I am really disappointed by this update. While somethings have been improved (like the cross references actually work now), there are to many downsides to it. I miss the simplicity of the old version. For instance, it takes more clicks to get to your highlighted verses, and it no longer shows a preview of the highlighted verses. That in of itself was a HUGE feature that I used daily when searching for a verse. Ultimately the layout is busier and distracting. Its a no for me. I am so bummed.

I love this app. It loading time from a cold start is significantly faster than most of the Bible apps out there. The layout is simple and efficient, especially how it integrates with Study Bible contents. The buttons for charts, maps, highlighted articles are conveniently placed inline to tap if desired. Commentary and footnotes are on a separate tab so not to clutter the reading area. Another mention of the design is the excellent choice of contrast colors for readability. Update 10/9/2018 the app keeps losing the downloaded content that I need to redownload so I can use them office.

KJV Bible app WAS easy to use, intuitive and responsive. I use it all the time; in fact it is pretty much my only Bible I don't see well and the large-print Bible is too big to lug around. EDIT: However I am disappointed with the new (2022) version. All the "upgrades," bells and whistles, only serve to slow it down when I'm searching for a familiar text. Very disappointed and sad.

Some aspects of the update are very disappointing. The app no longer keeps the phone from going into sleep mode while reading. The entire screen used to be clear for reading. Now there are widgets in the way. I just downloaded the Tecarta KJV app (I saw an NIV and NKJV as well, I think), and it has the old interface, so I'm happy with that. ------ Does all of the basics quite well. Nice navigation and display. Allows notes to be synched. Just preferred the look and feel to all of the other apps.

Trying to do Bible studies and constantly getting interrupted by ads is not a good experience. I've used this app for years, before the name change, and the ads weren't intrusive like they are now. I'm uninstalling. I can get a much better experience using my phone's Internet browser to Google everything, because most Bible sites don't force you to sit through 30 second ads every few minutes to read the word of God. Edit: I also previously bought the ad free version and it's no longer valid

Emailed support with an issue I had. They were fast professional and easy to communicate with. Not only did they fix my issue they did it remotely and emailed me back the same day. I didn't have to send on further documents or explanation. Customer service and support is too notch? Highly recommend This product. Exceptional experience one of the best I've ever received. Thank you

It is the Truth. Updated: the app I started with was offline capable. I could read it anytime, anywhere. After updates & changes it has to have internet to work. I don't always have internet where I live. Thanks for the response, btw. As I said after the update, it wasn't offline anymore as it was before. I also lost my highlights that I had for years. And then it had ads. I paid for my real Bible, a one-time fee, obviously. I stay away from subscriptions.

I bought the original app with no ads but am now forced to see ads unless I pay again? To buy Bible versions I already own? I also want to use ONE default Bible for reading, searching, etc, and only utilize other translations when I choose to compare between scriptures like i was able to in the original app. This app, while beautiful and adding cool features, is all over the place. I prefer and miss the old one. Sometimes, simple is much better in its simplicity to do what you need it to do.

I really liked my app before and was so bummed they made a new one and I couldn't use mine but everything so far that I've seen the changed they did a great job on. The main change I works make would be to remove the touch points from the bottom to somewhere else. I doubt I'll use it and I'd rather have the option to put my Bible front and center.

They have good support. The KJV dramatic audio is very good. I like the underline system. And I like that you can daily select a group of verses that stand out to you and come back to them. So I give it a five-star rating. Also they have a repeat feature that can help with memorization. Thank you very much for serving others with this app. God bless you. Jim Kagin

After using the new design of the app, I find that for the most part it's done well except that I find the blue button at the bottom left of the screen is redudndant and blocks my view of the scripture. The same items are found at the top of the screen. --Update to my post: Thanks to the developer. I found where to turn off these buttons. Thanks.

Edit: I had bought the ad-free version. An update presented in-app ads. I severely complained. They updated their app for me, giving me the option to turn off ads. I revised to 5 stars since I was very satisfied with their response. However, I was told new users would need to pay an annual subscription to remove ads. This seems to be the practice today.

I don't usually give 5 stars on an app, since to me, an app represents perfection. And that's what I've found here. Yes, the free version is ad-supported, but for a little bit every month, you get an ad-free version and pretty much everything you could want in a Bible app: Great devotionals, great features, tons of study Bibles, ***incredible*** note-taking functionality. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

This Bible app has the Spanish and English versions I read (Reina Valera 1960 and King James Version). I also like the daily verse, along with the daily devotional and touch point. Having this Bible app available, apart from my tangible Bible books, has been so helpful, like when I'm reading at night or when I'm in the car and could get car sick. The Word of God is the light to our daily walk. Thank you, God, for your Word!

Though I prefer the original simplicity of "tecarta/Life Bible" with multiple scripture translations and no devotional plans, reading plans etc, this is an excellent app that is made with love. The way I have it set up now, I rarely see the homepage or devotional stuff that I'm not interested in. I do have issues with the fonts not staying as I pick them. I would love to see a light version, that was Bible only with no extra features. Grace and Peace

It's got everything I pretty much need. Although you do get a wide range of bible translations, study bibles, commentaries, and devotionals, they do need to be bought, or have a yearly subscription, in order to use them (the translations can be used freely without purchase when you're online). The app does have a verse, topic, and devotion daily. One feature I really like is the wheel option when selecting books, chapters, and verses, although there are two other options.

Disappointing! This is the "new" app to replace the old? I find it tedious to search for my favorite features which aren't presented, for me, in an intuitive manner. The "old" app had better interface navigation organized so that several features were easy to find. I had no trouble looking for study guides, Bibles, word definitions, & etc. The Strong's Concordance entries in this new app are far less complete! Something got "fixed" that was not broken... but sadly, now it is.

I've been using Tecarta Bible for nearly 15 years now, my first installation was on an iPod Touch. It's consistently been one of the best Bible apps available today. No ads, and the ability to compare versions is very helpful. There's a store that runs sales very often for commentaries, devotionals and versions from top publishers and authors - but Tecarta never pushes you to buy, just informs you that the option is there. I don't know that there's a better Bible app available than this one.

It's my favorite mobile Bible for many years with loads of resources. You can use it on or offline. It has the best cross references and definitions. Touch underlined words to popup related scriptures and touch the asterisk for a word's definition. Audio will read the Bible to you. KJV version is free. You can download other versions and commentaries. With these, you can parallel reference or highlight a scripture and pull multiple interpretations. You can highlight, copy, share scriptures, etc.

It's great to have so many versions of the Bible readily available. There's not always a direct English translation of the words or expressions from the original languages. The different phrasings can be eye opening. Expanding the reader's understanding of what is being communicated by the message. Highlighting any word will trigger a pop-up that will offer a link to a dictionary or the Strong's Concordance (purchased). The latter shows the original language word and meaning.
