it takes FOREVER to make one. It shouldn't be this time consuming. There is no easy way to make small adjustments, as it seems sometimes the AI thinks it's smarter than you. I can't count how many times I've made a minor edit, like changing scene order or cutting a few seconds, only to have everything change. What really confuses me is when I ADD a scene and somehow the movie gets shorter!

Not a fan of the Google Photos integration on the mobile app. Outside of linking the account, the user experience in picking photos is pretty awful. There's no choice to pick from specific albums and there's no search integrated either. So instead, if I wanted to create a video from my phone, I'd have to scroll through tens of thousands of photos to do so. Why is this so?

It's nothing I thought it was going to be. I was under the impression that you had full control to customize it anyway you like but that is not the case. You select which video/pictures you would like then you select something similar to a "theme" and then it makes the video for you. The only customizations that you can apply are subtitles (but you can't choose color, where they are placed, font & size) and a title. (I was doing the professional trial) this is just my experience.

Was a great app when it was free. Might have used it every other month or so and it is fun and very easy. However, a $4.99/ month fee with a REQUIRED annual plan takes the fun away. Since they've already changed what I can do with the app three times, there is no way I will commit to an annual contract when I don't trust that they will keep it the same anymore.

The premium account is nice HOWEVER the app feels worse. Anytime I try and edit after the initial upload I receive an error message and am forced to delete the entire video and start over. As someone who creates content on the go I find this SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING & RIDICULOUSLY TIME CONSUMING after spending over $400/yr on the service. If you have the time and ability to sit at the computer, it works great. PLEASE FIX THE APP!! More editing options would be appreciated!

I make a family slideshow every year and I used it last year and loved it but this time I'm not too happy at all. I tried the "copy and edit" feature and it will not work. I contacted customer service, they are looking into it (waiting) I decided to start a new video, from scratch and twice it glitched and errored out and didn't save the finished product. TWICE! A lot of time picking all the pics & trimming videos and placing them exactly where I wanted them and NOTHING! Frustrating for sure.

The app's trash. You don't get to edit your movie, they do it for you by you picking a template and then waiting like twenty minutes for it to come out. I made a series of videos I planned to combine into one massive vlog, and I picked the template "No Filter." So after waiting a long time I watched the video and it cut off at the worst times, messed up the order of the videos...it was just so unbelievably bad. Just find another app, don't use this one. There's plenty of better ones.

There are a bunch of apps that provide far more, and far better features for free. The very limited and uninspired effects available to you for free, DOES NOT draw me into paying an exorbitant amount of money for a subpar app. I would peruse through the play store and scope out my competition first, before devolping an app that delivers far less than what's reasonably acceptable in 2019. I hope this was detailed enough. And no, I'm not interested in trying again. I have other apps. Thanks.

It's a great program which allows us to get things done in a flash. A preview of what is to come from our creations. Well Done! Of course there can always be improvements. However, I haven't bother to focus on them since the them @Magisto are constantly making improvements. Would there be a way to add voiceovers? 1/15/2019 I enjoy experiencing the growth of the Magisto app! Thanks!

Be very careful because this app signed me up for a free trial without my knowledge. I didn't realize until recently that I've been getting charged for the paid version for almost a year. Not only was I getting charged but my login didn't reflect that I had a paid version. Getting support was close to impossible. Thank goodness that I logged in one last time and it FINALLY reflected that I had a paid version and it allowed me to cancel. So disappointing.
