It's a fascinating app, but I recommend these modifications to make it better: 1. Make the app language can differ from my native language. 2. An option to record and play my voice during shadowing. 3. I found a glitch when I play videos on my phone storage that makes the video disappear and only the subtitles are displayed. 4. There's a problem with the built-in file explorer. I can't find my files easily. If you please add an option to use the phone file explorer, it would be better. Thanks

The app is good. It plays videos with subtitles perfectly. The downside of it is that it can't to the next video in the directory when it finishes playing. I have to play the next video manually. There should be and option in the settings to enable the media player to go the next video. Also the files are sorted only in lexically descending order. No option to change the sorting order. There should be such option to sort ascending, descending, date and so on with ascending order as the default.

It's a good app and really have great potential, I love it. But I want to point out some minus, 1. It has glitch when I open mp3 file and I want open srt file manually. 2 adding feature to open multi subtitle manually. 3 adding feature to skip blank subtitle. 4 add ui customization. 5 adding controller to move/repeat previous sentence

2024: Anyone has the problem? Something changed in YouTube, they show this big advert banner under the video playing. On Android 9 all works fine, but on Android 5 since yesterday the translated subtitles disappeared and also the Lingotube bottom bar is the settings completely gone on Android 5. That was on Lingotube 1.72. I clean uninstalled and installed latest 1.84 on Android 5 but issue remains. YouTube messed up soemthihg. 2021: Wonderful. Finally somebody had done it.

This application is good, but it has some problems. Users should be able to choose the video quality. It should also have different voices for different genders and ages; A woman's voice for female speakers, a man's voice for male speakers, and children's voices for young characters. During YouTube translation, original sounds such as music and car noises should be retained, while other background sounds should be muted."

Good App but my problem with this app is that it struggles to translate the foreign language. I have also noticed that it sometimes(most of the time if i'm being honest) it focuses more on the on the background music than the actual words being spoken. It doesn't translate some sentences and leaves it in the foreign language. Good overall

I logged in youtube in your app, but when search video, It shows both sub and non-subtitle video, please add option to search only subtitle video. Or please add option or button toogle the url bar, for user search captioned videos himself. The app is super useful for learner, speaker, rapper, ... Edit: though I turn it on, it still return seach contain non-subtitle videos

I recommend changing the dictionary to Google Translate. Then you can save whatever phrases you wish using Google and export them to Google sheets and perhaps then Anki. Even without these modifications, it is a very useful subtitle app that can auto pause every few moments. I am using it for Japanese videos like Nakata University, which is very fast and hard to understand without this help. Excellent app.

Worked well until a couple of days ago - when the translations for the subtitles on most videos suddenly disappeared - or would stop being provided after just a few minutes. If you get it fixed quickly, I will change my rating to 4 or 5 stars - hell I would be happy to pay a little bit for this app if it always worked. Until then, it has to be one star.

Hi, can you please add an important feature that would be very helpful for language learners. The feature is an option for the video to auto pause just before the caption disappears for a specific amount of seconds specified by the user, then auto resume. That will allow us to compare between the two captions if there is something we couldn't understand. I hope you reply to my review and tell me you are working on it. That would make me so happy.

Amazing app, only would like to have an option to pay 5 bucks or something to remove ads forever. Also sometimes translations that should take up 3-4 lines are inserted into one line and then the next lines have no translations which is weird. Apart from that, please if you ever think about abandoning this, open source it before you do. This app shouldn't be lost, it's a really cool tool for language learning.

It works well, but I have to put in my data preferences every single time I use it, and there isn't a reject all option (which might not actually be legal) so I have to go through each vendor individually every single time. It's a right pain, and it's unnecessary, no other app does this. Makes me suspicious about if they're selling our data, or if the app is just a data scam.

This is the best application to learn any language through videos. It has helped me a lot to improve my level, and one of the best features I found in this app is that it allows me to read the subtitles as whole sentences. However, many bugs appear when I turn on the complete sentence mode, and I hope you fix them as soon as possible.

Fantastic concept but HORRIBLE execution. Subtitles are often wrong (even on videos with dual subs); Video controls are really finicky and often unresponsive; Completely unremovable tutorial prompts; No option to adjust video quality; Playback seek can ONLY be done on a line-by-line basis which is 100% useless for any realistic conversation; Video window is not centred. Genuinely wanted to like it but got way too frustrated. Will check back in a year to see if it gets better.

App is perfect makes the process of learning languages insanely fast and has a lot of options to make watching videos in foreign languages a even more effective learning method. Only problem I ran into seems to be that when I watched a video it had subtitles in both my target language and English but the app still used machine generated subtitles for some odd reason. This however rarely happens and the app is perfect for learning languages very efficiently 👍.

Another useless app that does not do what you want it to. It does not take foreign audio and translate it into English captions like it promises. I've tried for multiple hours trying to get any kind of response from the app. Nothing happens. A completely useless product. Do not waste your time.

Good app. Some suggestions: 1- add a feature that allows useres to add notes on the subtitle. I'd like to put some notes about grammar usage..etc. 2- a feature to save sentences (subtitles) into built-in flashcards would be super helpful. (Preferably with spelling check feature) 3- a recorder to compare your pronunciation to a native speaker one. Thanks a lot for all the effort 👍

I like it when it works. Subtitles don't always load and I've had to reinstall the app several times to get it to work. While watching a video with the subtitles/transcript displaying, if I go to the search bar and start typing, it will continually interrupt my typing by popping the transcript back up.

This app is a dream. Ive only used it for a few minutes but It has so many.cool features. I don't have to manually double click the rewind button to catch a subtitle. It has bookmarks so u don't lose ur place in a long video. Only negatives is of doesn't use the non-ad versions of YouTube but I can live with it. Suggested improvements would be a way to save difficult words like lingq does and have it exportable

Es ist fantastisch! This is the smallest but mightiest download I've ever made! Not only great for getting back into a language you may have taken in the past, but also opens up a whole world of videos to watch like all the free anime on YouTube! Works flawlessly sofar and tons of customization for fonts and setup. Plus a really nice way of playing fill in the blank sentences while watching stuff for learning. 10/10 recommend!
