I really like this version of Librera! I have it on my e-ink device and it's so nice. But I hate the ads so I bought the Pro version, unfortunately the Pro for some reason is awful, the read menu is missing, it's ghosting like crazy. It's like it is two different versions. I just want this exact version without ads.

The "screen flipping" feature is not working inside the app. I'm forced to do that the hard way: open file path at "file manager" , then flip the screen , then open the book using your app "librera". Please reverse to the very old versions , the flipping feature was working.

It has been an amazing experience using librera. With so many features that are user friendly. For years I've had issues with reading pdf files in raw format. But I just discovered a feature that lets me reflow my pdf file and read seamlessly without having to first convert to other formats. Librera is the bestπ€©π€©π€©π€©

It is awesome! It even have Google drive! It have profiles! There are tons of options! Interface needs to be studied, but I like to do it. Can't find out how to remove dictionary application from selection menu. Some of applications are not useful or duplicated several times. Text selection in dark mode is barely visible. But application still is awesome. It replaced two others.

This app isn't easy to use, and the main functionality that I was looking for (reading text) didn't work very well. The worst parts are that the voice can't go very fast, and it requires you to highlight a section, then click 'read'. That functionality is terrible if you want it to read more than a page at a time.

Epud reading is great experience! Lots of customizations and we'll laid out. PDF relfow does not work at all. The button does not initiate any off reflow process. This is disappointing. Really was looking for an all in one reader app that has a good PDF reflow ability. I have a Moto e5 cruise phone that I'm using this on.

Great app in many ways...lots of important features like blue light filter mode and text-to-speech. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'd recommend the app if you're planning on taking notes in the app though-- my bookmark notes were deleted and there doesn't seem a way to get them back.

Good app, but every time I exit the app there is a loud verbal advertisement that I can't silence. I have to quick clear gecache o my phone before I wake everybody. Other than that, it's the first app I've found that I can successfully use bookmarks that don't disappear when I close the book. Get rid of the ads at the end & I'd change it to 5 stars.

Only one major problem I'm having. It's a great app and all. But even ever I try to change the voice in settings it doesn't go away it gets stuck. Then when I play the voice the menu gets stuck. And sometimes when I listen to some books etc the voice just stops completely and acts like it buffers and freezez. Plz fix this issue. Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge. I'd like to use this app to read my Japanese Light Novels like Re:Zero, etc. Thanks.

Update 8-5-2019: The new update does not work well on my phone. It takes ten times longer to load than the Feb 2019 version I originally reviewed does and it gets stuck changing pages in epub format. I ended up deleting the app off my phone and finding a old version on APKPURE. March 2019: The ability to put this ereader in full screen with the options of seeing battery percentage and time allow me to set it in full screen mode and use a dedicated 6" phone as the perfect size ereader in my opinion. In full screen, I turn the device on and my ereader is there, don't even have to see anything but the app itself period. The developers asked for reviews for development purposes. The tags feature is so hard to find that my first review complained about a lack of the feature. It would also be welcome if the app picked up on and used the tags from Calibre now since that app has become a standard on desktops and laptops. In fact that would be the perfect addition to the app being its ability to read the tags placed by users in Calibre within the app itself. Other than that I can't think of anything I would change. Love the app, hope you can make the Calibre tag integration happen

Feature request and great review! I have one small request. Using my 10-in Android tablet, I can only hold on to the very small edges without scrolling a page around or moving to the next page. If you could add dead zones, gutters if you will, to the edges, left and right so that fingers can overlap the text slightly before getting closer to the middle and activating selection or page turn features. Ignore inputs on the left and right edges if within 20% of the edge as an option.

It's just OK. No way to edit document or file info such as title or author like other readers allow. Reading view is good and easy to work around, but I'd describe the main library interface as "nerdy", showing a lot of options and controls without a lot of effort to clean or streamline the UI. It works, it does most of what I like, and the problems aren't deal-breakers.

The reading settings do not work. It will only display justified text. I prefer left justify which doesn't work so I tried all others including center and none of them work. If I change from portrait to landscape it changes your place in the book, and when you go back to portrait it doesn't even put you back to where you were. Completely unusable.

App is slow to start and loading book pages sometimes lag. There is no manual or instructions on using this app anywhere and with so many settings it is hard to know what is what. The app does not open to the book you are reading or the page and the page you left off on as other ebook apps do. The app seems to also be using a lot of data - and my ebooks are all in my phone's memory so there is no need for the app to be using my data. There also seems no way to shut that off.

One of the best Reader Apps I've found that is versatile and can do more than I need. At times it can be a bit to technical with options I don't understand so I just try and keep it simple. Once I found a complimentary TTS Voice App that wasn't completely digital sounding I was good to go. Now I use it to read PDF copies of books from time to time or downloaded ebooks from a subscription service. Only reason 4 stars is because it can often be confusing and not so user friendly for simple stuff.

It's good. But, detecting some starts and stops for sentences leaves it inconsistent and the voice is pretty robotic. My main issue is that it can't read with blank space along the center of a page which is common for textbooks in PDF form. It can't seperate the two sections and reads the different paragraphs merged as one. If this was improved, it'd be a major study tool for busy college students on the go.

I've used Librera for about two years and I really have no complaints. It is extremely intuitive for the most part, though copying text can be somewhat finnicky. I cannot comment on some functions, such as text to speech or the dictionary, as I have never used these features. I would recommend that you download the app through F-Droid solely for the sake of your privacy though. Overall, it is the best "reader" app that I have used so far.

Great app. Two things though, I can't seem to choose a particular voice from my phone, like Google's, only Samsung's will work. And while voice reading, it doesn't highlight the word that's being read, that would be really nice if there's a way to do it. Does the pro version offer more features?

I absolutely love this app. Everything is customizable and doesn't charge a fee to do so like other apps. From the font, size, color, scrolling options, brightness, and so much more. It found and consolidated all of my previously downloaded books automatically and painlessly. But the best part of this app is the included widget, it turns my homescreen into an actual library, displaying each of my open books by their covers and takes me to each individual book from the home screen. Love this app
