The game is just like I remembered it to be: fun. HOWEVER, it started to crash at random points on certain levels. This got really annoying as I couldn't complete the game. Later I try to open it and the screen is covered in pixels and colored lines with the sound running in the background. Please fix it! Otherwise this app is broken and a waste of money, SO DON'T BUY IT!!!

I love lego star wars so much. The game itself gets a perfect 5/5. But after getting it on my Samsung Galaxy a42, the game crashes consistently in the "Retake Theed Palace" level. I've cleared my cache, I've even deleted the game and reinstalled it. All to no avail. It's busted. I'd appreciate any help I could get here cause it's quite possibly my system. But seeing as my system is brand new, I feel like it's a bug.

It's cool but sometimes there's an issue where the music is gone and there's this awful static sound in the background. It happens pretty often too please check it out! Update: it is STILL happening. Please fix! Update: it's been several months since the original post and STILL there's this awful static sound while playing the game PLEASE fix it it's a fun game no reason for a bug like that.

This is a good port but is absolutely broken. It constantly crashes, it's impossible to adjust the volume, the in game ai is really messed up and there is also a high possibility to encounter game breaking glitches which entirely prevent you from completing the level. And to make it even worse if you try and reinstall it to make it run better it deletes any saved data. This is a complete disappointment, especially from a huge gaming company do not waste your time on this.

Edit: Most recent app update, seemingly posted the day after my review fixed the crash I observed. Progress Blocking crash: Episode 1: Chapter 5 cannot be completed. You'll have to open a door using 5 buttons. No problems there, but when you go through the door, the app crashes entirely. I've tried several ways to get by this including sprinting to that point and by clearing everything up until this point. It always crashes upon entering the door.

Hate giving this a low rating. Loved playing this when it was out on Nintendo DS. One of my all time favorite games so when I saw it on the Google Play store I had to jump on it. Unfortunately, the game is ridden with numerous display issues making several levels extremely difficult to play. On top of that, several characters are reduced to only foot shadows as they're otherwise invisible. If you happen to be on levels with no floor due to glitch, good luck finding your way around. please fix!!

Relatively solid port, but there are some things that keep it from being great. For one, there are a lot of graphical issues, such as camera clipping on cutscenes, 2d sprites having improper cutoffs (this is really apparent on the studs and character portraits), and I even had a vertex explosion once. Controller support is iffy as well, with the inability to change characters in free play without use of the touch screen. There are also basically NO options, so you can't rebind controls.

In episode 1 level 5 Theed Palace it crashes right after every character stands on a button to open a door and as soon as you walk through the door crash back to home screen. I haven't been able to play any of the other movies yet a bit frustrating since I just paid for the app and cannot get through the first episode. Please fix these bugs that people are giving feedback on. Otherwise it's a wonderful classic game.

Can't use the red/green push switches! I love that I can play this part of my childhood on the go. Although it has always been a buggy experience, there's new issues that prevent me from proceeding at all. I can't use any of the red/green switches that you push in a circle. I've tried restarted the game, switching control modes, etc. I just phase right thru them like they don't exist.

Game's a classic. However, as other users have mentioned, there are many issues and bugs that need to be fixed. Connecting a controller rarely works, and during certain chapters the game will crash (for example Episode 1, Chapter 5 when you're walking in the halls of the palace). This makes it impossible to progress in some episodes. For now I recommend getting a copy of the PC version if you can, or getting your hands on one of the PlayStation / Xbox versions.

This is awesome! A classic on Android! Its fun to play on the go and play on the bigger screen when I come home. Its better graphics than games from that era. However, it does some have input delay when broadcasting wirelessly to my TV which im fine with. Something I didn't like at first was the game would crash on certain levels. While I have not tried all the buggy levels, I did manage to pass episode 1 completely and be able to unlock Darth Maul. A must buy for a Lego Star Wars fan.

I love this game but as you may have seen from previous reviews, most of episode 4 is unavailable because of a glitch on chapter 2. Edit: The glitch has been fixed and the game is now playable. Couldn't be happier. Further edit: Floors on several levels will not load. Just in episode one the problem was heavy on chapters 2, 3, and 6. During the maul fight the only point where the floor wasn't near completely invisible was right at the start and the end. Still playable, but really takes away. 😑

This is a remarkably poor port of an otherwise excellent game. Almost every level suffers from missing textures, and a few levels have nearly all textures missing. You're just a character floating in a void surrounded by a handful of floating LEGO bricks. I don't understand how such a badly broken and buggy game can be knowingly sold. Other than the game being so disorientingly glitchy, It's a tremendously fun game at its core. It's just a shame they made it so ugly.

This port could be great, but is let down by some extreme issues with the sound mixing, graphics, and textures. Notably, the cutscenes are rather janky, and a ton of the textures won't load properly in a lot of the levels. The UI is also slightly offset. Droid noises, magna guard staff sounds, and the energy beams in the Darth Maul level especially are too loud and droning. The game very much needs an update in order to fix all this.

It is astonishing just how many things won't load in properly, across both devices I tested this on. Buildings on Coruscant, some of the ships battling over Coruscant, the Tantive IV around Leia and Antilles, C-3P0... About the only level I've played so far that works properly is level 1 of Episode 1. And I'm pretty sure I've gotten more graphically demanding games to WORK on both devices. All you wanna do is finish a game you never completed as a child... All you get is stuff not loading in.

I would like to put 5 stars, but there are just too many problems within the game. The game loads up fine, but in the hub and on some levels, the ground is invisible. Also, C3PO is completely invisible for me throughout the whole game, that is not all of the errors I have encountered, but those are the two errors that can be and are very annoying while playing. Please fix this, it's been like 2 years.

Great game, BUT IT KEEPS CRASHING, and the graphics keep bugging out to where I can see through the floor. Otherwise it's Playable and it's pretty awesome despite those 2 flaws. Okay it KEEPS crashing its not even like a once a day thing no it's a problem and the graphics don't fully loaded so you're seeing through the walls. I wanna play but having it crash every 5 seconds ruins it.

This game used to work fine... But a few months ago this random glitch where textures on doors and in a few levels are just invisible. I've erased all my data multiple times in desperation to try to fix it but it doesn't work... If anyone knows a fix for this what the heck is going on then I would love that. I would like to thank anyone who took the time to my review, and once again, any help on why this glitch is happening/ how to fix it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Played this game years ago and it was perfect. Then I re-download it today and it's awful. It feels unfinished. How do you unfinish a finished game? C 3po is completely invisible and it makes it very hard to complete levels (and hes a main character so hes in a ton of levels!) and most of the floor and background in the game are see through, incomplete or just entirely not there. Very sad to see. I hope they fix these issues

Game is great, but it's clear very little work went into this port. The controls can not be moved on screen, so I find it difficult to get to certain buttons at times. The floor/ground does not render at times, and I wish there was a different way to save. This game only autosaves after completing a level or buying something in the Cantina, and that does not lend itself very well to a mobile game style with shorter sessions. Other than that, it plays like it always has.
