update: this app no longer works. i switched to Earphone Mode Off which does work. this app only worked for a couple of days. original review: Nearly purchased a new phone because the speakers and microphone we're both broken. This app save me hundreds of dollars! Thank you for a wonderful, simple, and effective app.

Heck yeah! I accidentally sprayed water right before bed that hit near my audio jack and im guessing got inside and when i woke up, my headphone mode was stuck on, tried cleaning it out to no success, i found this app and literally ONE click into the app, problem is officially solved. Hopefully its a temporary solution and hope the paper towel i have wedged into the port will suck up any left over moisture causing the jack to short thinking its plugged in which i wont have to "cheat" it anymore!

Some apps, such as Youtube, have been thrown off, and no longer play audio when certain devices are connected, switching to a different output (or not at all) when they connect. Audio often only plays through one speaker. The app is also relatively ineffective at switching outputs to begin with, and requires fiddling with and repeatedly reconnecting audio devices while switching to actually work. Except now I'm forced to use it because the apps' outputs don't switch back even after uninstalling.

Works Good on an HTC U12+ (unlocked) using a Generic Type C USB Power & headphone jack. ( Ihave tried several and most work but one really works WELL NO additional NOISE OR STATIC Meaning the adapter I am using Can supply Power to the phone while listening to videos or music on thew phone at same time and NOT worrying about the battery DIEING The only drawback on this program seems that the AUTO switch that is there does NOT seem to do anything. This is ok with me Because on the PLUS side there are NO ADVERTS in it at all. Yous just have to make sure when you unplug your headphone that you hit the Speakers button in the APP to switch back to internal speakers and also have to choose Headphones manually as well . Other than the couple little things I mention Its well worth look at because it WORKS

I bought a new phone that had a headphone jack issue (kept thinking headphones were in when they were not) & I couldn't exchange the phone in time so I was stuck with this issue. 5 minutes into videos it would think I'd have headphones in. Or during call I wouldn't be able to hear because of the headphone mode. This app have saved the day. It was worth the $5 to upgrade the app for the auto toggle. A lot of people are griping but I'm happy to pay for the features I need vs cost of a NEW phone.

Their bare-bones approach leaves the user scratching their heads, and the actual app doesn't match the images on the download page. Only partially worked on my Moto6 headphone issues, and completely hijacked everything else audio. Uninstalled before a video conference just in case, but it still silenced the mic. Had to reboot after the uninstall to get the studio back. More features in the paid version? Yeah ... No.

The headphone port on my phone has been acting weird lately and I couldn't hear anything through my headphone speakers even though it says the headphones are plugged in and they work fine when plugged into other devices. I looked up possible solutions and found this app. I don't know how it works, but I can hear sound through my headphones again. Excellent app

Installed because I would like to have it automatically switch to phone mic only when connected to certain Bluetooth devices (such as my boats BT receiver that I have to disconnect from when I need to answer a call) not all devices such as my BT headset. I did not get the auto upgrade because it wasn't clear if it was an option to select only certain devices with which to force phone mic. Please let me know if this is the way it works and I will upgrade. Thanks.

Amazing app. Ever since my phone auto upgraded to Android 9, Android's DND doesn't work. I need to have silent personal video calls while I'm at work, and DND stopped silencing video calls. So I've tried many apps that call themselves "mute" or "silent". One even had "absolute & total silence", but they're all liars. They do NOTHING to mute video calls. But your app is perfect. I just hit the "headphones" button, and my video call is instantly silent. Thank you!!!

This app needs instructions. I ended up pushing buttons trying to figure out how they worked and couldn't make anything happen. Then when I uninstalled the app, I noticed issues with media playback on my phone; if I used my Bluetooth headset then turned it off, no sound would play on the phone! It was like the buttons I had pressed in the app were still having some effect after the app was uninstalled! Very upsetting; an app should always revert the phone back to original settings upon uninstall. I spent a long time troubleshooting before having the epiphany that this app may have caused the problem. Sure enough, when I reinstalled it and looked at the debug screen, it was set to only play through headphones. Very disappointed.

Great for the situational setup you want for, say, a vocal recording or karaoke session. Having the option to listen to music via bluetooth while still plugging a headset microphone makes this app a life-saver, in that regard. This app will be unstoppable if it allowed me to choose which input device as well, as I like to sing into a USB microphone while my headset is plugged into a 3.5mm jack.

I need an app that can route audio. Inputs and outputs being customized. I want to control which input is being used and which output is being used. This app has an interface that looks like it can do those things but the"buttons" don't act as buttons. They're not selectable. I really want to buy the full version but I can't justify a purchase because I don't think this app does what I need.

Samsung S7 Notifications (including alarm) get routed to the speaker even if connected to wired or bluetooth headphones. I get up early every morning and use my phone as an alarm clock. I connect a wired or bluetooth pillow speaker so I won't wake my wife. So far, Lesser AudioSwitch is the only app I have found that automatically and reliably routes all audio to an external speaker when connected speaker, and routes to the internal speaker again when the external speaker is disconnected. Setup and configuration is very simple. I'm very pleased.

Lesser AudioSwitch is the only app that fixed my og Pixel XL running Android 9. My phone stopped playing media and notification sounds suddenly. Another app confirmed that the phone thinks I have headphones plugged in. I installed this app based on a Reddit post. The app warned me that it doesn't work on Android Pie, but I thought I'd try it anyway, and thankfully it worked. I'm hoping to get a few more months out of my Pixel while I save up for a new phone.

My phone jack is broken on my phone. I have tried multiple apps to try and get my phone to switch audio from headphones to my speaker. Some apps work, some don't. This one worked the best, but there's still a problem. I can't use my internal microphone for some reason. I have tried different settings on this app, and it still doesn't work. Other than that, the app looks good visually, and I like that there are many different options of where to switch the audio.

My phone got stuck in headset mode & won't play any media sounds over speaker, so I need an app to force my phone out of headset mode. This does the trick! I tried out a few apps, this one is the best. I can switch between speaker & Bluetooth like I normally do without having to manually go into the app to select the output each time. Phone, media, alarms etc all work pretty much like normal, other than a little audio quality issues on phone calls. Very helpful until I can get my phone fixed.

This really helped! I broke my headphone jack in my phone and, in my attempt to get it out, I jammed it further in making it impossible to change the setting on my phone. I thought all hope was lost and I'd have to get a new phone. But no! It works perfectly with everything. And it doesn't give you random ads either. All around great app. Thank you!

I love this app because it allows me to use external audio devices to record and is the only app I've come across that works. However, the interface confuses me for some reason. It's only after trial and error that I'm able to get the configuration that I want. But it's only a small drawback (and a quick fix from a developer standpoint) when considering the overall how well the app functions. Thanks!

I bought the "premium" version to use the automatic function, but it doesn't work consistently and is not reliable. It also confused my phone and caused it to flip between speaker and bluetooth audio randomly. Also, this app could really use a better explanation of what the buttons do in the app and in the notification pulldown menu controls. No clear instructions on how to properly use this app.

It was ok. The latest update adds the buttons back to the notification, as it was before it became a $5 app. Unfortunately the buttons don't switch between the modes, but take you to the app with a pay button. Now I understand they'll respond saying how they have expenses, well, $5 is a price for an actually useful app (e.g. aquamail), not something that needs a lot of work and had minimal functionality.
