Upon opening the app a full screen video ad appears. They also reappear regularly as you try to view your photos and sometimes are impossible to shut down. In addition there is a small ad banner at the bottom which you cannot delete. When you turn your phone horizontal that same banner actually covers your photos. This aggression is obviously a strategy to force you to purchase an upgrade. So now you suggest that I cave in to that aggression and purchase an upgrade. Really?

Love this app, but I wish we could also encrypt photos that aren't in our internal storage, let's say for example, encrypting backed up photos in Google Photos. Also, I wish we can encrypt whole video folders. P.S. I wish there could be an in app photo editor so that we don't have to unlock and edit our photos in other apps. Please include that! Also, I wish the grid for each folder could be individual so that way it doesn't affect every subfolder.

It's a very good app for organizing photos and videos into albums, then sorting them around as you wish. Security is a bonus to this app, adding protection around your gallery is something I never thought of so that was a nice touch. However one thing I'd like to see implemented is one more form of backup, that is utilitizing your Google account to backup all of your gallery content. An idea similar to Google Photos. Other than that, this is a good gallery app.

Works extremely well as advertised. It shows all the signs of actually locking things away correctly. There is no Cloud for it to siphon your data off. Your email is a forced info for them. Be prepared to pay for their premium to get simple options. 160 + for there life version or over $10 a month or if you buy a whole year then you get it for $2 a month. I may drop it to two stars the more I think about it. You greedy... looking for another app to replace you. UPDATE:The support is very good. BUT!!! For the "free" version it is like being a teenager and borrowing the car. YOU can't roll down the windows, turn on the radio, adjust the seat, use the air conditioning (and today it will hit 109°F) and there will be Google ads blocking your windshield. The last is why I dropped them from 3 to 2 stars. IN ALL FAIRNESS: This is a solid app with good support, as long as you need it bad enough to pay for your security, then I recommend you get the PRO or full version. I give the free version barely 2⭐ whereas I give the paid version 5⭐.

What the heck! Advertising that leaps out full blast by default? Then it won't let you adjust the volume for a count of 3-5 seconds. That, plus a less than stellar result moving pics into storage tells me your free to sample version sucks. I want to point out that your ads reappear every 3 images and force you to wait through 30 second ads. I now hate this app and rate it 0 stars.

It's pretty easy to use, it closes automatically when you switch to a different app. You can send pics and videos from it, I haven't lost any media while using it. It's easy to transfer from this app to my album and vice versa. My only complaint is when a commercial comes up it's quite loud so watch you volume if you don't want to make a scene. I've been using this app for well over 6 months, I wanted to wait to rate it to make sure my review was helpful to others as much as possible.

This app was great when I installed it but they've added more and more intrusive ads. Now you have to watch multiple videos that you can't skip to get to your content. It's ridiculous to expect me to spend more time dealing with ads than actually using the app itself. I'm uninstalling. Edit: their response to this review was to upgrade to remove ads for the best experience. That's a non-answer. The free version should convince me that paid features are worth it, not that I need it to escape ads

Best no-nonsense photo vault I've tried as of yet. This is the only one that's given me the option to keep the original photos on my phone after importing, which I appreciate because I store the originals elsewhere for safekeeping. There are a lot of premium features it keeps you locked out of (such as recovering deleted photos, so make sure not to delete by accident) but it won't flash premium ads in your face wherever you go, and it does a basic job just fine for free.

App was running fine and had a lot of great options from the paid app. Then all of a sudden they added an expensive subscription model and took away 80% of the features. What a total rip off and bait and switch scheme. I cannot support someone who does this. You're not running a server for my photos. These pictures and videos are on my phone.

LockMyPix has a very well thought out, and easy to use interface. Having sub-folders and it deleting the originals after the import makes it one of the best out there. I would highly recommend exempt that I ran into a program where after moving and renaming vids within the sub-folders, they would become unplayable/corrupt. Restarting did not change this, and decrypting was still the same after. After having a dozen files go bad, I decided to stop using it.

One star so developers notice. This app was great when I started using it about 2 years ago. At one point I had 5-6 folders on the free version, but went to 2 a while back. Tried to add a folder last week, get the upgrade page, oh well. Today I can't even add files without upgrading, when I previously had even more. As time goes on, less is available on the free version. I understand adding more that requires upgrading, but not taking away, and that doesn't get my money just based on principle.

Had this app for years now and paid for the premium app. Up until the past few months, it had worked well. But then the "hidden icon" feature didn't work. I emailed the developer and they did respond quickly, but no fixes ever seemed to be made. Now the worst case scenario happened. The app essentially reset itself and is acting as if I am a new customer. My years of documents and photos are lost. I have to hope I have a backup but it won't be recent. Beyond indignant.

Instead of replacing my pictures back into the original folder when I unencrypted them, it apparently deleted them. Now I'm out a lot of photos that can't be replaced because some of the people in them are no longer alive. I guess that's what I get for being lazy and importing an entire folder instead of picking and choosing some to try it out first.

I give it a three until I make sure it is safe. I have only marked permission for storage but I got a notice that it has permission to record calls. It did not say it has the capability. It said it had permission. Please help me to know if I am missing something Update: When I set up the account I marked no on permissions but a malware/spy app said that it is turned on. I want to make sure there is not a hidden override that gives you access even though I marked No. Thanks so much for the timely response Update 2: Super happy with the customer service of this app. I appreciate the prompt response and explanations. I recommend it!

I started with the free version and found it easy to use and it performed as described. So I upgraded to the full version. Still haven't used all the features but liking what I have used. It's a great way to store my pics and organize them without accidentally losing them in the phone's primary Gallery. And the "camouflage" option to hide the apps thumbnail as another program is cool.

Yet again massive limitations on extremely basic things just like their other apps, you can't even have sub-folders in this one for free like the last one. Unless you can spend $10 a month, $25 a year or $165 for the full version, this is terrible. Edit: Yes, by removing file extensions or adding .nomedia to the end so that Android doesn't even load it, I didn't say it was basic, I said the limitations are. I should not have to pay just to have sub-albums inside of the app.

App works wonderfully and hides pictures efficiently. I'm only giving it 2 stars because the ads are way too aggressive. At first when I downloaded this app, I had no ad issues. 2nd day in I flip through 3 pictures and then an ad pops up for 5-15 seconds. I flip through a few more pics and more 5-15sec ads. I back out of a photo, an ad. I put my password in, an ad. I turn my screen sideways, an ad. I've never had an issue with other apps ads being displayed like this. Way too aggressive.

Poor usability. The app always prompts for a password whenever you add a photo to it from the gallery. It also does not remember the last used folder or allow you to set a default folder. So, as you scroll through your gallery adding files you will have to put in your password and select the destination folder every. single. time. Add a longer timeout (say, 5 minutes) between needing password re-input and use the last-selected folder as the default one and this would be a 5 star instant buy.

Honestly, this is everything I was looking for in a photo vault. The two key features I like are the ability to reorganize images by dragging and dropping them and the ability to create sub folders/directories. It really does seem perfect. My only complaint issues it's difficult sorting files by their name. Update: I dropped it by 2 stars because I have been running into a new issue. While zoomed in on a and swiping to pan the image, you swipe to the next image in a folder instead.

Great app. Love it 😍😍. The app is having trouble syncing with Google drive. Not syncing at all. I uninstalled the app from one device and installed it in another one and the material didn't update to the new device. Also when writing a note, there is no auto correct. Another issue is when writing a long note it's very difficult to navigate to theower part of the note. The note does not let you scroll down.
