Very nice and lightweight emulator, still missing some features but that's to be expected knowing that it's still new. But I would love to see RetroAchievements being supported in the future.

I was wondering if multiple save slots will ever go free? if not multiple then one save slot free and to access others you need to buy premium? other then this, 100% best emulator for phone as of right now

Hi, I like the design concept from My Boy! Emulator and with more features and dynamic colours. But I would love to have more save slots and My Boy! Colour whiteish button for Linkboy emulator instead of just dynamic colours

Decided to update my review. When selecting folder for games it just clumps everything together in one place. I have many games in different folders for some organization so it's pretty annoying having everything in just one list.

Linkboy is an excellent GameBoy Advance emulator with link capabilities. You can add files separately or add a folder of GBA roms. It has good emulation, and the touchscreen controller is pretty good. Its worth purchasing the premium features. 👍

Good refresh on the app! I just hope the gameplay speed toggle can change from holding it down to just on/off to work. That's currently affecting the way I play on emulators and is keeping me from using this emulator above others.

Yoo what is this? A free GBA emulator with link cable support?! It couldn't be better. Simple UI with powerful features. Simply 5 stars. Perhaps the dev could add controller support, retroachievements, and even online multiplayer in the future?

edit: the linking only works for 2 player and wont accept 4 players. but it's still a good emulator after searching for the best way to play with cable link on an emulator, I stumble across this gem. I was hesitant but I found out it really works and it's not laggy.

No button mapping features. No controller detection. No aspect ratio options, no emulator settings, no shaders.Overall, not retro handheld friendly. Premium features locked by in app purchases limits family sharing if you own multiple retro handheld devices. Extremely limited, when considering 4$ asking price. Clearly unfinished. I am hoping for a more fleshed out update. Fingers crossed 🤞

UPDATE FEB/22: I LOVE IT! 💕 OLD REVIEW: I like it a lot. So far its modern interface is nice but it's missing some functions from the My Boy project (mainly gamepad key mapping, which for me is very important since I'm a gamepad user).

One of the only GBA emulators that does link cables well. It seems like a nice light emulator. There are definitely better emulators with more features and no paywall (retroarch) but they are often so confusing. So if you want something simple, try this app. Only request is cloud saves.

Great emulator! Love it to bits. My review last time was 4 stars because I thought the app didn't have a feature where I could export my save file, but boy was I wrong. Screw what I said about Google Drive Sync, this emulator is perfect!

I just don't understand why I can't force all my savefiles to the savefiles folder, i don't want to bother doing the recommended method. Give my quick save and load buttons, i don't want to press absolutely nothing because of my save-aholics or something else and a single saveslot, i wouldn't care for the 3 others. I play Colin McRae rally 2.0, so i need quick saving and loading. The Philippine exchange is awful.

As someone who loved using MyBoy as a mobile emulator, LinkBoy is a great successor. I hope more features get added soon, such as link connection with other GBA emulators on PC such as Visual Boy Advance (or maybe it already does, I just keep getting errors when I try, though), or RetroAchievements support.

Very happy to see my go-to GBA emulator refreshed! I'm especially glad that it finally gives you access to the saves folder, which is extremely helpful for backup up/restoring saves. I only have 2 minor requests which were in MyBoy: On the layout screen, I'd love if touching the gameplay screen gave some options like integer scaling and centering the screen. I also feel the smallest option for the buttons is still a little too big, I wish it could go at least 2 ticks smaller. Thanks!

Link Boy, the successor to My Boy!, is a decent GBA emulator with smooth performance and good compatibility, but it lacks key features that made its predecessor great. One major drawback is the limited video options there’s no full-screen mode, and customization is minimal. While features like save states, fast-forward, and link cable emulation work well, the overall experience feels barebones compared to other emulators.

Going into the options (three horizontal vertical bars) when in gameplay always rotates the screen to landscape, even if you have selected portraits in the settings. Requesting a fix when possible. :) reply: I think it may be because I am using portrait mode while laying on my side, leading the emulator to think it was in horizontal mode? I have already locked auto rotation system wide though.

Have to give it a low rating, right now, at least. The UI is very nice, a step up from MyBoy!, and it seems to perform better generally speaking too, but unfortunately it lacks essentially everything that made me choose MyBoy! over it's competitors in the first place. No physical controller support, no cheat options, it's very lacking in the settings/customization department as whole. Hopefully future updates will fix these nitpicks, and if so, I will absolutely be upping my rating on it.

The 1 feature that would make this a 5 is if you can open up 2 games running at the same time and switch between them, to be able to play multiplayer with yourself. That was my favorite feature from my boy. edit update happened here's the 5 star..... just add local Bluetooth play now edit 2 oh yeah that's my bad g, I meant for ios. I have it on both so I forgot

I absolutely love this emulator for one reason only: free link cable emulation. I have been looking for a free emulator with link cable emulation for a while now but they all cost money. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is the disability to manually save your state without paying $4 for it. But other than that thing, this is an amazing emulator and can't wait to see it grow!
