Overall a great experience enhancing an already captivating toy for a toddler. There are some small problems like sounds from the mini games not being stopped when the game finishes - it happens with the train washing game & the sponge sound that doesn't stop is annoying.

Asks for location access (why in the world is this necessary in the first place). Google play services started draining the battery. Uninstalled this app, battery drain gone. And it's a 300 Mb app for controlling a duplo train. I assume the entire control system for a real high speed train doesn't need this amount of space...

Love it! Thank you Lego for producing great toys! The duplo train series are very special as it keeps your kids occupied with the train movement. Not only they can watch it move along the railways, they can also interact with the train by the action bricks. Not enough with that, parents can also control the train through the app. Great!

Laughably too big (300MB), and needs way too many permissions (contacts, camera, location). There is no reasonable explanation for why these are mandatory to use an app to control a toy train with bluetooth. Didn't get past the first load to see if it crashed like everyone else.

Excellent. A dream come true. I used to want a train where I could control. 25years later, I have it for my son. You can control the train and have a mini game. I don't allow my son to use phones but this is an exception as the phone control is like a remote control for the train. Highly interactive! In Lego I trust

Mixed bag. Connected fine, controls working. I can't enter the parents only bit though, because no keyboard appears when the challenge questions are presented. Also, it is unclear how to unlock certain features on the map. Otherwise good so far.

Why bother advertising it as a feature if it doesn't work. App has never opened on any device I own. From Update: followed instructions and still doesn't work on multiple devices from different manufacturers. All devices are 2019 models, well known devices. You need to step up your QA before releases.

I'm also not able to access parental control as there exists no keyboard popping up to allow me to enter the answer. As advised to another customer I tried to remove and reinstall the app but it didn't sort out the issue. I just would like to set the app and have it ready working for when we open the cargo train on Christmas. Pls help. EDIT: I reached out to you over the chat yesterday. 6 times no luck. Each time the chat would drop/freez or would just wait forever. Not good enough for LEGO

Edit: There has been an update today 03/12/19, which has stopped the app crashing! Got it up and running and is really fun to use. The action blocks on the track give you a prompt on screen to start a mini game whic is really interactive. Would recommend getting. 1 star: Got my daughter the train for her birthday and saw that there was an app to go with it. Downloaded the app, and crashes on open everytime on Sony Xperia L3.

As a companion tool to the train set it is amazing, albeit made worse by the recent updates (manual water refill button is now available only in "No Activities" mode which is dumb, my kid likes BOTH refilling the tank at will AND the prompts from the command blocks). As a set of minigames it's... Now that you're letting us play them on demand without the command blocks, why not give them longer play modes? (Finally, I need an app reset button because we found all the stickers and my kid is sad)

Why 200+ mega for a remote? As a programmer, that Is 90% bloat. App Is not a remote controller, app is a lootbox attention bait game which accidentally controls the train Why minigames? As a teacher, they divert the kid from the toy to a mindless numbing grind. As a parent - no. Save your response. Copypasted corporate drivel leaves me unmoved. To think that LEGO, the star of intelligent toys, has fallen this deep.

It works. Parental controls are limited. My son just chooses activities from the list with no engagement to the physical train. Essentialy just playing with my phone. The ability to only acess activities when the train runs over the coloured markers would bring balance to this especialy when a parent is there to move them around. Now option with activities is on or off. With no middleground.

My 2 year olds love it. Hooks up to the train (which is the most popular toy in our house) and you can change the colours on the train via bluetooth and toot the whistle on the phone. It has little games which are cool, but they havent quite got the hang of them yet. I find the app is a great addition when adults are playing with the kids as the adults can work out the app quicker than the kids.

This is an amazing app, my child loves it. And I really hope you don't change the design or how it's run because it's fun and creative. It's really rare to come by apps like this for kids. And how the trains connect is amazing with the bell and all. Keep this app just the way it is. Love it. Edit 2023: Please add all the tracks from the booklets.. I think it's missing some. Also, as before amazing app. :) Such a gem. The developer did well!

It's great. But it doesn't seem to work anymore. It's stuck in the loading screen. Edit: Tried reinstalling several times, restarting my phone, clearing memory etc. , didn't work. The next day worked just fine without any changes. Anyway it's a really fun app, I am enjoying this kind of connectivity in toys.

The main problem we have with the app is that our daughter would rather play the activities in the app than use it to control the train. She would quite happily play the app for an hour and not touch the physical train at all. There is the ability turn off the activities and use the app just as a remote control for the physical train (which is what we initially thought the app was). However it is very easy to turn the activities back on and our daughter has worked that out. I think it would be better if the ability to turn the activities on/off was in the “for parents” section and unable for children to access. That would at least give parents choice as to what their children can use the app for.

Downloaded for purpose of controlling train. So far have one suggestion and one bug. I would suggest that the control lever be up/down rather than left/right. Think this is a more natural interpretation of forward/backward. In terms of bugs - when I go into settings to turn off Sounds / Music / Activities using the slider selector, this works with regards to turning things on/off, but the selector always shows as on, so you never know which one it currently is.

It is really great to control the train using the phone. It is nice that the app provides more than just a remote control. I think more room could be given to the controls, or maybe allow a view which focuses primarily on the "dashboard". And maybe I haven't found it, but a battery percentage indicator would be really nice.

The train app is simply amazing. It enhances the experience of playing with the train sets and offers a few ideas on how to combine tracks. In general a worthwhile addition. A couple side-notes 1. The train itself is a bit on the heavy side and the tracks have to be laid on non-slippery ground for non-app experience. 2. Lego is one of the best things that can happen to a kid (or grown up for that matter) and it's nice to see how the company evolves with to keep track of time and trends!

The app is great. My kids love it. To make it even better please add an option to stop the timer for timed events. The timer breaks the fun for younger kids. Also a play again option would be great to skip the selection process. My younger one loves feeding the construction worker. The selection boxes could be bigger thought. Thanks for the great app.
