Previously rated 4 star... Original review... Had to pay for the remote, but so worth it. Wish I could use it to turn on the TV... But I get it, it needs to be connected to the internet... UPDATE: I don't know what happened! This app used to be so wonderful! Now it's constantly disconnecting and making me re-sync to the internet! The arrow buttons don't work when I need them to... I'm mad because I paid for the lifetime use of this remote and it's now garbage! Very upset!

The app worked fine and connected to my TV and worked so I bought the lifetime subscription hoping that it would continue working cause I had just broke my remote. But nope, after a day of having the app it decided that it didn't want to connect to my TV no more and I haven't been able to control it for days. This entire app is a scam and I want my money back.

This is a poo app. The "free" controllable remote only lasts for 45 seconds right after first opening the app, a timer immediately starts at the top of the screen once you close the add. Then INSISTS that you pay for access/usage. If I already own the TV I shouldn't have to pay to control it with the phone, that I also own.. Waste of time and I'm not going to waste my money. 0 stars for 0 control ability. And if I see another "we offer a 3 day trial" response...

Didn't even get to pairing my TV before I got bombarded with so many ads it was crazy. Then I saw it had a time for free remote. Garbage money grabbing app. Don't use. Edit to respond to publisher: it's fine to have some ads but the amount of ads is just greed. You don't need 3 full length video ads before even setting up. From the other reviews it's obvious your money hungry. There are other remote apps that have small or low frequency ads that work fine.

Terrible. This is a buggy, slow, poorly designed mess. Buy a smart TV thinking that it will have basic smart functionality. Nope, you need to get the app, fine. Install app, you realize no one checked out the usability, nor basic understanding of what the customer wants. You have to pay a SUBSCRIPTION for USING THE NECESSARY COMPONENTS!!!! Guess what LG, 40$ gets me a chromecast with a remote, KMA with $5/ month. And I don't have to deal with your poorly designed app. TV is great, app sucks.

It was a pain when you had the limited version. After a few clicks, an ad. So we just got the full paid version, by mistake, & it doesn't want to connect now. Constantly get "connect to wifi" or the searching for devices just keeps going. Very disappointed. Doesn't look like getting a refund is going to happen.

Can't use it without paying. Downloaded, connected to TV, used for a minute, now it doesn't work. Every time you click on one of the buttons the ad pops up for you to upgrade and it doesn't even do what you clicked. Bad practice. Terrible app. Don't offer something for free without actually making the free option usable. I'll just glue my remote to the coffee table I guess. I don't know. I'll figure it out.

Zero functionality on my TV; does not turn on, no volume control, channels do not change. I thought $21.95; not bad for a lifetime of use, well that would have been true if it were actually useful or functioned in any way. I requested help through the app developers and I haven't heard a peep out of them. So here I am, hopefully helping someone else decide not to make the same mistake. Update: I have contacted them for the 3rd time and still no response whatsoever.

Free version has few uses. Basically useless.. Ad pops up everytime you go to change channel or raise/lower volume... and I get paid apps. I support developers everyday. But price is steep for monthly/yearly membership and no lifetime membership available which is disappointing. So I would not recommend this app. There are way better alternatives in play store for lg remote.

Was able to actually use the home key and the volume key once and was able to get to Netflix and test the pause key. After that, every time I touched anything it brought up the ad for premium subscription. Sorry no thanks. Also before it brought up the premium ad screen, it asked me to rate it and was pre-filled with 5 stars. Let me have a chance to get it to work first & maybe I'll rate it well. Instead, just uninstalled it. If I eventually try again and it works I'll re-rate it.

Garbage! I don't tend to write reviews and even less so bad ones; however, this ap is absolute garbage. I downloaded this app after receiving an LG tv without a remote, to connect the tv to my ps4. After setting it up and turning everything on it told me to watch an ad. So I did. Minutes later I went to turn down the volume, only to discover I could only lower it by 10 clicks before it wanted me to watch yet another ad.... I'm also not about to pay 20 dollars just to adjust my volume.

I wouldn't mind using the app either ads. But every time I try to use it, the screen pops up asking me to upgrade! There's not even an option to turn down the offer. I hit the X to go back to the remote and attempt to lower the volume or whatever, and there goes the offer to upgrade screen again! Ridiculous! Do not waste time to download this app!

I love my LG OLED 4K TV. I did a lot of reviewing, hands on with tv OS to settle on LG. I just love how it works, on many levels. But the phone app is GARBAGE! Connecting was straightforward, but then the ads every few seconds so you are searching through menus and suddenly, you clicked on an add and half the time, you have to start/stop the app, deal with another ad, just to get back to where you were. $6/month?! Just to watch stuff on my phone on my tv?!! Are you kidding me? F#@k you.

I downloaded this app and opted to pay for the full version to circumvent the ads. It has not been able to connect to my TV. I've contacted support and their responses have been inconsistent at best and their few suggestions have been completely unsuccessful at remedying my problem. I requested a refund as the app has been utterly useless and they've since ceased all contact with me. Don't waste your time or money on this app.

Why even have a "free" option, when it can't be used? Like others, I dodged the review begging (1st one as soon as it opens! ) then loud ads, then hit a wall. Could not use it further without agreeing to a premium option. Closed the attempted mugging hidden x appears, rinse and repeat. I never even got to try the functionality. So no, I'm not buying it. Ironically, had there been no free option, I would have happily paid at least a month to try it out.

I bought the pro version, what a mistake. It only works if you have your tv already turned on. So you have to use your tv remote to turn the TV on and then you can use the app. That makes absolutely no sense at all. Plus, it doesn't have the ability to control anything but the tv in 1 input mode, as soon as you switch to your firestick, or receiver etc.. it's useless. I emailed their support to ask for a refund and never heard from them.

It's not very often that I leave a review, but this app is unusable unless you are willing to pay monthly after your 2k + OLED purchase. I was able to press two buttons before it locked me from doing anything. Now every time I try to move to a letter on the tv, an add shows for purchasing the monthly subscription. Every. Single. Time. And doesn't even respond onto the tv. If your like me and sell TV's, recommend Sony all the way. I don't know if I can keep selling TV's with a problem like this.

TLDR: This has more ads than a play to win gatcha game The first thing I see when I open the app is adds, I clicked on two of them trying to find the right button. Where was it? A 1cm tall strip right at the top saying proceed to app. How can you do people dirty like that. You want a subscription as well? Thank goodness I looked at the very top again and saw the near invisible X to actually get to the remote.

Why is there a monthly fee? The app should be free to use for the very basic control functions. If there's an upkeep cost, then you should ask your current users what they would expect in return for $(insert amount) per month to help with the app's upkeep. Maybe advertisements are not avoidable. If so, put small ads along the top and/or the bottom of the screen with the remote controls in the center. There is no need for those fullscreen annoying & intrusive ads.

Worked for a few minutes and then quit working. Not able to connect to tv again! Update: still not working well. If app sits idle for more then a minute it doesn't work. Have to close app and open back up and click to connect to the tv to use controls for a minute. Email has been sent to developer.
