I've been using this app for years and it's been a great tool for composing music but with the most recent update the snare drum was made way quieter than the rest of the drum set, even when I apply fortississimo (fff) to it which has worked in the past. Hopefully this'll get fixed soon because it does put a big damper on what I find to be an otherwise really useful app.

Really great app! Am enjoying using it, but there are some things that could use improvement. For instance, key changes. I change the key, but when 8 add the next measure, everything reverts back to the original key instead of staying in the new key. Help? Re: If starting in key of Db, then changing to D; the 2nd measure after the key change reverts back to original key. If adding a B note, it plays and shows it as a Bb. However, when I play the whole piece, it stays in the new key.

When you use a stylus, use as fine a tip as you can find. A helpful tip... "tip" Get it? I tend to spend as much time adding notes as I do deleting notes since, once added, I can't seem to drag them to another height on the staff. This makes the app a bit less productive than I'd like. Once I discovered clicking on the beginning of the staff to change the key and time signature that helped as well. Easy to export music once entered but I wish I could just email it to myself.

I'm giving this up five stars to begin with. I had no idea how to use this app, but it provided some excellent tutorials, in the form of step by step visual instruction. In only my second attempt at using it, I already composed some of my own music. Quidditch, that will be super, if that's all I want to do. But I was hoping to import midi music into the app, and see it displayed as sheet music, and to be able to edit it. Or at least play it.

Thank you so much! As a user of Maestro since 2018, this app has genuinely helped me start composing music. I've even used midi files I exported from it in projects I've worked on. Even though I had some recent issues with files within the app, I was eventually able to get them fixed. I apolgize for previously giving this a 1 star review because of my issues. I just wanted to recover a part of my life. Maybe adding mass exporting and clarifying backup methods other than Cloud can help. 👍

I love it. I'm a new bass player and I use this all the time to help me. A feature request I have is to add the option to include guitar/bass tabs below the notation. Thank you! Update: Hey, Thanks for responding! If you are planning to update soon, I'd like to recommend a plucked or electric contrabass, and a distorted/overdriven bass. Happy to report that I bought your Ad free plan. Thanks again!

Clunky GUI that really disrupts efficiency. Among other things, zooming in and out of the screen is a pain because you need to access 2 extra menus instead of swiping with fingers. Adding instruments is tedious because you need to change each instrument manually after creating the staff instead of doing everything at once. I could go on. It's so frustrating to me why these little drawbacks exist. This has so much potential to be THE DEFINITE free music notation app, yet it still falls short.

I always thought this app was an overall amazing app, and deep down it is. However I have a big problem with a bug, I'm not sure how it happens but when I'm writing all piano sheet music it seems, it also seems to happen once I leave quite a few open spaces, A slur stretching across several measures, empty or not appears that typically obstructs my view of the measures and I have to go manually remove it. Other than that, I haven't found an option to change the tempo mid song, I suggest adding.

Overall, I really like this app, and it is really helpful for transcribing my band/choir music to practice with audio. Recently I noticed that when I export files, mp3 files go to my music folder now instead of my maestro folder, which is a bit annoying to move, and I do not know where my pdf files go. Things I would like to see added: -A better sorting system for finished pieces (overcrowded atm) -Option to remove keyboard during playback mode & change sizing during exporting -more instruments

I've been using this app for years but you guys never added the option of using different rest on a 2nd layer/voice Why? It's impossible to compose contrapuntal works, i don't want to add 4 pianos!! I believe that is a change that will not take much time to develop, the second voice/layer gives you a rest of the same value of the note, just change it so we can choose the one we want.

I never got any of the problems experienced by other users. I'm a student and just getting into arranging and I'm very happy with what I was able to do, just wish i could choose how slow a ritardando (so like i wish i could choose the tempo by the end, sort of like how u can choose how quiet or loud a crescendo or decrescendo gets) went but thats my only conplaint and its a really small one. overall, great, powerful program.

I like the new instruments and updates. The two different bass drums sound the same, so it would sound cooler of they were different. However, I wish I could add a tie for a note that goes to both the first and second ending. I also noticed that even when I change the key of a song, the notes always say "Do, Re, Mi..." for a C scale. Otherwise it's a good app. I recommend it

Everything I wanted in a sheet music writer. However it's a little slow even though I have a 2 GHz octo processer. Tip: if another's song doesn't immediately load, switch screens, and wait for the music to begin. Another thing is that the color scheme is outdated in the demonstration images below. But they are still the same function in the app. I want this to be compatible with windows 11.

Very pleased with the app so far. I can finally compose on my phone! There's a few small things that could be improved, but otherwise it's very good. My biggest qualm is that there isn't a sustain function for piano. If there is, I couldn't find it. Also, during playback if you use repeats it doesn't scroll back to the beginning (of the repeat). On the plus side- it includes a lot of functions such as repeats, codas, multiple endings, and even 128th notes! More than you get with Finale notepad.

Love this app. Being on a budget and not currently having a daw or midi keyboard, I can write music and click the notes in with Maestro. By layering the tracks and importing into Bandlab I get fairly good quality considering it's just my Android cell phone. Would be great if a feature was added to copy/paste multiple tracks by swiping up or down on phone screen.

I've been using this app for a while and I can say it's very nice, it's been relyable and useful when composing online sheet music. The only problem is how badly it optimizes triplets and how little control over the tempo it gives you. Id give this app 5 out of 5 stars if I could simply just choose different tempos for different parts of my piece, that's all I need. But sadly since they give you basically no control over tempo, its a 3 star

I found that this app was very easy to use and had a lot of options. But a couple of questions or concerns I have Is that there is no way to overlap multiple pieces with different instruments to make it sound like a real band piece. Just to clarify, I'm not getting this app to make band sheet music, just to write down notes and listen to It. Another question I have if tt is possible to change the tempo throughout the piece.

This app was my introduction to making sheet music, and I think it's still usefull, even with the ever-changing snare. One issue that I have is that there is no import midi feature, but I don't imagine that it would be easy to implement, so it's fine for most uses. Also copy and paste is... something. Otherwise really like using it. Also the midi limit is limiting for my kind of music. I would say 3.5 to 4.5 out of 5.

This app is absolutely fun for my musical shennanigans! Every single piece of this app, to the last bit is hands-down incredible! To all the people who have problems with this app, there has to be to be a way to fix it. I just want to adress ONE thing. The dark mode for this app is a bit wonky, and is just an inversion of the original colors. It distorts my vision, and I would like a more proper version of the dark mode. Everything else is amazing!

I'm surprised this app isn't more popular because this is one of the best music making apps ever, while being free at the same time! There are even microtones, which are rare in music apps. However, other people's concerts don't have the options for part selection or tile drop, so those features are only accessible from my own songs. Also, sometimes pasting parts can mess up the bar lines, and I have to fix them manually. Overall, it's a really good app, and I definitely recommend it!
