In the past 6-12 months, it's become more and more buggy. The worst of it is hyper sensitivity to left (deletes item permanently) and right (checks item) swipes. You will try to scroll up or down and it may do the other actions without you noticing what it just permanently deleted or checked on/off. It's become laggy and has started occasionally popping ads up as of I've clicked on them. Used to be pretty decent.

Update: I did report this problem in the app using the help and feedback button at the same time I posted the initial review. I haven't heard back. Thanks. With the latest update, when I create a list and arrange the items how I want them, they don't stay that way. When I reopen the app, the items are out of order, making my shopping experience frustrating. Please fix the app!

My wife and I use this for a shared grocery list. It has worked fine and has no complaints until more recently. I check items off after every time getting groceries weekly. After opening it again later to check what else we may need, at another time, the entire checked off and deleted list has reappeared. This makes the app basically useless for tracking, as I'll have items from months ago on the list that I don't know if my wife added again or not. Would be 5 stars if not for this.

This app adds unwanted products (e.g. toys, fish products) to shopping lists, probably as a form of "advertising". This is disgusting. I don't care how it happens, this is confusing for people sharing list, leads to unnecessary products being bought and it clearly shows malicious intent. Oh, and there are some useless, distracting notifications like "empty fridge?"

Overall great app, I especially like the sharing feature. The swipe feature is iffy as often I accidentally swipe on items, which annoyingly removes them from the list. This is not a huge problem unless you don't keep up with deleting your 'checked' items.

I tried out multiple list app and this is the one that I could share my lists with the rest of the family. So I can send my hubby shopping and he knows exactly what is needed without a slip of paper. I was also looking for an app that he could use to do his parents shopping for them. His mom's list would get forgotten a lot or there'd be updated lists that he'd need. With this app it updates to all that the lists are shared to and it's right here on your phone. works great with no bugs.

We're still new to this app but we are happy with it so far. I wanted to be able to share the list with my wife and this has been very useful to us in this time of Coronaviris. It's also nice that the app is being actively supported since the previous app I was using appears not to be anymore. Still going strong with this app as of 7/24. Works well for us and supports multiple shared lists. Still happy with this app.

UPDATE from 5 stars to 1 👎:( A recent update has made this app rather frustrating. It reorders lists endlessly, I change the order, it automatically changes it back. Or creates some new random order, no rhyme or reason to it, not alphabetical or anything. It added a ton of deleted lists back to my account. If I want my Costco list at the top it should stay at the top. Endlessly getting asked to review an app I've already reviewed is also annoying.

Had this app since 2017 and loved it...till now😱 I understand ads, but they say they don't add those items to our lists, yet half of the reviewers say they do! Hubby buys things I didn't record! Evil! *The newest is while scrolling, it's SUPER easy to delete an item because it's uber-sensitive to swipe left to delete! "Check the box to delete" is good enough! How about, UNDO or CROSS OFF? Please change this! I love the look and past ease of this app and I would gladly come back if you did.

I have been using this for awhile and my biggest complaint is that when I am trying to scroll up or down on a list it will remove current items or add previous items. It's acting like I'm swiping left or right instead of scrolling up and down. If there was an option to confirm removal or addition of previous items would be great. I am on the version you listed and these options are not there. The u do button does not show up now can I see an option to block swiping.

Love this app! I use it for restaurant takeout but kinda backwards. Make a list for each place you go to regularly. Then put each of your favorite items on the list for that particular store and check the boxes. Next time you make a run to the border or wherever.. just uncheck the items your picking up this trip and they rise to the top of the list. Do the same for each of the restaurants you frequent. Recheck the boxes when you're done but don't delete them!

App was working well for about a year, with about 8 different lists created for different types of shopping. Today it kept shutting down after about 20 seconds of being opened. Looked at it on the app store and saw there was an update available. Decided to update it to fix the bug. Found that all 8 lists are gone. Have to start all over again.

Grabbed this one to replace Google keep, which was not functioning/syncing properly. This app does exactly what it's meant for! Been using it for years. The only problem is that whenever I change the category for a list item, the app changes it back after a bit of time. 2024 update: core functionality of app still works well, even though it still has the occasional category-forgetting issue. However now it uses so much data (I assume to serve ads) that I'm looking for a new grocery list app..

My wife and I use this for everything, and it makes shopping so much easier. We have lists for Costco, grocery store, target, home depot, and even for packing for our son. It makes it quick and easy to update the list and share with your partner so nothing is forgotten. The only negative that I have come across is that every now and then, an item will be randomly added to our lists that we didn't add. Besides that, great app.

It's a good app. EDIT: If I can make a suggestion; this app needs a button to check all items on a list at once rather than checking off each item separately. Gets to be a pain when you have dozens of grocery items on a list. I do like how it automatically categorizes your items, and you can sort them by type and add prices. You can also share your list with other family members.

This is PERFECT for anyone wanting to track their spending during a shopping trip. Every entry is live, no having to refresh. Also, no more doing mental math when buying per pound! Just enter the price and how much it weighs - the app does the math. Another great thing that makes this my only go-to list app is shopping lists can be sent to anyone with the app. Now, my son can do half the shopping without having to remember the prices for me to enter. No more bad surprises at checkout!

The best free shopping app I ever used! You can add your own shopping list, by store or by category, or anything you name. You can add shopping items freely by any name you want. There are default categories to associate with an item for grouping things. You can also create your own category in "My Categories". For each shopping item, you can add unit, price, quantity, and notes. Well enough functionality for daily shopping. (Only small non-disturbing ads at the bottom.) Highly recommended!

Listonic is genuinely awesome! I've used it for years now for various shopping lists (supermarket, Target, liquor store, Costco, etc), stuff I take with me when I travel, books I want to read, and more. I love the fact that you can customize lists, customize categories within lists, sort by ABC or category order, and I love that it has a search function. It's one of the few apps that does what it says it'll do, and does it right and easily. And, they respond to email questions too!

It's really great but there should be a setting/option to set a budget or a amount of money you don't want to go over In the "Prices Summery". Here's an example: let's say I can only use $500 for shopping. It would auto-calcuate everything like normal (assuming you have prices enabled) so it would say the total of all items, but it would also show how much money you have remaining. Adding an option like that would make it perfect In my opinion!

Has been super helpful for my partner and I when it comes to planning our shopping trips, and even vacation trips. Also love how the adds don't bombard you and it's your choice to watch them or not. Personally, I typically watch a few every time I'm on it just to give the app my support.
