Would be a lot more fun if you could continue combining cards "in game" rather than perform research, like you do in the tutorial battle. Unfortunately the research mechanic of the game just turns it into another "idle game" where you're waiting for hours to unlock a card. Tutorial battle leads you to believe you could just combine cards mid-battle, and it would have been a much more fun game if that were the case.

I want to like this game but there's barely a tutorial. I'm lost mostly. Yeah I can battle with cards and make combos but when it comes to upgrading you need dust, I have a couple cards I can turn to dust the rest say need to be a higher level or something. Why? The arena is tough as a beginner you lose a lot. There's just so much potential this game could have but they built that into paying for the experience. Update uninstalled the game. The event rewards are not worth the grind.

The game play loop is fun. However, it has an end. There comes a point where if you would like to play this free, you will literally hit a wall and can't progress. There isn't a mechanic in this game to replay battles, so they only get harder. It's a spiral that ultimately leads to paying money to progress. It's ultimately very sad that an interesting game is basically unplayable after a few weeks without investing money. I would rather have paid ten dollars for the game then wasted my time.

I was kind of enjoying the game, and then I encountered my first goblin king, with the only warning being "watch out, he'll run away if you lose!" No warning that he's literally four times stronger than anything I'd seen up to that point. It's just a game, and it's not like I lost anything, but that right there is what one would call a negative play experience/bad game design. At least a bit more warning of what I was walking into would've helped.

It has a very fun play system, and the very cartoonish art style works well with it. However the advancement process is very lacking. UPDATE (11-18-23) They have changed a few features that have helped improve the game. You now get a two indentical cards daily to add to your collection, among other tweaks. This has greatly improved my enjoyment of the game. Keep up the great work folks.

Honestly this game could be amazing, but I'm probably going to end up losing interest for a couple reasons. 1. The research time is atrocious. 24 hours for common lvl 2 cards? Unacceptable. 2. The gems are way to hard to come by, and way to expensive for how little you get. Feels very pay to play. 3. The energy system needs redone. It's fine for the first few levels, but after awhile it's simply not enough. It's not even like the drop rate is practical, so there's no point having energy.

I used to play this as a kid and decided to see how good it is now. If I could I'd give it a 3.5/5, but as a lot of things are still going to be reworked I'm giving a 4 in hopes for good changes. The main complaint I have is with research. For new players, it might turn them off the game having to wait 6 hours for only a silver combo, especially with the small amount of research slots. I'd either increase the slots, decrease the time, or have some combos unlocked right away, preferably the last.

I love this game. I used to play it back when I was middle school, and to see it back is a joy. But the constant freezing, crashing, and losing energy and battles as a result of it is the most frustrating thing imaginable. No different battle speed fixes it, and it's getting to be unbearable. I can only hope this gets fixed in the future because I do truly love this game.

It's not a bad game. What's holding it back is the consistent popups as you switch screens. Do I wanna buy this pack? No ty. Cards that can be turned to dust? Not at this time ty. I have enough gold for a booster pack? Yes I'm aware. An occasional reminder would be fine, but every time you switch screens? No thank you. I think that's part of the reason I stopped playing the original. Research could be a little faster too. If they fix that I'd amend this to a higher rating.

I enjoy the game playing the game, i have always liked card games like yhis and animation throwdown. My biggest complaints are, 6 i have installed the game, i almost never get matched with someone at my level in the arena. I have 0 stars and am consistently matched with players who have 2k or more. So i have no chance at progressing there. And then recycling, upgrading, and researching cards is a pain in the rear as you have to go through all of the cards to find the ones you are looking for.

This has a lot of potential. There are just two major choices that hold it back: 1. It's more reliant on RNG than strategy. You get your cards, and hope that they mix. That's it. 2. The game slows everything in an attempt to make spending money worth it. In-game currency is sparse, some combos need research that takes at least an hour, and battles cost more energy as you go.

It has a lot of potential to be an even better game than it is but it's lacking a few things. It's hard to consistently play the game as the energy system is quite low. Card upgrades take to long to get material for. You cannot go backwards to easier boss difficulties. Ignoring those blatant faults this game is a very nice progression based playthrough.

This a fun little game. I appreciate the mini boss and card acquiring. I do love the push to make stronger combination but I feel that some of the gold combo cards should be made available for a gold cost rather then having to spend personal money. The energy limit makes things very slow going for the amount of time it takes to recharge, along with the cost of some of the bosses.

After the initial excitement wore off, I've gotta say I'm pretty disappointed. The reskin is only slight and the poppups feel more intrusive than the original. There's also bugs in the combo research room. Ultimately, I'm also disappointed that nothing new seems to have been added. Maybe there's new high rarity/cash-locked cards? I dunno. Some card resesign or a new way to show battle animation could've made this soo much better.

Started out fun, but grew tired of the waiting. The mechanic for building your combo cards is really unbalanced and confusing. I don't want to wait 12 hours for 80% of the combos. Achieving cards during the story line seems heavily weighted against the player, and for some reason the enemy has cards tiers above what you could have for the stage, unless you dump cash into the app, so the experience becomes lacking quickly.

The game itself is fun, bit of a learning curve and time investment researching card combos but worth doing. Main downside is since I upgraded phones from the Samsung galaxy 21 ultra to the 24 ultra it crashes constantly now. Apparently it's a known issue with unity and the newest processors. Waiting on unity to be patched I guess. Good to know at least

Game is a fun, the combos are interesting, and the progression is rewarding. Did take a few hours of game play to understand which cards were better than others but since then I've been enjoying the game even more. Only downside is, I upgraded my phone from a Samsung S10 to a S24 and the game constantly crashes now. For solo play it is just an annoyance, you don't lose stamina when it crashes, and I just have to do the fight again. But in PvP arena, I keep losing rank when the game crashes.

It's a solid game, easy to pick up and fun to play. Challenging at times. There needs to be more chapters added to the story mode and the matchmaking in PVP kind of sucks. It's either an easy win or crushing defeat a good game in PVP is rare. All and all it's worth a try if you're looking for an easy card game that's entertaining

Easy to pick up and learn. They modified some cards, added new ones, and changed some PvP elements. Unfortunately, you need an internet connection to play. The difficulty scaling for PvP is busted too, but it was like that when Kongregate had this game. Players hit a massive wall mid-game with regular enemies. Arena becomes impossible at times. You actively need to spend money or you lose consistently. Otherwise, you'll be stuck grinding for days. Energy cap is laughably low for PvE by design.

Honestly. I understand a lot of the criticism. The tutorial is short and sweet. kind of leaves you in the dark feels like at first. But the first few adventures are easy enough to really feel out the game mechanics. if you don't play rogue cards. It will be especially difficult to get fast. Yet When everything clicks. It's actually really awesome and worth the .99 starter bundle. If you know what you're doing. The research process is a little like "dang". But 4.6☆ imop. All love here.
