Good fun and fairly addictive. Helping with my listening skills. Although there is a more than reasonable selection of songs, I would give it more stars if there were more songs. Overall, a very good app. - Edit: Thanks for the response. I have emailed requesting some songs. I have also changed my review from 3 to 4 stars as I am impressed with the customer support. - Further Edit: Absolutely excellent customer care, the songs I requested have been added, including a rather tricky one. 5 stars!

I love the app! I have explored a couple of language apps and this was one of the first I saw with a 4.9 rating. Which, by the way after using the app I think it is deserving. But a few notes please. 1.It would be wonderful to save your streak at least for a day: sometimes life gets in the way. 2.It would be nice to have a section where the song plays and we see the translation. 3.Improvement on the translations in the activity area.

Excellent idea but the choice of content is poor, with lots of loud piercing music and no simple solo songs and ballads that would be better for listening to a new language. Also, there is no need for distracting videos. Actually, what can be found on YouTube Music when lyrics are available is much more conducive to listening to songs in order to enjoy a language. I don't know if other music programmes have the same.

LingoClip is a language learning app that uses music and lyrics to help users improve their listening comprehension, expand their vocabulary, and boost their grammar skills. With over 10 million users and support for more than 10 languages, it's definitely worth checking out The app offers various game modes, including Choice and Type, as well as Karaoke mode, making learning fun and engaging. It also features a bilingual dictionary, level-up system, progress tracking, and the ability to compet

Great in principle, but the lyrics lag behind the music to the point where unless you can anticipate the lyrics ahead of the actual played words in the video, you cannot learn correctly. Great fun for those that are fluent, but as a language learning app the lag is problematic. 3 plays per day for free is great (5-10 mins), and the app has potential. Just fix the lag (an essential part of the learning element).

App needs option to just listen to music and read the text, often I just want that. Also more features, I use it mostly just to discover music.

Idea is brilliant, Choice mode works great, playback of slow / failed parts managed nice. BUT Type mode is way too strict! Even if I mistype a letter and the fix it with a backspace, it counts as a failure. It seems you (developer company) may not know that people tend to mistype on mobile, then fix either manually or with autocorrect. It is much more slow to pay close attention to every single letter, making it almost impossible to type real time with the song, ruining the whole experience.

it could be okay for other languages but korean and Japanese don't use Roman letters so kinda pointless for those languages until they add the appropriate alphabets. it's a fun concept cause you have to pick out what you're hearing. so it'd be great for improving you're reading and listening skills, if it used the appropriate characters. as it stands, it seems pointless for now....

I love this app and use it daily 😍 It has a decent selection of available music and the UI is easy to use and intuitive. But it's features are limited. My main problem is that I cannot add new words to my vocabulary list and I cannot review vocabulary (by their definitions). I use this app to learn new words, but without vocab flashcards, I cannot do that. Also, the music selection can be expended significantly.

It's a good app. I installed it to have music recommendations in other languages but not much on the learning. I don't look forward to subscribing to the app. It doesn't really make much value ^^" I wish that you could also click on the words of the lyrics and have the meaning or explanation for it. That'll make me want to subscribe fast.

Concept is decent, most of the time lyrics are easy to understand. But there were no instructions on how to play at first, and it says you get to play 3 times but only lets me do one round. Not sure if it's worth it or I should just teach myself songs in Spanish. I have already been doing this. Not sure how helpful one round of lyrics I barely know is for my language skills. There is a decent selection of music although I only knew "La Bamba" in Spanish and it would be nice if it had Martika.

I like the idea, but it at the time I'm reviewing has a completely broken translation feature. so it's listening to music in other language with no easy way to know what's being said. Edit(8/25) I've been told the translation feature is only broken for select languages so experiences may vary. I tested it with some Spanish vocab, and despite it not being the language I wanted to learn, it worked fine. So for most advertised languages it's probably pretty good.

Personally, I think this app doesn't help you to learn the language literally. While you do see the lyrics of a song, you have no idea what it means, no translation is provided for the lyrics. On the other hand, it does train your listening and pronunciation skills, but that's not what I installed the app for. Great concept, but still missing a lot of features. Edit: Thanks for the reply. I know long press the word can translate, but that's just too inconvenient. Translations should be available for every sentence altogether. Translation for each word doesn't help learning the grammar at all.

There was no tutorial at the beginning and that would be helpful. Also doesn't tell you what the words mean, only has you identify individual words in songs. Would be helpful if it had direct translation along with the lyrics, like exactly as it is, not like subtitles. Word for word translations under the karaoke-style lyrics. I guess it's good to supplement your language learning but won't teach you much.

So far so good. 3 songs per day for the free version is understandable and honestly more than enough for me. I also love that translating is available for free and not hidden behind a paywall. The UI and the experience itself is nice and I didn't notice any bugs. Sometimes the lyrics doesn't sync with the song accurately when you go back and forth a lot but that's about it.

So far so awesome. This app is a great way to listen to music. I like that it challenges you to fill in lyrics during the song, so it keeps you listening. There are multiple ways to play, but the simplest has been a great start. You can easily pause the music video and drag to highlight text to translate. I haven't used other features. Also, it has Finnish! My only problem is the regional restrictions sometimes block Finnish music. I'm using it for Spanish and Finnish.

So I'm a Korean learner, I can not believe they only have Korean rominization. I never learned how to read Korean rominization, so imagine my shock when starting the music. 😂 Like, imagine putting advanced as your level, and you have to read romonization. I'm sorry, but that doesn't really allow for practicing your reading skills along with giving you the chance to memorise the words spelling. I would literally give this app 5 stars if it just had that one feature. 🥺😭

Great app! I've been using the free version and have thought about purchasing premium. I like how the free version has so many options while being free. However, I want to practice more than 3 free songs per day. I like how I have to really listen closely, and it's helping me get used to listening to Spanish while focusing on the connecting words to what I hear and fine tuning and pronunciation of words. I highly recommend it. Great job on making an awesome language app. Thanks!

I used the app for a little while, maybe 30 minutes, and can say this: the execution is really well done. I could definitely see it being a good way to learn the language in a very natural way. However, the description that you can learn through "your favorite songs" is misleading: You need to already have favorite songs in your target language. This would probably be great for Korean because of the K-pop boom, so many people have favorite K-pop songs they love but don't understand.

Literally a karaoke game that doesn't translate for you. When listening, you just fill in the missing lyrics of what you hear, so it's basically just training your listening skills but it will not tell you what the words mean. After collecting vocabulary, when translating the words to learn their meaning it keeps telling me that "translation is not available for romanized languages". So what is even the point of this app if you can't translate anything? You're better off using YouTube with subs.
