I do not like the new update. It's now difficult to search and located different strains. It pulls up places that "have" the strain and the majority of then shops dont have it. I like how in the old version the information and medical uses were at the top now I have to scroll and the information no longer stands out. It's more difficult to map where places are located. This was my go to app but not any longer.

Loved it before the UI change. Uninstalled it and won't br back until u can revert the UI back to the way it was. None of it makes sense. Multiple clicks to find some small bit of info, confusing shapes and colors that nobody will memorize, and the app is slower now. Used to reccomend this app to all my friends. Now I tell them to stay away.

Great source of information.... If you can find it in the first place. The way this app is set up is infuriating, I can look up a strain in the apps search bar and get NO results whatsoever; Google it, it's literally still Leafly as the top result except there's the strain I JUST looked up & got no results for in the app. Lots of other little inconsistencies too, the info is great, the app is poorly made though.

This app is so close to being perfect that it's frustrating. The software functions well, but they need to add a "favorite strains" and "Strains I want to try" function. It would be nice if it allowed me to set preferred dispensaries and prioritize information about those locations on the home screen, as well as notifying me when my favorite strains are in stock at preferred dispensaries. It would also be nice if I could set a preferred product type and filter menus by that type by default. It would also be nice if, when viewing strains on a menu I could tap that strain and see strain info/reviews. I also wish I could look up brand names and see what strain they actually are, but I know this isn't entirely up to Leafly to do.

It would be a better app if it worked consistently. But, it frequently fails to load pages, particularly in the strain database, which should be the least active data on the system and, potentially, cacheable to improve user experience. These days, there is no excuse for an "unable to load page, retry" error (even if you fail a load, you can program better responses than the canned ones).

Seriously? I mean what is the point of making a whole separate application if you are just going to force open my browser for every single thing? And it gets better; I want to continue shopping? Go back to the app. Want to add to your cart? Let's open as many tabs as you have items to purchase! Want to check out? Then waste your time logging in twice. Purchased complete and need confirmation? Let's slow down your phone with another browser window! Seriously. This app is literally useless.

Whoever approved the new redesign wasn't smoking a very good strain. I used to use this app as a way to find out more about different strains. It was easy and simple to use. Now, there's no more straightforward icons for each strain, you have to hunt through the page text to find any information, and simple colour coded icons and effect bars get replaced with complicated "flowers" that half the time are incomplete. Sad to see such a good app go like this, guess I've gotta find something else.

I don't particularly dislike the new look and does have interesting tidbits, but when I am going through a migraine and I need to find a location with a particular strain that helps, I can't do that anymore. The first location is 900 miles away but if I scroll to the 5th one, that is 70 miles away. At least put some "sort" so that the closest locations come first. Or if you are in the specific strain, to have the location in there as well. I will no longer use the app until this can be fixed.

I see they finally fixed some of the issues since they crapped it up on the last major update a while back. I had quit using it because of it. I would get rid of the snowflake as it isn't helpful without a legend, nobody uses it, it takes up an immense amount of real estate forcing you to have to scroll to get to any pertinent info further down. Want to keep it, move it to the bottom as it is worthless to most users. It's just a gimmick that gets in the way.

Very good to great app. I like browsing dispensaries with this over the other options. Combined with being able to look up strains, and some other features, its ALMOST an all in one app for me... The map is awful, I can't search a specific area very easily. Nothing appears unless zoomed way in and the "list" view doesn't work either; whats the point of that? Maybe its just very tempermental, but I've never had luck with it. 5+ stars if you improve the map search let me delete my other apps. 😉

As a medical user with multiple chronic conditions, it would be beneficial for me to be able to favorite strains by multiple effects and issues. For example, I would like to save a specific strain that others say (or that I think) is good for migraines and is uplifting for me. This feature should allow me to filter by effect and/or issue at once in my favorites as well. It would make my cannabis treatments so much easier to manage. Please consider!

Terrible UI Change. Please revert the changes when viewing strains. This app was so amazing to look up a strain and know the effects at a glance. Now with the update I have to memorize shapes and colors and sizes?!? Having the three categories such as benefit, medical and negative was so much easier to view. This app was my go to. I can't believe how irrationally mad I am about this.

Update changed EVERYTHING. The UI is confusing along with the new symbol system. There are all these unneeded bells and whistles that change Leafly's experience entirely. I also think Leafly purged their "Vew strains from A-Z" list, why the hell would you remove something that isn't broken?? I use that to remember names of strains, it helps jog my memory. Now this app is completely useless to me.

The old format was spectacular! After your website and app were changed a few months ago, they both completely stink, which is so disappointing. I'm sure this was all meant to be an improvement, but it was just the opposite. If you guys can undo all the "improvements" and take your website and app back to how they were this fall, you'll be solid. Just undo all the mess, and bring back your solid platform. You're losing business to Weedmaps now, trust me. --Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus

Leafly is a useful app. It's the best tool for accessing a database of cannabis strain information which is very detailed in every aspect of what each strain offers, reviews. It's also great for looking at info on dispensaries and seeing their menus, pricing, sales, and reviews. However, the app in its current form is unstable and crashes constantly, and also some issues with switching from dispensary to strain info and back. Worth using but seriously needs technical work and bug fixes asap.

It was a 5 star before the update. I understand the wanting it to be more "specialised", but not when it comes at the expense of simplicity. Add a bar graph, add a chart, add another page or 2, but don't implore your own convoluted icon, color, and description system. I won't be using this app like I used to to find out about strains anymore, just for ordering, unless you have some ideas about that too.

This app used to be much nicer but, as of the most recent update, I've been much less pleased. I'm someone who commutes a few hours each day so I get exposed to a good deal of my state, as well as the dispensaries. Prior to the most recent update to the front page, I would be able to simply open the app, look at the front oage and plan where I wanted to go either on my way to the office or home directly from the map but now the map is gone from the front page, where it was replaced by a crazy amount of ads. Much like Snapchat, it looks like the creators decided they weren't making enough momey and killed all the charm trying to rectify that. However, unlike Snapchat, these ads feel more like your typical mobile ads, the ones that are inopportune for the user because you can accidently click them, resetting any progress you've made.

***Update: filtering by dispensary distance still sucks!! 03/2022 I would give it 5 star however the filtering on it needs some serious work. It doesn't give you all locations that fit the filter. Only locations closest to you. I've even switched the location to broaden the search, and got worse results. I have to use the web version in order to get the results that I want, or call by phone. Plus when you do get results it doesn't list them closet first.

update: this still annoys me, so much so that on 4/20 i'm coming back to remove a star. the ability to track the strains i've tried and researched is important to my overall well being, and tracking the kinds of side effects so i can avoid certain strains is crucial. if this app allowed that, it'd be an excellent app. the app has some good features, but i can't find the history anymore, so i lost the record i was using to track what strains i bought and liked.

Love the concept and has great information! If the app was cleaned up a bit, add a journal/tracker where we can save custom strain impressions/analytics and a jobs board this app would go over the top. Right now it's a reference book... I envision it being the whole library and combining my bazillion apps. Bunch more ideas.!! 😀 I will update my stars as it grows!!
