This app includes schedules for ALL Eskom supplied areas (nationwide) and ALL known municipality supplied areas (nationwide) that publish load shedding schedules. If your municipality is not included, please send an email to abisoft11@gmail.com to get it added.

Very nice app overall. The notification options are confusing (too many options). Basically I want 2 categories of notifications: 1: notifications for changes in load shedding status (i.e. a change from no load shedding to whatever level), as this will ensure i know when random loadshedding will be implemented after a period of Eskom uptime. And 2: notifications reminding me an hour or so beforehand when the power will be off in my area. I will always keep nr 1 on, but nr 2 not always.

I wish Eskom didn't have to implement load shedding in the first place. But since that can't be helped, this app does a great job of notifying me before there's load shedding. It always gets the schedules accurate for my location. The advertisements are not intrusive either. However, a lot more people would benefit if you added more villages in Eastern Cape

It was good in the beginning but as of last week we've been having random loadshedding occurrences and there was no warning, due to this many of my electronic devices including PCs have been damaged due to the sudden power outages. This app helps alot, but if this issue is not fixed I wouldn't recommend this app anymore due to it's faulty nature and failure to notify sudden changes in the schedule.

Great app, notifications always on time and helpful. Thank you for the update including up to stage 8, but it's very cluttered and messy, the non solid shapes and status is confusing now. Using the solid colours with the stage and your bar was much easier to use. Also no definition between the days. Not easy on the eye I guess

Accurate, lets us know when exactly in the day we will be in the dark and without power.. yeeeey. Love the little pop up notifications when the power is about to cut. I extremely enjoy this app. and going through the settings adding and deleting areas is the best yet I must say. I absolutely love this app and it is the ultimate fave of all I have on my phone... 🥰🥰🥰 I have never been this happy and excited about an app. before.

The service provided by this Developer is exceptional. Towards the end of last year I was not receiving advices of loadshedding. I emailed the Developer, they investigated, identified an issue, and within 3 weeks rectified the problem. Amazingly they emailed me to advise the issue had been rectified! Exceptional service - thanks peeps!!

Great app absolutely essential - Update 8 Oct 2020: since the last update, the notification function decided to follow a mind of its own. It uses a common notification sound associated with other apps, and does not allow me to change the sound (crashes when I attempt to edit the settings). This is getting to be VERY annoying... Degrading my rating to three stars only. Grrrrr

It helps to know when the power is going te be off. The notification part of the app just doesn't work. And when eskom announces that load shedding will begin at a certain time the app keeps saying 'no load shedding ' untill it starts. So you might not see that the power wil be out until it's off. However then you can still check whether it is in fact load shedding or not. I LIKE THIS APP.. It makes navigating this power crisis possible.

I used to use the other major loadshedding app, but their chat/trending functionality is the pits, so I moved over to this app. No complaints. Everything works fine. The interface feels more cluttered, but that's just a style preference. This app works just fine and I don't have to put up with people airing their opinions to the world, which is nice.

This is a great tool to schedure your around load shedding, but the added problem is, when you are dealing with people with other load shedding schedules. But the app also caters for these. One drawback is that the stored schedules cannot be rearranged to put them nextbto each other. Also when swiping from one area to the next, it looses sync with the other area. This would have to be fixed to work like the columns in a sprradsheet, then it even more user friendly!!

Edit: the developers got back to me in good time, and disabled the blaringly loud videos, and I respect that. Thank you. Surprising how one thing can ruin an experience entirely. Old review: (It's almost a good app, except for the video adds that blasts at full volume every time you change the menu, when nobody has wifi... Just get ESP instead, your ears will thank me.)

Great App! It works reliably, it's updated regularly, and it's stable and very configurable. Wishlist: I would love to be able to switch notifications on/off per monitored area, as well as a Widget, please! No complaints - It makes it easier to manage the frustration of loadshedding, and that's a win in my books!

It was always very accurate and I could rely on it, until we hit stage six few weeks back. Now you can't even be sure like last night (5/8/2022). It showed that my area wasn't being loafshedded and then bam 20:00 the lights went out. But I do find it very appreciative that the two main areas I drive through aren't loafshedded at exactly the same time anymore. I also agree with the pin location suggestion. Would be a great help when traveling so you don't have to download each area.

Definitely alighs with load shedding schedules. Manually checking and setting alarms accordingly can be tedious. Been using the app successfuly for years.

It really was great, but sadly...the app went dark on me. Now the app is forever loading tryna open, screen is pitch black. Tried clearing cache and stuff but... It failed. Please create another update I love your app 🙏 I'll update review when app is okay

I hadn't upgraded for a while and just upgraded. The new theme/ui is terrible. Everything is smaller and I also don't want a dashboard option (can this be added to settings somehow?). How can I get an old version of the app?

29July2024: Is there a way this app can help with these recent power cuts? It seems Eskom or whoever just decided to make power cuts without informing anyone. -- Past review: Good app. It's definitely made these power outages less terrible with the timely notifications.

I have been using this reliable app since 2020. Not only is it free, but also flexible: convenient and multi-area functional. I love it. I rated this app two years ago (April 2022) My view of the app, since then, has not changed. The app loads fast, it is reliable, and free. And I have never experienced any buggy behavior. I am grateful to the developers for this elegant piece of software.

it's reliable and helpful at all times. I have used it in different areas, and I always find it suitable and help me to prepare myself. the updates are always correct. You can switch to any area of our nine provinces at any time, and still, you will be posted with the correct schedule. It doesn't need much space on your devices .it's so convenient.

Accurate for loadshedding. Ads are NOISY and intrusive. When you open a tweet notification and then click back it closes the app (and plays a noisy ad) instead of showing you the loadshedding times page. Even if I paid for it, I would still want to go from a notification to the tweets to the schedule, not out of the app once I press back from the tweets. I don't buy apps where coders deliberately try to annoy me with noisy ads. Entice me don't annoy me. ***UPDATE*** The ads are silent now! 🙏🏼
