A gamebook is a type of RPG (role-playing game) where you shape your own adventure by choosing what your character will do next.
This app takes the adventure to the next level, allowing you to play through the gamebook without any additional accessories. Normally, you would need at least a pencil and paper to track your stats and equipment, but this is no longer necessary. This app takes care of everything from inventory management to random number generation, which means you can just focus on enjoying the story.
Joe Dever, a former Dungeons & Dragons champion and the creator of the best-selling Lone Wolf adventure books and novels has most generously offered to allow some of his books to be published on the internet free of charge. The series ended after 28 books and 14 years, and you can now enjoy the last 8 gamebooks on your phone.
This app could not have been made without Project Aon - a volunteer group of fans dedicated to publishing these text adventures online free of charge for everyone to enjoy.

Replicates the immersive book experience. Convenient feature of auto number rolls and records reduces the tedious manual work associated with the book. Thumbs up!!

Having never known anything about the Lone Wolf Series i downloaded this app because i like game books. Now I am a Lone Wolf fan for life. For Sommerlund and the Kai!!! I cant get enough of this series. Love it and thank you! 4.9 . I would recommend starting back in the first books though. Lone Wolf Saga Flight From The Dark.

The read is good but the game part is a disaster. Not to mention how i lost my existing character(which i spent hours on) because i decided to read a part i missed from a previous book...who ever came up with that idea

I did not play this game for one simple reason. I wanted to review it because I read the description of the game and I was intrigued until I saw that it is only 8 of the more than 28 or 30 books that it has. If they could get the entire series in this game app I will be willing to play the game from start to finish knowing it will be a very long and interesting play.

This is the example of best game design. Great story telling, cool world building, but sometime the side character is forgettable. But the overall this is a good game when you have some free time.

The story is great. The gameplay is either rng related or you choose the number yourself to take certain ways. The beginning description of not needing high hp and attack stats and soly your wits is a ruse! Forced combat everywhere! I'd imagine it as great book, but using rng sucks.

Five stars Great new pathway into game books of my youth, easy to read background and font, on the second book now hoping the third in the series will be available very soon, don't hesitate re this app download it now it will entertain you for a great deal of time many thanks for a superb usable application.

Question: is there no option to leave some items at the Monastery between books? I played the other Lone Wolf app and one of my favourite features was being able to collect items throughout. Having just completed book 2, I'm wondering if that ever comes in New Order.

Great story but the game play needs more options. Actually I would like to read all the books and not play the game, I have alzheimers which makes game play very difficult. I've tried to complete the 4th book rune wars more than a dozen times and failed. I'm tired and I give up so good bye.

to people complaining about how you have to buy the save features it's only 0.99$ and also you can choose to manually pick the numbers wich is basically like cheat mode. also there is a bug where the ability deliverance does not heal the protagonist each section (I am unaware of the 10 per book rule. thanks)

Iv always loves Lonewolf books as a kid... was that one step up from the normal choose your own adventures... I cant wait for more books to be added... I def chewed through them all pretty quick... I found only a few minor glitches and have been really impressed with the over all quality of the app... Keep up the good work!!!!

Amazing, well written world. You can choose to play as a traditional game book, or tweak the setting to enjoy just the story. Plenty of content. And its all free.. A huge thank you to the devs, you guys/gals are awesome. Keep rockin.

Outstanding effort! Never thought I could play this in my phone. Few recommendations: 1. Enable player to arrange the order of backpack and special items. 2. Allow player to decide when to utilise 10 EP from Curing and 20 EP from Deliverance. 3. Allow map to be dragged for easier view. 4. Upgrade map to mark up journey progress. 5. Allow item safekeeping at monastery like we did in Kai, Magnakai and Grand Master Adventures.

I'm stuck on 1/51. the game won't let me pick a random number, so i can't move forward. but i was looking the game before this mishap Update Thank you for your help but i still have to rate this low. Maybe I'm just confused but the fights come before you've had time to fully recover. So I've died 18 times and I'm not even through the first book!

This is a wonderfully intuitive interface for enjoying the Lone Wolf New Order books by Joe Dever through Project Aon. It seemlessly streamlines all of the Action Chart management while maintaining the agency that these books are famous for by including buttons in the story choices to perform the necessary updates. I was confused in the first combats because I expected the newest information to be the last line of the combat record: it's at the top (pointing it out would help). Great app!

It's a faithfull reminder of the old paper based DND style games where you had to leave between pages and puzzle it out. Not entirely sure all the scenarios pan out I think in some cases it lets you do things when logically you can't (eg it assumes you have a skill you don't have) also some of the skills seem little used, and I'm not sure about the puzzles which are otherwise a great feature. Enjoyable enough story but a bit to reliant on your all-round amazing skills to survive. Very Good

An excellent app to Play the Lone Wolf New Order series on as it records everything for you and is very user friendly. Further it includes all of the books in the series (after you download the app, you simply just download the books). I would definitely recommend this app to anyone looking for an easy way to play the whole series on the go.

Love the game. Been a fan of this series for 30 years. I have also noticed the auto cure is not working. I have grand deliverance and have auto cure on. It will work for a while then stop. It doesn't work through most book. Plus the puzzle to get Sandanzos scroll on book 3 doesn't work. I tried numerous times and it just wouldn't work.
